The Bachelor Season 19 Chris - Prince Farming NO SPOILERS

Yes, she said he keeled over on a walk to work. I would seriously question it after all her comments. Her story is tragic but didn't she also say she "loves her story". Such weird facial expressions while talking about it. I don't get that at all, how do you love having the supposed love of your life die at such a young age.

Yeah, I thought that was quite weird at the time she said it. But here someone afterward said she's some type of counselor? And you bringing up how she "loves her story" again made me think of a technique some therapists use to overcome a traumatic event. We ALL have a story of our lives. For people who've been traumatized, when they retell it over and over, they are often the victim in their story. And they are STUCK in place in the trauma. Therapists who use the "story" technique try to get patients to write a "new story" where they learn to find their strengths, integrate what happened to them into their story, that it's just one chapter in their life and their story hasn't ended. They are not stuck in that story or that role of victim forever. They CAN turn around their story to be a victor over what happened to them. Usually the people who have overcome the most are the most inspiring to others. We all know someone like that. They have been able to rewrite their story (events being exactly the same) with a different interpretation to what happened to them, write a new proactive ending and give some meaning to what happened to them and teach the lessons to others.

I don't know if Kelsey is using that technique, because when she told Chris about her husband, she did sit back, say her DH's full name and certainly launched into a full "story." Only she just is is getting that story technique really wrong. :sad2: She's too detached from it. Like it happened to someone else. People are supposed to OWN their stories, but not in a detached way. All it is is a weird, creepy story. :crazy2: Maybe she thinks she can rewrite the ending by finding true love again and finally a happy ending with Chris? :confused3

Or, 18 months, is just too soon. She is detached because she's still numb. She detached herself from what happened to her and hasn't been letting herself really process what happened. She thinks just saying the "story" will be enough. Maybe she really did have a melt down when she realized Chris won't give her her happy ending and she fell apart because her "story" depends on it?

Or, maybe she got the idea to tell her "story" from her handler, who told her she needs to tell Chris her story, get it out between them (and on air, of course. ;))

Or she's a good actress.

OR, she's just a narcissistic psycho and this is the "story" of her life that she stars in.

And what about Brit not showering? What is that all about???

Eww! that was so skeevy when she said that! Really? She wants to admit on national TV that she doesn't shower? :crazy2:

Heh. Isn't nice to know that no matter how crazy you are, if someone is a little crazier (hellooooo Kelsey!) then your idiosyncracy gets forgotten.

I just used idiosyncracy in a sentence.

:rotfl:

Just trying to figure out a timeline. Andi's season ended in July, and they were taking casting tapes probably about then. Which means Kelsey applied to be the show just barely a year after her husbands sudden death. Too bizarre!

Bizarre? Bizarre? She's a guidance counselor! For kids! THAT'S bizarre...

she is s fruitcake for sure....I really don't see any of these girls living in Iowa.
....especially Ashley....she's from Wayne, N. J., which is about 15 minutes from my house. Just on the fact that she lives not more than 5 minutes away from a huge mall [AND a smaller one], she would probably be going through withdrawal after the first month in Iowa....:scared:

Hey, I'm from Wayne, NJ and when I got married, I moved to the middle of nowhere Nebraska. So it *can* be done. ::yes:: And this was before Walmart, Target and internet! I survived and it was one of the best experiences I had in many ways, but then again, I wasn't a Kardashian wanna-be. Lol. :flower3:

Wasn't there a time back in the beginning of this whole series that they actually tried to find a good match for a bachelor?

....oh no, don't get me wrong...it CAN be done - she just doesn't appear to be the 'country-girl' type...

Jumping in...I am kind of pulling for Carly, the cruise ship singer. Now her first impression to me, singing with the machine upon meeting Prince Farming was pretty hokey but I think she is legit looking to find THE one. I don't think Chris is the one for her, but I am hoping she is the next Bachelorette. However she may be one heck of an actress too and fooling me, but I think she is funny and sincere. She looked incredibly beautiful at the last rose ceremony..her hair was so cool! Kelsey is apparently the REAL nut job where as Ashley appears to have been the planted one~unless they are both plants. Honestly tho, Kelsey is like, seriously disturbed, protect yourself crazy~ where as Ashley was just circling in a different orbit crazy. Tomorrow should be interesting, tho I wish it wasn't giving Kelsey the screen time she is obviously after.

I totally agree! Carly has really grown on me. I like her, Becca, and Whitney.

It's so crazy that the girls are trying to outdo each other with their tragic "stories," as if that's somehow going to guarantee that they stay. Looking back at past seasons, it's never the one with the crazy sad background that gets chosen. I suppose there are a few exceptions to that, but usually it's the one who complains the least who gets chosen.

This might just be the worst season ever. I cannot stand Chris…he's a huge bore, and he is definitely an inconsiderate dog, though he's not as in your face about it as Juan Pablo was. I find myself fast forwarding through all of his boring dates and then watching where all the girls are together. I am pretty much at the point where I hope he picks someone I DON'T like, just so the girls I like are spared. So, Go Ashley and Kelsey!

This past week was so irritating to watch, with all the teasing and waiting for anything interesting to happen. Ugh! When there was 10 minutes left, I finally figured out that they were going to continue this until next week and I was SO aggravated!

....seriously...why draw it out any longer than it has to be....

This week is a little better. Am I the only one watching? He's on a group date, but singled out one person to take to the big finale of the date - ugh. He's an idiot.

I'm watching, but I'm about a half hour behind.

Oh... I'm glad Ashley called him out on repeating their conversation to KELSEY . Good for her. He's an IDIOT.

Speaking of idiots........... did I get Kelsey's name wrong? ahahahhah. The crazy one who is on the date with Chris and Ashley.

CORRECTED. THANKS.
