There's more to this story. I wonder if her daughter doesn't like Brad anymore or is refusing to move to Austin? Does anyone know if Emily has family other than her daughter? I know we didn't see any on the hometown date. This is just plain weird. Brad looks smitten and ready to marry her right now but she's holding back about something.

To me, he looks like a narcissist who wants to win what he hasn't been able to get. She'd be the cherry on his sundae. And he can't let her get away.

edit, just read back a few pages and saw the comments about the ring. This ATFR is completely awkward.

I suppose that's possible especially given that he just participated in a show where 25 women were ALL ABOUT HIM!

However, he looks ready and Emily doesn't. She is coming across highly put out that he showed interest in other women on the show other than her.

Time will tell, I wonder if they'll stay together. Who knows.

I hate to say this, but I have a feeling this relationship will not make it to marriage. I had a feeling after their last one on one date when she was making sure he was ready for the responsibility of fatherhood, he got very upset. Basically mad! I knew right then he had a temper. I think if it wasn't for the camera's in his face he would've threw a temper tantrum. I think its more to the story and Emily is being classy and not saying. Just my opinion.

Both of them need to compromise and it looks like neither have.

ETA: I don't think its all about her being worried about her child. I think she's super insecure and doesn't want to commit.

I actually don't think the not committing part is a bad thing on her part. He's not such a great prize.

I truly truly truly think that she cannot stand to watch him on the show kissing and showing affection to other girls...


I think this is the whole issue.... she is insecure.... she cant handle the truth of what happened on the show with the other women.

Other winners went through that, too. Just not to this extent.

* There is no way Emily will end up marrying this guy. I'm betting all the money I have on this one.
* Emily is stunning...truly beautiful.
* Chantal looked like she was dressed for a funeral. I hate the feathers and jewelry. The dress was way too tight for her.
* If Brad has a huge temper, Emily should run away fast.
* Why, oh why, don't they have kleenex in the limo???? Poor Chantal....

I totally agree. I think this is the "bear" that she's had to deal with over and over. He wants what HE wants, and he gets mad that she won't give it to him.

i'm amazed that they are letting them be so incredibly honest. normally, it's all sunshine and roses (no pun intended) during the ATFR. well, except for jason/melissa/molly--that one was a huge train-wreck.

i get it though. i think it would be hard to hear him say he fell for her early and yet he apparently got it on with Chantal in the fantasy suite. and i do think Emily seems insecure and guarded. she definitely pushes people away to try to prevent her and her daughter from being hurt.
