Thursday 25th & Friday 26th August
We were up really early today and finished packing.
We checked out and were at the Travel City LBV check-in by 8.30. We couldnt get any seats upstairs but had row 25, 4 seats together in the middle. We didnt even have a window seat which we would have liked, never mind there is always next year.
After check in we went to the Golden Corral on the 535 which we hadnt eaten in on this trip.
The breakfast was really good and Theresa said her favourites were the iced doughnuts and the apple Danish pastries, not really British breakfast items (I wondered if Theresa is turning into an American).
Breakfast was $26 and worth every penny.
After breakfast we had a round of crazy Golf (another tradition on our last day).
This time it was at the Hawaiian Rumble where Theresa kept score and took photos. Callum and I must hang our heads in shame as Maddie won and she is normally last by a long way (I blame the weather, as by the time we finished the fronds on the palm trees were blowing at right angles.)
Next we went to Wal-Mart ( just couldnt resist one last visit) and yes more scrapbooking stuff but this time it had to go in the hand luggage as we had checked the cases.
We then had a last treat and went to Steak N Shake and all had a huge milkshake each.
This was a great way to end the holiday. YUMTASTIC
At the airport by 3.00 but the flight was delayed for 1 hour due to technical problems
so we were away by 6.00 pm.
The food was Ok - sausage and mash or chicken and veg, and the films were Valiant and Monster in Law which were both watchable.
We made good time and landed just after 7.00 am., met Peter and were home by 9.00.
We dropped the cases in and we had picked the pets up by 10.00 (We missed them so much, it was good to be home).
Maddie sorted through the pile of post and found her exam results.
She needed a little encouragement to open them, she even asked Theresa to do it for her but in the end she did it
She had 6 A*s and 5 As so perhaps she is right and everything I say is stupid (and if thats the case you must be even stupider for having read all of my rambling gibberish).
Summary and some scrapbooking pages to follow shortly.
Callum is know happy as he is back doing what he loves, driving us all mad with the noise (note the new red guitar all the way from the US of A)
Thank you for reading and I hope you have as much fun on your holidays as we did on ours.
