The Apprentice- Martha Stewart

I saw Shawn on Martha's show today. @@ She didn't stop talking. All she did was try to defend herself about losing. I think Martha was completely annoyed!!
Did anyone else see it today?

Trump would have fired david for bringing in the wrong people. And thats what I think should have happened.

He did that last week just in fact.

The PM wanted to bring in the one guy that everyone wanted to go and he was the ONE guy who said what they did on their project was not right. So they lost the task. Trump refused to fire him b/c he was the only one who was right--so he fired the PM.

I cannot believe Martha brought everyone back in. She's playing by her own rules as she always has. I'm glad that Dawn was spared though--she didn't do anything that caused the task to lose.

I thought the cake was horrible, but Martha was right--the cake didn't lose it, the sales team did since they couldn't sell 1. However--in that case....the chef that was brought back in should have been hired since that is who the PM brought back in.

Did anyone see how Jim pat Dawn on the back when they went back to the Loft at the end? Still trying to figure out if he was being condescending when he did that. She was very happy and jubilant when he go the news about his daughter and he seemed less wired this episode...perhaps his early PMS was related to expectant Daddy stress.

I missed this weeks show!
Who got 'told goodbye' as Martha would say....
Was it any good this week, what was the task?

They asked for a volunteer to go over and help the continual losers, so the red headed woman volunteered (I can't remember her name.) They had to renovate a hotel suite for Westin with a theme and a new travel style. They each did a decent job, but the creative team's furniture didn't get delivered on time, so when the execs came to see the place there was no furniture. Therefore, they lost. Dawn was being a whiner during the task, saying that she refused to paint (which they had to do because they brainstormed for 6 hours while the contractors sat and waited to be told what needed to be done,) she kept sleeping and not getting up and ready when the team needed to leave, and was overall a little negative. Due to all of that, Dawn was sent homee. I left some stuff out, I know, but maybe others can fill in since I need to get scooting :)

Is it me or does it seem like NONE of the applicants are Martha worthy. I know the one team keeps on winning--but I have seen no shining stars that would appease Martha in any way.

I wouldn't be surprised if after last week not going with who the PM picked...that at the end she says..."You know what..I expected more from some of the best talent in the country and I didn't get it from either of you. I am going to send both of you home".

It would be such a martha thing to do.

The themes for the two rooms were fun (movie area, gaming area) and something with initials that spelled a word--but I don't recall the word. They didn't have their seating furniture, so maybe that's why I don't remember the word.

The jerk seems more toned down. Either editing--or maybe he was just super stressed with his wife's pregnancy and has now re-landed back on planet earth to live like a human being. Seems less controversial and combatitive.

Dawn dug her own grave this week. She should know Martha gets maybe 2-4 hours sleep a night...TOPS!!! That woman is dressed and coiffed and working when she calls the loft. Everyone's just getting up when the phone rings.

You'd think that after being the team scapegoat (and escaping being fired) for the past few weeks, Dawn would be on her best behavior. Oh well, good riddance.

I keep getting these people confused with the contestants in the Donald Trump version.

Me too! I don't know if it's because none of them are very memorable or 'Martha worthy' (as Lisalovespooh put it :rotfl: ) or if it's because the two shows and tasks are so similar.

Thanks for the recaps!!
I went onto NBC.com and saw the rooms, and a recap too. Looked like another blow-out for the winning team. That other team just can't get it together.

What the heck!!!! That Jim is a mess! Very cocky and arrogant! He should've got the boot. Martha is keeping Jim around for t.v. entertainment/drama. I thought he was an embarrasement with the comments he was making to the customers. I'm shocked she got rid of Jennifer instead :confused3 .

Yeah, I can't imagine why Martha would keep Jim around except that he generates drama (and ratings?) He's a low-class pushy jerk. How would he ever "fit" in her organization? Jen was wrong not to stand up to Jim, but at least she was classy. I'd really like to smash Jim's head into a quiche...

And this guy is raising a family!?!?!?!?! Jim is scary and totally out of control.

I totally applaud Martha for keeping Jim around for the entertainment value. She knew that Jennfier did not have what it takes to be a part of her company so she fired her now instead of later. Martha's letter to her did not even contain much of anything compared to letters in the past (Dear Jenn, thanks for applying you can now go back to your normal job), so thanks you Martha for getting rid of dead weight and keeping around entertainment for at least 1 more episode. If Primarius loses next week though, Jim is gone.

I totally agree. I said this early on - Jim makes good t.v. He will not go home yet - he brings drama to this show and he will stay for a while longer. Jennifer did not add much entertainment value and because she didn't stand up to Jim - she had to go.

Jim is VERY annoying. He gets on my last nerve :earseek:

Whoever dropped the F-bomb should have been fired, no question. I'm not clear if it was Jim or the other guy (Howie?). I'm surprised it didn't come up in the boardroom. You can't get much more unprofessional than that.

It was Jim and yes, he should have.

Jim is off the wall. I think they are keeping him for the "entertainment" value. It causing her show to lose credibility.

I think it is interesting that Martha decided who was going to the boardroom last night. She didn't even give the PM a chance to say who she thought should go.

Personally, I think both of them should have been fired. Trump has done that before. Jim is a total arrogant, cocky nutcase and Jennifer is an ineffectve manager.

I really liked the challenge though. I would like to taste both of those dressings myself.

Did you see that horribly scripted Wishbone ad? Looks like the winning salad dressing will be released to the market for a limited time, so you will be able to taste the Rosemary Lime one.

I didn't like that Martha chose who would attend the final boardroom, but it was pretty obvious that Jennifer and Jim were the only contenders.
