~ The Amazing Race ~ Season 16 ~

:rotfl2: How did I miss that? Who said it and when?

I loved the cowboy talking about the gnome's poker face. :happytv:

Jeff said it to Jordan. I think it was when they kept going to the wrong bandit and then read the instructions.:lmao:

Its good they can laugh at themselves.:rotfl:

All in all, a good night. Cowboys got first, father&daughter got second. (I actually haven't watched it. We're in Germany so the shows are a week behind. Thank god the CBS has it one their website :D )

Can someone tell me about the ER scene? I missed the first 15 minutes due to stupid dvr

The beauty queen and boyfriend went because they thought they had food poisoning but I think they just ended up dehydrated . Both got an IV drip and they went back to the race, three hours after there start time.

They're going to Germany next! :thumbsup2

OMG, do you know what I just realized? There have been earthquakes in Chile and Argentina (the first 3 legs of the race) and on Sunday a storm hit the coast of France near Germany (killed 34 people:scared1:) and we got hurricane-force winds in our area (Germany is the next stop). That's creepy!

So you think we can predict upcoming weather and natural disasters based on the Amazing Race 16 routing?

Loved the cowboys last night. They really are funny guys and SMART!

Jeff telling Jordan "we really shouldn't reproduce" :rotfl2:

Just watched the elimination station videos, their Mexican Chaman Spa was pretty funny. Puerto Vallarta is beautiful. :thumbsup2

haha it was funny, I think she didn't like the comment  I cannot believed they didn't read the clue correctly even after the other team mentioned the train station, not until the cops mentioned the numbers

I was watching a couple of the secret scenes videos and looks like Carol was being a "B" with the other teams, one of the cowboys asked her is she knew where the bathroom was, I guess at the end of the leg rest place and she told him to go to the top of the Andes :upsidedow something like that, she also said something to Steve that offended him.

Last night when Carol and Brandy were bickering DH and I were laughing because I said I would be the one having the tantrum (Carol) and DH would be the one being sarcastic about it (Brandy). I could so never go on this show - I do not handle pressure well at all.

Jeff telling Jordan that they should never reproduce was hilarious. Jordan & Jeff were so sweet on Big Brother, but they really aren't the brightest.

I really like the cowboys - I would say they are my favorite team right now.

Double agreed! :thumbsup2 DH and I both bugged out our eyes when granny said this was the grandchild she respectecd the most out of all of them! No grandparent should ever say that....nat'l tv or not.

Never watched Big Brother, but I am rooting for Jordan' team. Her boyfriend seems like a genuinely nice guy.

I couldn't believe the Grandma said that about her grandchildren! I feel sorry for her other grands. :sad2: I have 5 grands of my own and I have a special way for telling them how special they are to me. I say "You are my favorite *insert child's name here*, so they can ALL be my favorites, individually. :goodvibes

Yeah, the cowboys should cruise through tonight, and keep their first place ranking! I hope so, they seem like really nice guys.

So glad to see them come in first place again!! They are so much fun to watch, I love how they make jokes like about the gnome having a poker face!!

"We shouldn't reproduce." had to be the line of the night.

DH and I laughed so loud over that comment!!!

I was really sorry to see the two women (can't remember their names, darn it) go last night. I was really hoping it would be a non-elimination night. They had such good attitudes, especially the one trying to "rope the cow" and kept having to try over and over and over but she never showed her frustration.

Loved seeing the father/daughter team come in second too!! Still cheering for Jordan and Jeff, and wanting the gay guy and his brother, and the lesbian women, and Joe and Heidi to go home soon.

You know, it's almost better that the grandma admit that she has a favorite. My father's mother never admitted that, but at each holiday, my grandparents would hand $5 to each grandchild except three of them would also get an envelope to "open at home."

At least my other grandparents were like you. We were all their favorites.

As for the race, I wonder how long the tickets are good for the cowboys to go back to Santiago. Though, it makes me wonder if they would try to go back now to see what they could do to help the people that are displaced because of the earthquake. The cowboys just seem (so far) like the type of people who would do that.

I was glad the ER visit wasn't too time-consuming. I'd hate to see anyone eliminated because they got hurt or were too sick to continue.

Just wanted to pop in and say hi. I am a HUGE Olympic freak so I haven't been watching anything other than that (well, I watched Survivor too but nothing else) the last few weeks. My DVR has been going crazy trying to keep up with everything else! Luckily a lot of things were in repeats for the second week of the Olympics. Anyway, decided against the closing ceremonies last night and watched the first 3 weeks of Amazing Race instead :thumbsup2

I am surprised by how much I like Jeff and Jordan. Never watched Big Brother so not familiar with them but I thought I would hate them and I don't. They actually seem really sweet to me, although definitely not the brightest crayons in the box.

I also am surprised by the cowboys. I expected them to do well but surprised that they actually seem pretty nice too.

The beauty queen I do feel bad for...that must be incredibly hard living with that mistake your whole life. I don't know if I like them as a team, but I am glad that the sickness didn't take them out of the race...that is no way to go!

The father/daughter team seems ok too, but we hardly get to see them.

Liked the Nana and granddaughter at first, but I couldn't believe she made that comment about Shannon being her favorite. That dropped her down in my book. It is only natural to have favorites, but you don't go around declaring that on national TV!!!!! My grandparents had favorites I am sure, but they treated us all the same no matter what!

I know I am behind, but just wanted to share my observations. Hopefully I can keep up now that the Olympics are over and my TV viewing gets back on track :happytv:
