The Amazing Race 7...official Thread

Just read that Rob and Amber got married in the Bahamas...........the whole thing will be on TV the end of May.........did anyone else read this?

Why didn't the teams get out some money and pay the locals to help push the elephants? I'm sure it wouldn't take much. Also, I thought that Kelly was nice for asking people to help Meredith because he looked so tired, while Rob on the other hand, wanted to run them down or knock them over (don't remember which). Rob and Amber have been interesting to watch, but I really hope they don't win, especially after Rob about yanked that poor Indian child laborer's arm off. Ron deserves at least half a million for being a POW.

That's the way I like the teams as well.

Though DH would disagree- he said last night that I was going to have to mute the TV if "that woman" whined any longer! lol Funny her voice did not seem grating until last week and now oh boy!! Other than that, I do like them.

Happy to see the boyfriends go! I don't see why people ding Rob and Amber for every little thing when ... have you HEARD these guys talking? They have been the most disrespectful imho.

Ugh-- I'm so irritated that Gretchen and Meredith are still in the race. :sad2: I like Meredith, but I don't think I can stand another show of Gretchen's constant whining. As if her voice isn't bad enough, her behavior in last night's show was completely selfish! I can't believe she was sitting on top of that elephant screaming to go faster while her husband was having to push all that extra weight. :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

Does anyone know how much of a "lead" Uchenna and Joyce actually got last night when checking in? It seems like Rob/Amber and Ron/Kelly were RIGHT behind them.

I thought the same thing. I was afraid there for a while that U & J might not make it to the mat first. Of course it could all be in the editing. Guess we'll find out next week when we see their departure times

Glad to see Alex and Lynn out of the race.. their constant whining about Rob and Amber were getting on my last nerves.

But OMG.. GRETCHEN. I like Meridith. The man should be made a saint to put up with her constant yelling (or does he have a hearing aide that he turns down? ;) )

I was waiting for him to snap last night and yell "GRETCHEN, get you %$@*# out of the *#$&@ Elephant and help us push it!" :rotfl2: Nothing like taking a 600 pound elephant and adding a 140 pounds of screaming Gretchen to it to make a challenge easier..lol Did you notice that she tried to grab on to the back of L&A's elephant? What, was she hoping they wouldn't notice another 740 pounds dragging along behind?? LOL And when she was yelling during the camel races I'm not sure but when Meridith's camel bowed down in the front, I'm pretty sure he covered his ears with his hooves. :confused3 :rotfl:

Okay.. enough Gretchen bashing.. just having fun you guys.

I really give Joyce props for shaving her head. Not sure I could have done it. She has such a tiny head without all her hair!! She did look good though!

Kelly - BLECK - that sums it up. Never cared for her much and if her comment was in the context we assume it is from the previews for next week, someone needs to slap her silly.

Rob and Amber - still love them. They are so playing the game at a new level and have never once shown any disrespect towards each other. (Which is RARE in this show!)

here is two thoughts about the elephants...
I wondered if kelly was telling people to help JUST because they were in their way and they couldn't get by????

Then did you see Meredith reach out and hang onto the top of the boyfriends elephant???, like she was going to keep it from passing?? :confused3

One fo the reasons I think Rob and Amber works so well, is she is SO passive. She is so sweet with him and they just click.

Although during the camel race was a perfect time for Rob to get frustrated and yell at her, but he didn't. I think he was dragging her too much when they came to the mat... I know you never know who is behind or in front of you....

Ok, I was reading this while drinking coffee and it almost came out of my nose...LOL

I was just talking to one of my co-workers about her trying to grab onto the elephant.....I was really thinking she was going to fall out of hers!

That was Gretchen...but yes, I did see that. I wish the boyfriends would have seen that and given her a piece of their mind!

I missed the Early Show on CBS with the boyfriends......

Can anyone quote how they're doing, etc., What did that they???

Thanks!!

HEHE, I am always saying the wrong names for those two. My dd, is always like, is that Meredith, is that Meredith??? :rotfl:

Gretchen and Meredith: They have the luck of something! No disrespect, but they do NOT deserve to be in the race anymore. I have never seen a team make so many STUPID mistakes. Last night with her on the elephant is just one more in the long list. I have NEVER seen a team completely incapable of reading a clue and following it correctly. And her voice is akin to some kind of medieval torture. The AR should copyright that "oh my god" and sell it to prisons to use to use in interrogations. I would do anything to make it stop!

Ron and Kelly: I will with hold comment on her POW statement until seeing the full episode next week. While I do not like either one of them they really are the lesser of many evils so I guess I hope they make it to third place. They both seem like they have very little respect for each other. But they have made relatively few mistakes, so I think they deserve third.

Joyce and Uchenna: I am impressed with how well she took shaving her hair, but I don't know if I would have even gone for the fast forward (knowing what Indian customs are). I don't think it was particulary brave though, I mean what is a little hair if you win a million? I agree with all the other posters who say that they just can't connect with J & U. I want to, but they just seem a little cold to me. As long as they don't get lost (which they have a tendency to do) I hope they finish second.

Rob and Amber: I will admit to being a Rob and Amber fan from the beginning. I enjoyed the way they raced from day 1 and really wanted them to make top 3. But since none of the other teams have really stood out and really won my loyalty, I now hope R & A go all the way. They have played the game the smartest, made very few mistakes and are genuinely pretty nice and caring to each other. I was impressed with their relationship, I didn't think it would last. And, they are the only team that consistently reads their clues correctly! I think Amber does a lot more than people realize, it just doesn't make as good of TV as Rob-father.

Lynn and Alex: They were way past their time to go. And to still continue going on about Rob and Amber.....get over it. They beat you fair and square. Nuff said!

I don't think so. She said, "He looks so tired." about Meredith and then yelled it.

:cheer2: That one team of whiners is gone. I couldn't stand listening to the boyfriends. Here's :cheer2: that the next team of whiners will be gone next week.

I'm really hoping Rob/Amber and Joyce/Uchenna go neck and neck until the end, but Rob/Amber pull it out and win. Kudos to Joyce for shaving her head. She's got guts. She looks so much better without her hair though. She's got an absolutely beautiful face.

Gotta add, though, that I think it's quite refreshing that Ron/Kelly have hooked up with Rob/Amber. They even passed a comment that it was nice being able to sit and talk with them and get to know them more than "the race" and that they think Rob's a nice guy. See, what you see isn't always what you get.

Someone mentioned a while back that they thought or had heard that Ron and Kelly's agents had put them together as a team just for the sake of AR - I'm begining to believe that theory. They certainly don't act like a couple that's romantically involved.

He was trying to get the locals to help him and said something like "it's hard to control Indian labor"....

He was GRABBING & FORCING those people to help!! I did not see any other team grabbing people by their arm & saying help me push this thing. He was not asking, he was demanding.
I really do not see what the appeal is about him. He really makes me sick! (Attention Rob: Cockiness is NOT attractive!!!!!)
The day they get elminated I will be doing the happy dance :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
Although I do believe it will be R/A, R/K & U/J in the final three.
I am pulling for U/J to leave the other teams in the dust :teeth:

I agree, I don't think there is any romance between Ron and Kelly. It's like they barely know each other.

I just love Rob, he uses all his resources :sunny:

No, I just watched that part again and that was Lynn who said "run that elephant over". Rob never said anything about M&G.
