THE AMAZING RACE 15, ~Season Premier~ 09/27/09 pg 64!

I was surprised how short the stunt guys looked on the tar mat:)

They said at the beginning that they were stunt doubles for children. Are they just short? My DD (10) came out and said "cool--I love it when little people are on!:rotfl: " They are her team this time around.

They are "little people". I don't think they are dwarves, maybe midgets? They are funny, and I loved their reaction to having to bungee jump! No problem for them.

I don't have a team to hate yet. Everyone is so nice right now. Although, the hick team was annoying me. The wife is so far out of shape for this, I don't know how they got picked for the show. She can't run 100 feet. I feel bad for her husband.

The cheese challenge was funny, But, damn, I cringed everytime someone fell and smashed their carrier. It looked like they could of gotten hurt.

Can't wait for next week.

We were dying through the cheese challenge here, too. What a hoot! I had the suggestion that one team member roll them down, while the other played "goalie" at the bottom. Not sure if that would have been allowed, though.

Not a good idea. Those were 100 pound cheese wheels. I wouldn't want to be in front of one that has been gaining speed down a hill :rotfl:

I can't remember a finish for last place as close as Sunday night's finish. Was there ever any other finish that close?

I caught this too. Why do people seem to think that Spanish is a universal language?:confused3

Loved, loved, loved the cheese part! DH said first thing that they should have gone down backwards so that gravity wasn't working against them. Then what do you know, that's exactly what the hillbillies did! And why in the world was Linda carrying her coat when she was trying to walk up that hill? Leave that think at the bottom, honey!:rotfl2:

Can't wait till next week!

Spanish and Italian are similiar. I took 4 yrs of Spanish and it helped me tremendously when I lived in Italy for 3 yrs. :) Didn't make me able to speak Italian but I could read it pretty good, which was essential LOL. I needed to know what I was ordering on a menu LOL.

Actually, I think they were only 50 pounds each, so they needed 4, total, to get 200 pounds. Still, I agree with you--that was one long, steep hill for the laws of physics to work on 50 pounds of cheese! It just seemed like, when a wheel got loose, it really took off down the hill.

Did you see the one break thru the fence. Not a sturdy fence, but still  I wouldn't want to be at the bottom. It would be more like bowling than soccer.

Okay, I have to ask...it's probably obvious, but a 50-lb. wheel of cheese hurtling downhill could break a bone, couldn't it? I'm asking because that is something that would happen to me...

"How'd you break your leg?" "Got run over by cheese."

LIZ.... :lmao: :lmao:

I have a question for everyone.....do the contestants get to sightsee at all. Sunday night DS said to me that it appeared they never had any cameras with them to take pictures.......hmmm......

Watching Brad get emotional when he saw the Alps (it was the Alps right?)...we chatted about this and wondered if they have time off between shows???

Kar, it's true! I've dislocated my shoulder while washing my car...one day at work last summer, I popped out my kneecap while pulling my chair in under my desk...so yeah, if I got hit by rogue cheese, I'm sure something would break! :teeth:

 Oh my, Liz!!!! Well the cheese looked like it was going 50mph!!! And those men were all laughing!!! We could not figure out why the cheese was up there and why they had to carry them down....the hill was so steep and slippery!

I noticed that too and wondered how they did it since it seemed so hard for the racers.

DH and I thought the same thing. But we decided that there was no way they still used those carry-things. That's probably why they broke so easy--They were antique and dry-rotted. DD decided that the men were laughing because the contestants had to use the sled things, rather than driving the cheese down the path going down the other side of the hill like they do:rotfl:

I am so sad, Sunday was so busy for me I missed the first episode. In the entire running of the series I never missed the first episode. I am so sad.

 oh I must have missed that part..

They are super bungee jumpers and don't seem to have much fear of course they are probably used to doing crazy stuff. I thought they did pretty well:thumbsup2

DD just watched the first episode online yesterday. Afterwards, she called me and said "I think it would be funny if at the next city, there would be a challenge where the have to eat cheese!" :lmao:

If it was my job to get those cheese wheels down the hill, I'd erect a net like they use on naval carriers to catch jets landing on deck and just roll the cheese wheels into the net The heck with carrying them downhill.

I thought the roadblock said they had to carry them though. It looked like all the teams at least had their arms in a carry position even when they slide on their butts.
