THE AMAZING RACE 15, ~Season Premier~ 09/27/09 pg 64!

The initial clue box with Jen/Kisha and Margie/Luke seemed like an accident - not a big deal. Luke obviously couldn't hear her coming and responded instinctly. Kisha should have waited - he was there first and this would not have even occured.

The bad word comment was totally and completely out of line. Unbelievable! Margie should have never told Luke what was said. She should have tried to calm the situation rather than make it worse.

The second box looked again accidental. Two very competitve teams running towards the clue box. Not a big deal - getting closer to the end and both teams working hard.

The mat though was something else. The girls started laughing only after Luke starting trying to talk - I think that's what Margie was so upset over. That was so completely out of line!

Not certain, but I thought after the 1st incident the two sisters were discussing it in their cab and did say something about laughing at him or they were going to. They did seem to be still angry over what they thought were Luke & Margie giving them wrong directions on the previous leg. That didn't seem that way to me. I thought their cab driver got the wrong directions, & Margie said to her driver not to tell them. They were all in their cabs at the time.

Oh well.

I know I am in the minority, but I like the cheerleaders & Luke & Margie best.

I completely agree. I don't think Luke did anything wrong either time. Kisha and Jen just seem like jerks to DH and I.

I couldn't disagree more. He knew she was there at the first clue box, they were running together. A person doesn't accidently throw an elbow. Second box, he pushed her. He is a spoiled baby.

Why shouldn't Margie have told Luke that she called him that? He would have seen it on TV anyway and may have been upset if she didn't tell him.

I still like both teams, but they were both out of line at different parts. Hope it all blows over next week.

Margie was out of line at the mat. The girls were not laughing at him. Phil even tried to explain to her that they were not laughing.

The one girl apologized and tried to explain why she was smiling. Margie refused to listen. And even injected race.

I think the second encounter was an accident, but not the first. He hit her in the face with his elbow. He knew she was close by. Why else would he try to block the clue box with his body?

They were my favorite two teams. Now I want Margie and Luke to go home. Hopefully the girls will get to use a u-turn or yield on them.

First box Luke couldn't hear Jen coming and defended himself. I'm sure she didn't think of that at the time and reacted inappropriately.

The second box was escaleted from the first box and was just dumb on both parts.

The mat I didn't really think they were laughing at Luke. Sometimes when people start freaking out at you like that you just smile/laugh at them if you think they are acting rediculous. That's probably all that was.

I hope they all get some sleep and cool off.

He didn't have to hear her, they were running together.

Well, after watching and rewinding a couple of times...I'm still not totally sure what happened.

The first clue box, Luke reached first and Jen did grab him from behind. Maybe he shouldn't have swung an elbow at her, but she shouldn't have been grabbing him! He was there, she should have waited the 2 seconds until he stepped back.

The second clue box, watching it in slow motion, it really looked like she tripped over his foot/leg...they were running right by each other and it really just looked like their feet tangled together. She grabbed onto the box (I think maybe to catch herself from falling?), then swung her arm. He stepped back and put his hands up. Margie yelled at them to knock it off.

But I'm wondering if anybody else took note of Kisha and Jen's comment (on the plane, maybe?) that if they had to push somebody they would...so it's like they kinda went into the leg looking for a fight.

As far as the scene at the mat...well, who knows? It may have been a nervous laugh for Kisha, but I'm sure it didn't feel that way to Margie and Luke. I do think M&L might have overreacted to that part a bit...but knowing what they've experienced his whole life, it's kind of understandable. I think a lot of people probably would overreact the same way - especially being already agitated from the rest of the leg.

If I was Tammy & Victor, I'd be a bit annoyed that M&L and K&J tagged along for the whole detour - and then K&J came in first!

I'm glad to see Mike and Mark gone...and really want Kisha and Jen to go next - and not just because of tonight. I haven't really liked them for most of the race.

I think Jen's momentum carried her into Luke during the first run. I think she was running and couldn't stop in time to keep from running into him.
What I think is the worst part of all of this is how Luke is ranting on about how Jen should not have called him a B and how he would have hit her if he had known she did that, but then he turns around and does the exact same thing back! He called her a B. Don't say Jen is wrong for doing that but it is ok for you to do it. I've read some things behind the scenes that they Margie and Luke have done and I really question them. They are a pretty sneaky pair - and that includes the mom as well. I sure hope they don't win.

What have you read?

I liked Margie & Luke early on, but I like them less each week. Same thing with Kisha and Jen. And I can't stand the cheerleader girls. So I guess I'm rooting for Tammy & Victor by default. :)

I think they were just laughing at how upset everyone was about it. It didn't seem like they were laughing at his signing at all. I felt it looked bad on Luke and Margie and not so much on the girls.
Agree

Disagree totally!

:thumbsup2 Both teams saw the first box -finally:rotfl2: -at the same time. Luke went first and Kisha reached around him to get her clue. He elbowed her, and, in my mind, it was intentional. She reacted with B**** and admitted saying it readily. Yeah, Kisha almost fell over at the second box with Luke's momentum pushing her.

Margie was out of line at the mat. The girls were not laughing at him. Phil even tried to explain to her that they were not laughing.

::yes:: Phil did try to smooth it over, and Margie (figuratively) seemed to put her fingers in her ears and ignore what he was saying. Mother Bear affect? "My cub can do no wrong....unless I say it's wrong?"

I think that Kisha and Jen DO remember the leg before when Margie and Luke had their cab driver give the wrong directions to their driver. A strong team will not have to resort to lying, hiding clues (Mark and Michael and the bicycle pumps), pushing or shoving to stay in the race.

I felt sorry for Tammy and Victor. They looked so uncomfortable on the mat....and they ran a strong race!

I would hope so they are Chinese! I was cracking up when Tammy said in Chinese" Please we are Chinese American and if we don't win this task my Mother will cry herself to death":rotfl2:

Personally I think the whole Margie/Luke and Keisha/Jen thing was a misunderstanding that got out of control.

The cabs from last week - I didn't see it as their cabbie lying to K/J's cab- I think it was more of a they got additional information after the fact and chose to not share it with K/J's cab.
It's a race. I don't think I would be helping out the other teams either.

So going in I think Kisha was looking for a fight. She was mad about the cab.

Now I also think Margie has years of frustration about how Luke has been treated and reacted out of THAT vs. what really had occured. She seems to be on overdrive and I think she just blew.
I also don't think Jen was "laughing" at him for signing- she was Laughing at him for his explanation of what had occured. Like in a "yeah right that's what happened" way.

I just felt bad for all of them and can't believe that I'm actually going to have to cheer on Tammy and Victor. I thought Victor was so stuck up in the beginning - but I have to remember editing.
It was a good episode.

I agree.

My opinion is Luke overreacted with the elbow and Kisha over reacted with the name. I don't buy that it was because he couldn't hear her coming.....he knew she was right there. So a wash there, but that is just stuff that happens in the heat of the moment.

The sisters seemed irritated by the whole incident (and the cab incident from last week), but they seemed to be pretty much over it.....but Luke could not let it go. You could see it in his face the whole time. Did anyone else see Margie tell him that he can't fight them? Luke seems very aggressive and seems to react physically.

The second incident it looks like Kisha tripped or got tangled up. She even said it was momentum. Again, Luke completely over reacted. The mat incident was also overblown. Margie should have just stayed out of it, and bringing up the sisters race was uncalled for.

I really don't like either team, but I definitely think M&L were way out of line on this one.

I agree with this. Keisha even said in the cab on the way to the airport, "this is when the competitive nature comes out. If someone's in front of me, I'm going to knock him over." The way it looked to me, Luke knew he was elbowing her, it wasn't an accident, an little overreaction, but I don't really blame him, he was at the clue box first and she was trying to push past him, just like she said she would. She came out looking like the biggest B IMO, good grief, both teams just wasted more time wandering around two feet from the clue box without seeing it (duh! :rotfl:), than the 2 seconds she would have had to wait her turn to take the clue out of the box.

Then, the way they kept calling him a B, I don't get that. That's not a name that would ever enter my mind to call a man. Seems like they were doing that just to rile him up even more.

Second clue box was the exact opposite of the first. Keisha had a slight lead, Luke tried to push past her, her momentum carried her into the clue box, she still reached it first and Luke kept trying to reach around her.

Both teams were clearly in the wrong and were pretty equal in their pushing and shoving, but Keisha and Jen came off worse IMO, smirking and calling a guy a B.

I total agree with this!

And when they couldn't see the clue box when they were pretty well standing in front of it .....

The brothers had a pretty easy speed bump to do, the one brother's lady looked like he was putting the shampoo on dry hair.:confused3 But I knew they were not going to catch up.

My thoughts exactly. All I kept thinking while watching was "what a spoiled brat!"
