Hi! I just got back yesterday. No I wasn't at CL this time. I had a SV 2 BR for this trip with my sister, niece and nephew. We didn't get the Arusha savanna but this time ended up on the sunset savanna. Our room was in the first spur and looked towards Kidani. We had a great view.


The re-painting of the building was in the pool area this past weekend.

Do you mean other websites about Animal Kingdom Lodge? If so, here are a few:

They don't belong to Animal Kingdom Lodge--anything that did would be on the Disney site. But they do have some good information!

I will be at AKL for my birthday as well(Jan. 5 2009) I think we will be there from January 3-6. This is a last minute decision to go, and hope we are able to book it with such short notice. I am hoping the crowds will be easing by the 4th and 5th.

Wow, it took a long time to read this thread!

I just switched my reservation for early January over to AKL. I still have a few questions:

I have two rooms reserved, one is for a mother and son. I requested that my room connects with theirs, too. Should I be worried about them not getting a room with two beds? (I'm happy with either a king or two beds in my room.)

How long is the story time at the fire pit? Is this something that two adults and a 12 year old boy would be interested in? If the story time is still at 7:30when we get there, would we have time to make it to an 8 pm ADR at Jiko?

Is the staffing at bell services usually adequate or should I be prepared to schlep my own bags at check in?
