Club Level rooms are now guaranteed savanna view. All CL rooms are located on the 4th floor. The CL rooms face the Arusha Savanna and are on either the Zebra or Kudu Trail.

Thank you!! I emailed the IPO and they emailed me back in a flash:)

They said that they would add my request for bunkbeds and that they would do their best but that they only have a few bunkbed CL rooms. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for those bunkbeds:)

They said I would be staying in a standard club level room and that all these rooms face the Arusha Savannah. Is that good?

Is there another type of club level room I could have booked? She did state I'm in a Standard. I didn't see any other to chose from on the website.

When I log into disney.com to view my reservation it says for room type: "Standard Room - Kilimanjaro Club".

I too just booked my first CL stay at AKL (WOOOOOOHOOOOOO!) but my disneyworld.com reservation says "Standard Room - Club Level". Someone please reassure me that these are the same thing, pretty please?

Mommy_Jen, I am not expert, of course, but I think there used to be a deluxe room classification when you booked CL. Those rooms have been given to DVC so standard room is the only CL room classification now. Someone correct me, if I am way off-base!

I forgot to ask my question.

Is there only one concierge lounge shared by both regular AKL and DVC guests or do they each have their own lounge? Thanks!

yes, there is only 1 lounge...I asked this question too several months ago....the lounge is shared and I've heard that if you don't arrive early for the evening (dinner) treats they disappear fast

by the way I just checked and my reservation online and it also says "Standard Room - Kilimanjaro Club " I was told here that there is only one type of CL room for AKL now that the other rooms are DVC

Thanks for the lounge info.

I am a little concerned though that there is no mention of the word "Kilimanjaro" on my reservation.

My reservation says "Standard Room-Club Level." I received an email from the IPO with detailed info about the Kilimanjaro Club including hours of service, what they serve, check in procedures, etc. So don't worry!

after 18 years together, DH and I are going to celebrate!!! I cant wait :cheer2:

Sorry, just bumping up my questions again!

Hi everyone

I hope someone can give me their thoughts on post!!!

We are due to arrive at AKL on Nov 15th but our flight from the UK is quite a late one and we probably won't arrive for check in until around 7pm-8pm (depending on how quickly we get off the plane, get our bags and find our transfer man!!!).

We have booked a standard view room.

We stayed in July in Savannah Rooms and thought they were amazing. However, we decided not to book them this time as we don't expect we will see any other 'varieties' of animals (we could be wrong though!) and we are a bit budget restricted (although not that much!).

Can I just say that we are SO happy to be going back - we don't care what room we get and where it is, we are just so so happy to be going again - we really are!

However, on this trip, we expect to spend a little more time in the room than perhaps you would normally. I'm nearly 16 weeks pregnant and so will want regular naps / breaks, and my Mum loves her naps too!

Because we are checking in so late, what are the chances that we will get a really really bad room? You know I mean bad in the nicest possible way though don't you!!! We were thinking about paying for an upgrade on arrival if they have rooms available but will there be any available at that time of the night?

We have decided against requesting a specific location on the reservation - as I agree with a PP, I'm not sure they ever pay attention to them!

If we were feeling cheeky & brave, what would be the best way to ask for a 'free' upgrade?

Thanks for the help!!!

Julie xxx

Wow, it took a long time to read this thread!

I just switched my reservation for early January over to AKL. I still have a few questions:

I have two rooms reserved, one is for a mother and son. I requested that my room connects with theirs, too. Should I be worried about them not getting a room with two beds? (I'm happy with either a king or two beds in my room.)

How long is the story time at the fire pit? Is this something that two adults and a 12 year old boy would be interested in? If the story time is still at 7:30when we get there, would we have time to make it to an 8 pm ADR at Jiko?

Is the staffing at bell services usually adequate or should I be prepared to schlep my own bags at check in?

TIA!

I wanted to know is how much is this hotel rates for the Animal Kingdom lodge and we are Florida Resident in the month of January!

thanks for the info! The Animal Kingdom Lodge is only $154.00 what a deal. my mom and I will take it!

Headed back to AKL next week. Question - in the Victoria Falls lounge, are any snacks available to order or just drinks? Any especially good drinks there?

If Eric is working at VF, ask him for one of his margarita's...AKA as "Ericrita"! Yummy! Had one, or 2 or 3 last visit at AKV in Sept!!
