How late does the buses to Downtown Disney ride? Buses to MK, Epcot, MGM and AK ride a hour after closing, right?

DTD runs back to Pop until 2:00am. Buses from theme parks run back until that park is clear of all guests (typically, 90 minutes).

Hi
I am hoping somebody can help me with this question. I started reading all the posts hoping for an answer, but gave up at page 45 lol, so here go's

Can you please tell me if each building has smoking and non smoking rooms or is each buiding all smoking or all non smoking, if you know what I mean.

There are a few non-smoking buildings... the buildings that do have smoking optional rooms, the rooms are in 12 room blocks.

So Tyler,

Even though you're wearing the purples again I assume you keep in touch with the CMs at Pop. At least I hope so or this will be a pointless question...

What have you heard that Pop has planned for the holiday season? Will they being X-mas music in each section representing songs from their respective decade? Other stuff and doings?

Have you heard of anything?

I'm assuming it will be the same as last year -- Main lobby and exterior will be decorated, and christmas music will be interweaved with the regular lobby mix. Selections will include timeless traditional classics like, "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer" and "All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth"

LOL

Don't worry, there will be real classics in there, too... lol

Strangely enough, that was never on our room maps... we could only find out that info through the room rack. (computer)

Ok, I have a question. My sister is desperately trying to figure a way to come join us at WDW for one or two nights during our stay. We will be staying at PC. Is there any way she could stay in our room for one or two nights? Could we pay extra, or should we just not say anything. Any ideas??

how many people in your room?

If it is over 4, it isn't going to work. Otherwise, she should be able to join you.

It would be over 4 with my kids (8 and 6). Is there not any way we could squeeze in?

How about if she got a room off site and came over. Could she ride the bus with us into the park? Would they check her id?

If she makes 5 people, then it would be a very tight squeeze in a POP room. Could you get her a room at the POP with a code? Might be less than off site - then she'd need a car and so much time wasted getting back and forth.

Some people have mentioned using an air bed in a POP room.

What if you changed resorts and stayed at POR AB with a trundle?

Could one of the munchkins sleep on the floor for a couple of nights?
:wave2:

260 sqft is not a lot of room at all. If your kids are very small then you may be able to pull it off, but it is definately not "sanctioned".

I have NEVER had any of the transportation folks check my ID to get on a bus. Rather than rent a car, she could take the early hotel shuttle, meet you at a park (or wherever you are that day) use transportation, stay with you, go back to the resort etc, then take a cab back.

Offsite option Hampton Inn Maingate was very reasonable for us.

What I would do is get her a room at the Pop, hopefully using a code, but even if there isn't one, the front desk manager can make a great deal if you let him/her have the option. Once at the Pop, the kids, of course, will want to room with the Auntie, freeing you up to a room of your own :)

Hello,
I will be at POP in 10 days. my son loves the arcade and we have only stayed CR, how is the arcade at POP??
thanks Brooke1

My son loved the arcade. I think it's a good one. Of course, I can't compare because I haven't been to the arcade at CR. As a matter of fact...I would want to do other things and all he could do was ask p l e a s e.....can we go NOW to the arcade?????

It was fun though. Good times :)

I know it would it would be crowded, but that wouldn't bother us. Yes, a child or two would be glad to sleep on the floor to have auntie with us! We'll see.

How would I go about requesting that they give us a "deal" if we tried to get her a room at the Pop? Would I wait until we are there or call now?

As far I know Disney does not give "deals"...if there is a discount code available for the time you are traveling then you could use that when making a room reservation for her. Do NOT wait until you arrive or there could be no rooms at all!

Would be a good idea to call and book a room for her now -even at the $77 a night it's not bad. As long as you cancel the reservation 5 days prior (actually it's 6) you'll get a full refend of the deposit. Or you could have the depoist transferred to your room and owe the balance when you arrive- Unless you have a pre-paid package.

If you think you'll want 2 rooms definitely make the reservation asap. Request connecting rooms - no guarentee, but they do try.

Good luck!!! Have fun!

It is true, PC sells out frequently, but it is also true the manager can give discounts for extending the stay etc. It may work to get the extra room for a few days as well. If you have a reservation elsewhere and a price-to-beat.

At Disney they do try hard not to say "No". You never know until you ask. I have been on the receiving end of a number of deals simply because I asked nicely and gave them an opportunity.

Do you think it is because you bring groups? And do you ask ahead of time or contact the manager once you arrive?

This is the first I've heard of this and I am glad to read that it does happen. What I've read, even during the hurricanes, was that a discount might be offered only if it was found in the system. I had wondered about this because at first I thought Disney was doing a good deed in helping people effected by the Hurricanes, but rooms were not automatically discounted.

I've rarely had a negative Disney experience. Would never have even thought to ask for a discount in a room for extra nights!! It's good to know if one would like to extend. Do you call the manager or go to the front desk? Of course, I don't think you would recommend arriving and then expecting a discounted 2nd room, right?

Thanks for the info!!
Christine :D
