Room Keys

Hi there I read somewhere that, if you ask, at the end of your stay can you get room keys with your kids name on them, not just the person who booked the ressis, is this true?

The only name that can be printed on the room keys themselves would be the primary name on the reservation.

Does no-one know how deep the pools are?
I now have dual voltage hair straightners and i'm led to believe that the viewcam is also dual voltage. Do I have to buy anything, are the sockets the same as Spain etc? Sorry if that's a really stupid Q. We haven't bought our Universal tickets yet, where is the best place to buy them when we get there?

My daughter wondered if she can get Barr's Irn Bru, lol

Thanks

Just noticed that the countdown's have gone, what's happened???

3-5ft, give or take.

Our sockets are standard US 110A/C sockets. I doubt they are the same as in Spain.

Universal would be my recommendation.

They are working on the boards. They will be back within 48hrs.

Hi,

Thanks for such a speedy response. Will I need to buy an adaptor type thingy for the plug, what type of pins on the plug etc. I'm sorry to be so thick, have never been to America before and if it weren't for this thread i'd be in deep doo doo

Thanks again

kazza25 your not thick at all. Many of us would have the same questions if we were visiting across the pond as well. ;) The folks on the UK board are great and could answer the travel questions for you. I know there are special tickets that are available outside the US so they can also help with that. Happy planning! http://www.disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?forumid=60

kazza25,

All electric outlets are standard in the US & Canada. I am sure that there are electronic stores(video cams, laptops..etc) close by to you that sell the adapters. In USA we can buy European adapters relatively cheap (under $10)...but hard to find.

However I am sure the UK boards can help you out much better. Or perhaps you have a friend, who visited USA, whom already has a adapter.

We are just back from Pop Century and Saratoga Springs. Our first 3 days were at Pop Century. I asked, Tyler, if you were working at the time of check in and they said you had just left. Sorry to have missed meeting you. Our children, 3 and 5 loved Pop Century. We stayed in the 50's building (bowling pin) on the parking lot side. Loved it. Quiet at night for the kids to sleep. Never had a problem with the AC at night or hearing people on either side of us. Loved the bowling pin and hippy dippy pools. Thought the room was very comfortable for it's size. Other than the fact that Saratoga Springs had a water slide our kids probably would have said they liked Pop Century better. Just fun. Would highly recommend it. Especially at the $60 per night AP rate!!!!! How can you beat that.

We are finally making a trip back after our 2003 December Honeymoon. I have some questions...

1 Is it going to be crowded?

2 When can I start to book online?

3 What building should I request if I want to be near the busses or near the food court??

4 Is it true that both It's a Small World and Blizzard Beach will be closed for rennovations?

5 Does Cinderella's Castle have good food/good price?? I am debating going there cause we don't have kiddos with us and I didn't know if it was a wonderful experience or not for big kids!
:teeth:

Thank you for your help ahead of time! I'm sure I'll be posting more from now till January!!!:wave2:

I see in earlier posts that the 70's will be my best bet for a room around the busses !!!!! Opps.

We will be staying in 2 rooms at POP in Sept. My sisters soon to be inlaws will be staying in a condo off site. I had just assumed they could come to the resort and park their vehicle the day of the wedding and spend the day with us. After ceremony (off site)we are doing dinner and illuminations cruise.

Are the rules at the POP the same as the other resorts. 3 hour max for visitors?

we booked preferred and want to stay in a room that faces the pool, close to the Main building so I am trying to figure out what room number to request...

If you look at the Hippy Dippy pool from the main building, I want to be on the building on the left which I believe is building 5.
I want to be on the 3rd or 4th floor. I know that the numbers 0001-0012 and 0061 -0072 are all pool facing. Which of the numbers is closest to the end that is closest to the main building (the shortest walk from the room to the main building)?

Thanks!!

My DH and I went to Pop Century for our Honeymoon Dec 03-Jan04. Are the refillable mugs still the same? Can I take our old one to use on our next trip? We would love to be able to save some money on that!! :p ::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo

i've always read/heard that it's not best to request a specific room number because the chances that it will be available on the day you check in are slim... but rather, list your criteria for a room in order of importance and give that information when you make your reservation, double checking when you call to confirm and triple checking by sending a fax a few days from check-in date...

I totally agree. I'm not really looking for a specific room but which room numbers are closest to the main building. The building is shaped like a T and I want to be at the top of the T on the right hand side facing the pool. So I am trying to figure out which room numbers are on that part... I hope that makes sense...

We were in 4402 and that was farthest from the main building, facing the Hippy Dippy Pool. We LOVED the location, but I think you want the higher #'s to be closer to the food court. :)

Tyler do you know if the lifeguards or arcade have a scavenger hunt like the All Stars do? My kids have done these a couple of times and it's a fun way to pass an afternoon. Usually we got them from the lifeguards when they had to close the pool for lightning. Thanks!

Hi Tyler,

I have a question regarding connecting rooms:). Last spring when we stayed at ASM, we were able to request a King and Double connecting rooms. Is this possible at POP? I wasn't sure if all resorts had king connecting rooms. It really worked out wonderfully since it gave dh and I more room in our room. TIA
