Hi - I have just returned from a great stay at Pop Century. This is a great resort and would definitely stay here again.

My questions/problems is - my daughter played in the arcade and was able to have enough points to get a cute little blue glitter - lightup frame - However, her luggage was lost on the way home. It made its way to Puerto Rico instead of Minneapolis. It took several detours and finally arrived. However, the picture frame was ruined. She is heartbroken - is there anyway to purchase a new one? Is there someone at the resort I should speak to inorder to see what I can do? thanks for any help.

Call 407-938-4000 and explain the situation. Hopefully they can connect you with someone in the arcade who can help you out. :)

Irisheyes,

I would be happy to pick one of those frames up on my visit in august if you are unable to get anywhere with the resort. Just let me know what games to play and I will do it. Would be my pleasure to make a child happy.

We just returned from a WONDERFUL stay at Pop Century - and I got to meet Tyler!!!! He is so nice!!

We split our stay between Pop and Wilderness Lodge, and we had a great time at both!! Check in was a breeze, and we got room 5312 in the 60s bldg. Great location - room overlooked the kiddy pool. It is at the end of the hall - and very quiet!!! We never heard our neighbors, or any noise from the pools!

Bus transportation was pretty good - we had a long wait once after we had just missed a bus!

Again, we had a great time at Pop Century, and I would definitely stay there again!

Thanks Tyler for the phone number - I'll give it a try.

And, thank you to Milemrkr63 - I will try the number Tyler gave me but if it doesn't work, I may be contacting you. It is very nice of you to make that offer!!! Disney fans really are the greatest! Enjoy your trip! And, thanks again!! Irisheyes

I was wondering if there is any wheelchairs to use at POP Century? or to rent?

Pop Century does have a limited supply of wheelchairs that one can borrow for the length of stay. They are free, but they are also on a first come first serve basis -- one cannot reserve one or have it set aside.

We are arriving early around 11 am. Our rooms won't be ready, is there somewhere to store our milk and yogart we bought at grocery store? then we can pick up when our room is ready/

thanks for the info!! I greatly appreciate it!!

Do you know if there is list for the Hidden Mickey's for Pop Century? Would the front desk have one? I thought would be great for the first day of we arrive.

How much is the Surrey Bike to rent? How many does it hold? My kids are really thrilled when they saw this on your pictures!

I loved your pictures!! My kids are getting really excited for November to come around.

thanks for the info and it is really nice of you to take time out to do this thread!! I greatly appreciate it!!:)

There is a chance that your room may be ready. However, we have a guest fridge in our Luggage room. You may store your things there. :)

I don't know of a Hidden Mickey list. As for Surrey Bikes, they're available in 2 and 4 seaters, and they're around $18-25 per half hour, I *think*.

I just got back from 2 seperate stays at PC last week (seperated by a trip to Vero beach) and I really enjoyed the resort. We were in 2 connecting rooms in the 90s building for our first three nights and then 2 connecting rooms overlooking the center court in the 70s building for our 2nd three nights. The resort is really fun and nice to walk around and look at the icons and all the 'catch-phrases' from the decades. Brought back a few memories. They were playing disco music in the 70s section one morning and my 2 1/2 year old daughter started dancing in what looked to be a dance floor there in the center close to the foos-ball table. Great place to stay. Thanks to all (and especially Tyler) for the tips, this thread was very helpful.

OK have just switched from WL to POP ( I let my mom pick and this is what she choose - go figure ) anyway we are here for just one night and I am going to request 60's (i know prefered building) ground level on the pool side .. anything else you think i should know ? I didn't read all 105 pages but saw the first and last 5 .. OHHH i know what else .. what is the address -- I was trying to use Yahoo maps from BCV to POP and it came up as no such address and then sent me 25 mins to someplace ? that isn't right is it ???? Thanks Michelle

Just to let you know, there are only 24 rooms that meet your request. Out of that, 12 are non-smoking, and out of that, 2 are kings, which really leaves just 10 rooms. The chances of one of those rooms being available for your stay isnt great. Be prepared to get a higher floor.

To get to Pop from Beach Club:
Take a right out of the Beach Club. At the light take a left. Next light, take a right.

Tyler , Thanks I have written down those directions and I know request are just that - Wow Really only that many between both 60's buildings Oh well we will be happy anyplace really!! after all its vacation in Disney! I must now print the menus.. Thanks again Michelle

OH one more ?? if we have arcade tickets left from a trip in Nov 2002 (from the Movies ) can we use them with tickets from Pop for Prizes ?? Thanks again Michelle

To anyone who has stayed or works there:
Does the Pop Century offer the hair beading, okay I can't remember the official name for it, in the resort like the All-stars did
a few years ago and does anybody recall how much it is? Thanks ya'll know my DD6 would love to have hers done!

I think so - either close to the main pool or the bike rentals - the cost (I think - don't really remember) is $15 - plus $2.50 an inch????

Hey Tyler, me again. :wave2:

Here's a question that I read a few months ago but I cannot remember what the answer was:

I have Ultimate Park Hopper added on to my stay. On my last day my plane leaves at noon so I'll have no time to go to the parks. I'll just be at Pop for breakfast and waiting for the Mears shuttle.

As I understand, the UPH is good 'til midnight the day I leave. The question is, if I technically paid for the last day but won't have time to use it, can I get a refund for that day?

Patiently waiting for December.
