So we can call and make a room request? What's the direct dial # to Pop?

OK, another question. I've seen the map. But it ahs like 70's bldg A & B, etc. But most times it seems like the Buildings are referred to by #. Is there a way to cross reference these? Also, is there something that shows the room # layout? Like "odd # rooms in the 60's overlook the pool" or "room #'s increase from right to left of the builing".

Thanks.

The first digit of the room = building number. If you look at the map, it'll say 6101-6472 and 0101-0472 are the 70's. They are buildings 6 and 10.

Second digit is floor number.

Third and fourth represent room number.

If you're looking at the building front, and looking at the main icon, the rooms to the right will start off 01-12. Backside on that wing will be 13-24. The right T side will be 25-36, and the left T side will continue as 37 at the end, to 48 at the cross section. The left backside continues as 49-60. The front then goes from 61-72 at the main icon.

What section is the Roger Rabbit Icon In? For Some reason I can't rember when that movie came out.

Thanks for the info. I guess I will se if we can get the 80's building. I'll ask when we arrive we are going September 11th to 18th. Does anyone know where I can find a map.

Hey Tyler, me again. :wave2:

I've got a room booked for the 60s building for December 2nd - 7th. I chose the preferred section because I felt that after a long day at a park or Downtown Disney that my feet would be to tired. I'm thinking of switching to 70s section because the map you provided shows them not much farther than if I was at the 60s. BTW, I was born in 1970.

What are the chances that when I arrive I can get a room in the 70s instead? Being early December and not late. Requesting the room change at check-in.

Also, can I call Pop and ask for a map of PC, a transportation map, and maybe some park maps be mailed out? I'd like to look at some official maps (not online) to help with some planning.

Thanks Tyler!!!

Only seven more pages and we've reached the 100 page mark. That'll be 1500 posts!

I just returned from POP.........it was great. We were in the 70's building room 450 & 451. We were right next door to Cinema Hall. It was really close to parking, buses & I loved the location. Our rooms faced the parking lot.

Also, about room noise......we were very happy. We heard the occassional person walking to their room. But, I didn't hear anything from the room next door. I heard some one knocking on their room once, but it was time for me to get up! The totilets are so loud anyway.........I am sure you can hear those at night. They would wake the dead they are so loud!!

We stayed from May 31 - June 5!!!! Had a wonderful time and would stay there again.

Hope

COLD

When we arrived it was set on 71.5 degrees and blowing cold air. It felt really good after a long hot day 103 degrees. But in the mornings it was so cold. We could move the temp to about 72.5, but it was still cold.

There is no on/off switch. It blows air down on the table all the time. We couldn't sit at the table to eat breakfast because the air was blowing. My kids froze. But, it really did feel good after you got back from the parks.

Hope that helps.

That's a great help, thanx. Could you not turn it off at all? Do you think every room would be the same or maybe that the one in your room was faulty. I know, some ppl are very hard to please, sorry for bein a pest. lol

We had two rooms 450 & 451 and they both worked the same way. I am not really picky. I am used to air conditioning......I live in Alabama and the humidity is terrible here!

Thanx again, I know it sounds as tho i'm bein really fussy but when i'm in Spain and leave the air-con on , i'm freezing in the morning and end up with a cold. Can't have it all ways I suppose, lol

My dd's froze in the AM! It was hard to get them out of bed. They ate breakfast with blankets over them. Once I got moving I was okay as long as I stayed away from the table area!! :)

Your DD's, lmao. I like that one. Probably just get dressed outside then. It'll be much warmer, lol

Im from Alabama also! I was worrying about the air conditioning having heard the rooms didnt get cold enough. Im glad to hear your version, which eases my mind. I'm use to the humidity, but I like a cold, dry room.
