Tyler, I can't remember if you told us what kind/type of camera you took all those beautiful pictures of Pop Century with. I'm sure it must have been digital, but what kind of zoom (optical, digital) did it have? I would love to have some pictures turn out as well as yours, but I'm not really handy with a camera. It will be a learning experience for us.
It was actually an older model handmedown camera, no optical zoom (I cant remember if I used the digital zoom, but I dont think I did), and I think I even had the wrong focus/macro settings on for half the pictures. LOL
The camera itself is an older Sony Cybershot 2.0 megapixel camera. It's a decent camera, although it has a few quirks that irk me.
I used to have a Kodak 1.0 megapixel camera (bought it in '99), and it was very user friendly, worked exactly how I wanted it to, but picture quality was lacking. Battery life was decent, off of 4 AA Rayovac Renewals. The best part about this camera is that it had no delay. You pushed the button, it took the picture.
Most newer digital cameras I've used have a delay... you push the button, it thinks, and THEN it takes the picture, about a half second later. Not a problem if its a still shot, but CRUCIAL if it's an action shot.
The Sony has great picture quality, is fairly user friendly, but doesn't always work the way I like. The flash is cumbersom, and a pain to use. This camera doesn't have as much of a delay as some other cameras that I've used, which is good. It came with an 'InfoLithium' battery, which has an extended life, and performs well. It can take 2 AA batteries as well, but they will last for 5 pictures, less if you use a flash. The InfoLithium battery will last for 75+ minutes of continuous ON photo session.
