I just booked one night at Pop Century for the front end of my trip!!Yay!!!! Now, I've been reading and trying to find this out. Which building is the one with Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head? Is it the 50's bldg or the 60's bldg?

thanks!

It's located between the 70's and 80's buildings.

Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I asked for the 70's bldg. when I made my ressie, but told them I would sleep anywhere, as long as the room had two beds! LOL!!!

Thanks for that information, Tyler! I'm sooooo excited and plan on taking lots of pictures! This will be our first stop on our sojourn to Disney World, and I can't wait!

Only a few days left to go, we are all very excited. Of course,we were planning on leaving Thursday early afternoon, but DH has a meeting in Miami(1-11/2 hours the wrong way)so we won't be leaving until early evening. It's about a 2 1/2 hour drive,so still hoping we make a late dinner at the Pop!

Let me preface this with I apologize if this question has already been answered in the last 90 pages, but I'm too lazy to go look!;)

Does PC sell lunch meat, cheese and bread that we could buy and take back to our rooms and make sandwiches once in awhile during our stay? I can only fast food it so much for lunch! TIA and I can't believe our time to arrive is fastly appoaching!!!

I don't think so.

Hey Tyler! :wave2:

I'm just curious, what's the status of The Vintage Years? I thought I read somewhere a few months ago it was put on hold.

Also, what's the chances that the Menu that's on AllEars be the same in December? I'm looking forward to a Sloppy Joe.

Thanks!!!

I asked when I was there about opening the rest of the resort and I got told when WDW is certain the economy has improved enough that they will be able to rent them. So as long as they are given discounts - may not????

So it might be next year - for Easter or if we are luck this year for Christmas.

I tipped the guy who helped with my luggage.....you mean I wasn't surpose too????

When is WDW going to fix that traffic light - Spicey (okay I am strange I take my cat with me) was at FW - so being able to turn left into the resort is a must for me - and it was very, very difficult - I often sat at the traffic lights through it changing completely through twice before this light turn - this became very irriating.....I know you can't do anything about this - but have you heard if WDW is considering changing this problem?

Sorry I miss you - I arrive at 5:00am (okay I tried to arrive then) and I left at 8:30pm - so I missed you both times....

There is no current word on the status of the Legendary Years.

Tipping of Luggage Assistance is neither expected, nor neccessary, as it is a non-tipped position. However, if the guest wishes, they may accept a tip.

LOL, you don't even want to get me started on that pesky light. LOL. Some days it is fine. Other days, it's a little slow on recognizing waiting traffic. It seems to always act fine when they check on it... hmm... lol

Oops!!! Sorry about that. I meant The Legendary Years.

Goes to show how good my memory is. If I'm lucky, I'll remember to go to the airport in December.

When legendary years gets done, the two put together will be a huge resort!

I look forward to it. More Value rooms mean lower prices for everyone :) Although I wonder if 1900-1940 will have the same draw as the 50's-90's. IT will be a challenge, but I'm sure Disney will do fine.

Tyler, at 90+ pages it may be time to summarize, close and start an "even newer all new pop century far out faq thread." ;)

I was wondering if the thermostat situation is under control yet? The reason I ask is because we're used to 62 degrees max to sleep in and I worry that my dd won't be able to sleep or breathe well if it's too hot in the room. Thanks so much for any help in this!
We are so looking forward to seeing WDW at Christmas time if only time would go by quicker!!:Pinkbounc :bounce:

We will be leaving for the Pop in a few hours,so I will know all the answers!Hope those thermostats are working because this week is really HOT here in South Florida and Orlando is worse!I am worried about the thunderstorms, hope we will only get the passing ones and not an all day or night event. We will only be there until Sunday.
Really excited to hit the road as soon as my DH gets home and will let everyone know what we think when we return.

Lots of ppl have been talking about the temp in the rooms at PC. My aunt will struggle to sleep thru the temp mentioned so will we be allowed to buy a fan and use it in the room?

Thanx

We used a small fan last year in our room at the All-Star Sports Resort. We have a hard time sleeping without the droning sound from the fan because we sleep with one throughout the year. Nothing was ever said and we never heard any noises either. I would think that the same would apply to Pop.

:earsgirl:

Thank you, looks like we'll buy when we get there then, lol

I'm so excited now, gettin closer!!

Oops, sorry....this has posted twice by accident and i've not been able to delete it.

By all means if you need to have fans, bring along it's okay with us! Any other questions feel free to ask. pirate:
