Were goin to be there in about 20 days now and i was wondering what everyone would recommend as a good room thats quiet and closest to the bus stop. I would like to stay in the 70's or 50's building... would the top floor be the quietest part of each building?? Also a non connecting room would probably be quieter too??

Higher rooms are generally quieter. Non-Connecting rooms will be on the far side of the wings, whereas the connecting rooms will be the side closest to the center of the building.

So would it be a good chance to get a non connecting room on the top floor when checking in... or should i call ahead of time??

I was told at check in that my 2 week+ notice wasn't far enough ahead to get the room or building I had requested i(n a slow period...).I think I would request it, make sure they note it on my ressie ( the girl acted like there was not a request noted but she was pretty studiously unhelpful about it so I don't know if there really was or not)and call a month out, make sure it is still there, 2 weeks out and the week before if you really want something

So hi all, I'm glad to hear that so many people love PoP Century, just so you know if you're looking for Hidden Mickeys a great one is directly behind Baloo on the 60's buildings, it's really dark though so you'll have to really look. I just came on here to read a few posts see what was up. And above all thank Tyler for doing such a great job with the information on here. Because of CM like him and guests like you there is a great new way to help make WDW a better place not only by hearing what you all think but by being able to assist guests even before arrival with any questions that you might have. ANyways like I said I'd like to give Tyler a much deserved *High Five* for all his effort and dedication to making our little corner of the WDW Resort Property a little more comfy! THANKS TYLER

Welcome to the DIS!! I second the high five to Tyler!!! He has done such a wonderful job. Keep reading the posts for the Pop and you will see that because of his wonderful posts on this board many of us have changed our ressies to the Pop. We were to orginially stay only one night there and the remaining days at WL, but because of Tyler, we are now staying all week!! Can't say enough good things about the info he has given us. I hope that all of the CM's at Pop are just as informative, polite and all around as helpful as he has been here!!!

Girlsx2, do you have your lime green ribbon ready? I need to put mine on my stroller, fanny pack, and backpack. I caught my cat chewing on the ribbon yesterday.

We're excited to be going to Pop for a week, also! I wouldn't have known about the place if I hadn't read these boards and saw the postings from Tyler. Tyler, show this to your boss and they'll give you a raise! Or at the very least a pat on the back and you have the knowledge of a job well done.

This is my plea to the weather gods...please no icy weather tomorrow when I'm trying to get to the airport!!!!

Those of you who have been to PC, do they do hairwraps on the property?? I know last time (2000) we had it done at Blizzard Beach.
Also do you know if they do hairbraiding anywhere other than when you go on the cruises?? My daughter would love that!!

That's funny that you really have 3 girls as opposed to the two that your name indicates because when I first typed your name in my last post I put girlsx3. I have a "x4" in my e-mail address since I have 4 children and I've put "x5" when typing before and gone into a panic. lol That I don't need!!!

I'll be there with my 4yo son and my sister is meeting us down there. My son has brown hair and eyes and will either have a big smile on his face and a glint in his eyes or he will be screaming. It's usually one of two extremes with this child... I need to go tie my green ribbon on my things!

And as for your question Erikasmom I'm not sure about the hair wraps and braiding but when I go back to PoP next I'll try and find out. I know that we have temporary tattoos, but I'm not sure about the rest. Anywho hopefully I'll see you all later, buh bye!

At the Beach Club they have a Hair Salon, that does braiding you could try going without an appointment, but there was a long wait so if you want the brading done I would call and make an appointment first. It was also expensive.

I know I saw either hair wraps or braiding being done indiscovery island in Ak. in front of a very colorful shop there was a cart on the right side of the street with prebraided pieces but I also noticed a young girl getting it done...maybe the creature comforts or island merchantile shop ( sorry forget the exact details as just saw it while walking by)

I saw a girl getting it done by the pool( think it was a wrap) , close to exit from the food court at PC, to the right facing PC by the umbrellas and tables there...maybe by the bar?
