The All New Pop Century FAR OUT FAQ Thread!

We were at Pop a week ago and we had rooms in the 50's A Building rooms 1106/1107. We could see the bowling pin pool from our doorway and the distance to the parking lot and the main building were about the same. We really liked being on ground level and having some landscaping and such to look at. Much nicer than looking out over the parking lot and it's really not that far to walk. JMHO though...

Does anyone know what the official check in time is for Pop? I have seen 3:00 and 4:00 on all different web sites and tour books.

Check In is officially at 3:00pm. You are welcome to check in earlier, however, your room may not be available. But, it might be!

If your room is not available, we can hold onto your luggage until it becomes available, and have it automatically delivered to the room within an hour of it becoming available.

Has the parking problems/issues been resolved at Pop Century? And, if we would like a quiet area (is that possible) nearer to the parking area that is not packed, what area should we try for? Being close to the food court is not important to us and walking is not an issue either. Just would like to be near one of the pools but in a quieter building near parking....is there such a place?

I would recommend building 7 if you want to be in a quiet area near the parking, and near a quiet pool. It's in the 1980s, and right next to a parking lot that usually has plenty of open spaces. Building 8 is also a good choice, as long as you park in the 80's parking area (the side opposite the food court)

Thanks Tyler, I'll write that down and try to remember when we check on on April 29th.

Hi Tyler!

Thanks for all the great info. We leave for Pop Century in just 8 more sleeps!! Speaking of sleep, we'll be need a packnplay crib for our DS7mos. We check in at about 3:00 pm. What are the chances that there will be one available for us when we arrive. I didn't request one when we made our reservations through a TA. Should we bring our own just to be on the safe side? We have already requested a fridge for breastmilk/formula when we booked and my understanding is that you can only be assured of your first request and not all of them. What has your experience been? Thanks for all your hard work. Hope Disney knows how helpful you have been to all of us!!

:love2: :goodvibes

but can't find it and it doesn't come up in search and it's not listed at all ears.net menues.........but Im looking for the breakfast menu at POP. Can someone help me?

I'd recommend calling up, and putting the notation on the reservation now... and then reminding at check-in.

Just a suggestion, if you're not connecting with the room next door, the Pack 'n Play fits perfectly where the door would be, in between the TV console, and the bathroom area. It also fits between the bed and the bathroom area.

Tyler,

We have our ressies from May 19th-May 30th staying at the 70's building with 2 connecting rooms-one standard and one king size. I just have a couple of questions:

1. We were able to get the room rates with the visa but we also have the ap and have found that some of the dates are available with that rate but not all the dates. We were told that we would have to make 2 additional ressies and may have to change rooms. Can we request to keep the same room if we are in the standard rooms? We use the "keys" to make additional charges to our room and there will be six of us. We don't want to spend our time checking in and out. Please let me know what you think.

2. For our rooms in the 70's building, we are looking at 1st or 2nd floor and close to the end near classic hall. About what room number or building number would that be? Looking at the map, B building is what it looks like but I don't know how the numbers run. Again, please let me know.

We cannot wait! We have had snow, cold winds and rain! The highest was 50's but with the wind blowing!

See you real soon!!!

wow, i would like to own one of those cars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!disneykid

1- You should be able to keep the same rooms, BUT I cannot guarantee that. I'd recommend making sure to have the CM's notate it in the comments, and to remind them at check in. It should be fine, but like I said, I cannot guarantee it.

2- The 70's are buildings 6 and 10... Room numbers 0XZZ and 6XZZ, where X is floor, and ZZ is room number.

All king bed rooms connect with standard doubles. They have a limited amount in the preferred section.

Diamond- Girls-I was on the 4th floor of Bldg.4(1960s) facing Hourglass Lake.I could see about half of Spaceship Earth and had a great view of the fireworks. It really made me feel like I was right in the middle of everything.I also understand there are some great views in Bldg.2(1950s).:D

Just a cool note...

Today there was a special thing going on, (video promo shoot) and Goofy was swimming with guests in the Hippy Dippy pool, while Mickey and Minnie danced to the live band playing Jimmy Buffett music.

This is so cool! I can't wait to stay here! Thanks so much for this info--you did a great job! :)

Tyler, do you think you could add the link to the resort map and one to your terrific video to your opening page?
