Just want to come and celebrate my 4 month mark tomorrow:banana: 120 days to go!!

I'm still trying to decide if I want to waste 90 precious minutes at the Pirate League with my DS. I feel like we could get so much done in that time.

We found what saves our family some time is to have the family check in to Tusker House while someone in our family runs over to Expedition Everest and gets the Fast Passes then. They then meet up with us back at Tusker House. Then, usually by the time you are done with breakfast, you can head right over and use your fast passes without having to wait. This has worked really well for our family in the past and shaves some time off of your tour so that you can have time to do something else.

Can we get fastpasses before the park opens :confused3? If not, I could have someone waiting by the fastpass machine so that when the park opens we'd be the first in line for the fastpasses.

Thanks for the tip!

Love reading these plans for AK! It is the one park we rarely spend a full day visit so there are still things we have yet to see or do. Plus it is always the hottest park and I expect mores in June! We always plan downtime for the kids to play in the huge playground there...climbing and sliding! Just last night we were watching video from our Dec 2009 trip where I filmed the Nemo show...love that show! We have yet to see the Lion King show there so it may have to be on our must do list this time, even if it means missing Nemo. We are trying Tucker House for the first time too..love the idea of sending family off to the restaurant and a Fastpass runner to EE because DS 6 is very much looking forward to his first ride on that.

Hey, where's the playground located? Are you referring to the Boneyard or is there another?

I have so much left to learn...

Thanks!

Having a Disney fun family night...watching Beauty and the Beast with the kids and having Mickey shaped chicken nuggets for dinner. Makes me get into the Disney mood. The last couple of weeks have been so long. I just keeping wishing that February would just be over already.

Yay for the 4 month mark! :cheer2: How exciting! We have six more days until that happens for us.

Our son really wants to try out the Pirates League too, but I feel the same way. I don't want to take away from our touring plans especially since we are going for less time this summer. I think it would be fun for him, but will it be worth it for all of the family? I don't know either.

After going back and forth on my dates (teacher who used snow days) I finally booked our plane tickets tonight....and had to push our trip back 1 day. So we'll only be there 6 days instead of 7!

Staying at CSR from June 2-8. I can't wait!!

:wave2:

We have finalized our dates and will be at The Polynesian from June 7 - 15. I booked our trip during Star Wars Weekends for my husband. We're bringing our daughters (6 and 1 1/2), and after 11 years of marriage, this will be our first family trip anywhere without parents, siblings, cousins, etc. We can't wait!

Hellow fellow teacher! Welcome to our group. :welcome:I was so glad we didn't get that many snow days this year so that we didn't have to change our trip at all!

Welcome to our group! :welcome:I added you to our list on page one. It's exciting to take a trip with just you and the kids after going with relatives. We are going with our relatives again this year. It just makes it easier to handle our little one. My husband was so upset that we couldn't go during Stars Wars weekend. He is a huge fan. Maybe one day we can swing it.

It's not that the time would be "wasted". I'd be with my boys, after all. I just know that June is super crowded and we will be unlikely to see all that we want to see as it is. Maybe I can redirect him :thumbsup2

I know exactly what you mean. I know that he would love it and we would get the experience too, but I also know my LO will be upset that she is not old enough yet to participate and she would want the make up and dress up too. I think we might wait for another year when she can do it too or at least do the princess stuff.

As this trip gets closer I am becoming more and more anxious about everything dealing with Disney from what bag to carry to how to tour the theme parks! I don't know what's come over me.

First, I thought I'd narrowed down the bag I was going to bring until I purchased a Boba carrier as an impulse buy because it was on sale. Well, now i'm wondering if toting a backpack will be such a good idea :confused3. I'm traveling with a large party, but I won't or wasn't planning to share a bag with anybody since none of the other vacationers will be a spouse. My mother is going though so maybe the two of us can share 1 bag, but that might not be feasible because i'll have baby gear along with the other park necessities to carry and all of our stuff may not fit in 1 bag without making it too heavy.

So now, i'm trying to figure out what type of bag I can carry that will still work with a Boba baby carrier. If I carry a backpack, will it be safe to leavy my bag in the stroller while we go on rides and in eateries?

I'm also worried about the popular "to leave the park or not" dilema. My daughter, 2.5 yrs. old, is the youngest member of our travel group. The next to youngest are 8 & 10 and may not need as much downtime as she does. If we don't leave I plan to watch shows, have lunch, and relax, but I'm worried that Aysa will have a major meltdown that will last forever and ruin the time for everybody else. Have any of you mothers traveled with a toddler and not left the parks during the scorching hot summer months?

The last worry that's been invading my mind space is whether the other members of my party will truly understand and "get" Disney. After the comment my aunt made about adults riding "teacups" I am not so sure that this vacation will be as fun for everyone as I know it will be for me. Sure, we could split up and do our own things, but I have a 2.5 yr. old and having never been to Disney befoe, I'm afraid to navigate the world alone without my trusty sidekicks. Wow.

Planning is a big part of the fun, but it's really stressful too.

I am sooo excited!!!! we FINALLY booked our trip today and decided to use the 20% we saved from the late spring discount and apply it towards an extra day!!! we will now be staying jun 5-11 at the all star music resort :cool1: 106 more days!

Just posting to see my ticker...:rotfl:
So stressed recently....our 5 snow days have done a doozie on us. Don't feel like I will ever get my students caught up. Hoping to do more planning soon!

nvsnot - I think you are doing great on all of your planning. You are going to have a great time! Just wait till the Disney magic takes over!!!

I love to see our ticker dates getting smaller and smaller and smaller....:cloud9:
