Does anybody know when the standard RPC rooms were last renovated?

they all have really nice flat screen tv's now. when we stayed up there in a honeymoon room jan. 2007 we had this little bitty box tv haha. now they are so much ncier. oh and RPC guests have DVD players and access to rent disney movies for free from the concierge desk.

so excited, leaving on saturday. would like to know about the crowds & weather right now & also would like to see the resort map, TIA!

Hi there, I hope this is the right place to post this question?

We have some spa treatments booked and were wondering how long would people recommend to stay afterwards (is this ok to do?). We were hoping to spend an hour or so relaxing afterwards in the jacuzzi and sauna depending on when we can get an ADR for the Garden View. Are they likely to ask us to leave quickly?

Thanks in advance for any answers :goodvibes

You're welcome to do exactly what you plan. My DD always enjoys the spa after a treatment. You will not be rushed in any way although of course you need to leave by closing.:goodvibes Have fun!:cool1:

OK, so we just did it!!!We changed to RPC at the Grand Floridian. I'm excited. A little tiny tiny bit sad about the view at Poly, but know that with needing three rooms this might be our only chance to stay in the main building of GF any time soon. We can stay in a LV room at Poly any time, even if it's not CL, and still get the full effect, but to get the full effect from the GF, being able to stay in the main building just seems perfect!!

So it's done:-) I spent all afternoon looking at photos of the GF photos on threads and just know it's going to be GREAT!!

thats so great!! Where did you find photos? There are not many here at all.

can't help you with the resort map, but they give you one when you check in anyway. It's really really hot here. Today it rained basically all afternoon and didn't clear up until the evening and it feels much cooler now, but we'll see how it is tomorrow. The parks seem pretty crowded, more crowded than I remember from last year. Transportation has been great and the resort is not too crowded, although there are always people around in the lobby and whatnot.

Ah, nothing like a live report. I hope you're having a magical vacation! :wizard:

pezaddict took care of your first questions. Here's a resort map from the home of the DIS:http://www.wdwinfo.com/resortmaps/grandflomap.htm

Happy planning!:surfweb:

We're staying in RPC for 5 nights but had to take Sugar Loaf for the last two nights as the RPC was full.

If you were going to make a request for view in Sugar Loaf would you request the courtyard or the marina. Which offers a prettier view?

I enjoyed my marina view! I am guessing that these rooms would be quieter too because you don't get the noise from people walking by or the courtyard pool. I didn't see anyone out on the marina side.

I agree with BCV23 :thumbsup2 Take your time. They definitely will not rush you. It's wonderful over there :cloud9:

I agree. Our one Sugar Loaf stay was on the courtyard side and it was noisy. We were on an upper floor, too. I would request Marina View if I ever stayed SL again.

It's funny, everyone's respose is different. I have stayed 3 times in SL and always ended up with a courtyard view. I didn't find it too noisy and I'm a country girl used to peace and quiet. The one time I had a marina view I thought it was too noisy because I always heard people coming and going to Gasparilla. Early in the morning you could hear delivery trucks too. But all in all, any room at the Grand Floridian is a better alternative than not being on vacation!!!
