The all new extension to Tagliarchy Island.

nooooooooooooo, no SW pounding!

Well, after we got out of the movie we called Amer West (this is about 3 hrs before the time the plane would have taken off) and the flight had just been cancelled! A supervisor put a notation on the file that we have ONE YEAR to re-book a flight without paying the $100 rebooking fee!! (Due to all the different stories we have been told over the past week and all the grief)
:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc
So now all we have to do is keep our eyes open for a great rate for January and we can apply this $200something for each ticket. Thank goodness Oct is SW Air!

So we head off to Disneyland Monday morning and stay for three nights. Now we just have to decide where to have birthday dinner. I want to try a restaurant in DTD, Catal or maybe House of Blues?

Well, I'm off to watch the weather channel......I think I've become addicted!

:wave2: I was thinking about you last week when I was talking to my folks. I might be in your neck of the woods before Christmas to see my folks.

Hi ya NC Belle!

That's great news! How close to my neck will you be? It would be wonderful to meet a fellow TAGLIKIN. :D

I'm not sure yet. My sister is getting married in MA in November so I will see my folks there, but if we go in December it will be just before Christmas. It will depend on $ and the weather. We want to go to the Cove and get some goodies.

Just keep an update coming and tell your sister congrats from me, O.K.? :teeth:

disneyluvers: OK. I don't get to talk to her a lot---she is busy with work, planning, and soon the couple will move into their new home at the end of this month.
By the way, how is your family?

It is still NC Beast, me, and the dog. I bet my sister will have a kid late next year. I want a niece or nephew on my side.
:D

I'll give you the short version.... hahaha... I don't think I have enough space for anything else.

I have joined the PTO at my youngest's (Joseph) school. I'm Asst. Treasurer and I'm hoping that we have a great year! I've also joined the music parents and something they call the Q-site council at my oldest's (Joshua) school. (Can you believe he's in Jr. High now?) I've been busier than - what's that joke - a one legged man in a butt kickin' contest. :teeth:

And of course my hubby is picking up every bit of overtime he can so we can have a really really good time at the World this year. (I keep saying we're going to have to take a year off so that we can save up for a cruise, but we keep finding excuses to go again.) That's us.. the Disneyholics of Central PA! :earseek:

So that's it. Along with getting Joseph the aide he needs and jumping through the school, state, and medical hoops to make this happen has really taken up all of my time lately. I'm finally getting a handle on being organized (at least where the boys and school are concerned ;) ). I've just started to get back to the Dis. Boy oh Boy I didn't realize how much I missed it until I started typing.

 ibounce glad the am west is giving you the rebooking stuff.. have a real good time at the happiest place on earth..

Ok, calm down...the TAGLIARCHY Airhead has struck again ....I meant to say America West, not South West....jeez......but thank goodness America West finally came to their senses, cancelled the flight and is doing right by ibouncetoo ::yes::

If they had been like that to me--well, they would more than 1 "Frances" to worry about;) :p . I could not resist...I am being teased daily by NC Beast about the hurricane.

Good morning guys,
ibouncetoo I hope you have a great time at DL.

Yesterday I went to a family wedding. The groom is only distantly related to me (he is my mums cousins son.) He is a nice guy but I remembered why we don't see a lot of that side of the family a lot!! A lot of them didn't bother to dress nicely (some were wearing sports clothes). The grooms dad is the same age as my mum and is a great grandad (my mum is in her late 50's) The groom and his wife had a baby 9 months ago. This means his dad has a grand child who is younger than his 2 great grand children

I guess I should go now. Our best friend are coming around later for a BBQ so I need to get ready to go food shopping.

 disneyluvers

DHSsenior007 Any luck with the pictures? Perhaps ohanafamily will be able to help you.

Have a great day everyone.

Mornin'

Guess what? I'm sick!! The whole congested thing with a stuffy nose and all of that nice junk!! What really stinks about this is if you miss one day of drill team on a week of performance (which is every week in football season), then you don't get to perform that week!! Agh!!! PD to me please!!! ;) :p

Ugh... I gotta go start to get ready for church when I feel like crud....

Good morning! No time for color.. :(

But I brought Breakfast!!! (Did anyone do that today? If so, here's more!)

Breakfast Lasagna
Strawberries dipped in Godiva
Mickey waffles sprinkled with chocolate chips
7 kinds of coffee

Enjoy!

ibouncetoo - Congrats on Amer West! Have a great time at DL!!!

DHSsenior007 Poor thing...sorry you're sick :( Do you have team practice tomorrow, even though it's a holiday? If not, maybe you'll feel much better by Tuesday. And you might want to skip church to stay in bed and get rid of that nasty cold.....I'm sure you'd be forgiven ;)

Danauk You can't pick your family  and thank goodness the wedding was for your DISTANT cousin. My SIL's family is like that, makes it hard for me to keep them all straight. Luckily, my SIL has risen above all that and is one of the nicest and classiest people I know....just sorry she has to deal with them...puts her in such awkward situations having to explain it....

Danauk, that sounds like an interesting family. One of my co-workers was a bridesmaid at her sister's wedding last year. I didn't go to the wedding, but I saw the photos later. The bridesmaids wore pretty dresses at the ceremony and the groomsmen were all in tuxedoes. Then after the ceremony, the bridesmaids and groomsmen changed into jeans and t-shirts and wore that to the reception! So my co-worker's sister has pictures of her at the reception of her bridesmaids dancing in jeans with very elaborate hairdos. It was really weird. The rest of the guests looked appropriately attired. My co-worker thought it was perfectly normal.

This co-worker just got engaged to her boyfriend last week. She's getting married in November (she'll be 27 in December and she thinks she should have been married with children at 25, hence the short engagement). She's been saying that she'll probably have family and friends bring food for the reception instead of a gift. I don't think that's such a great idea. She wants a simple wedding, and that's fine. But IMO your guests are your guests, not your caterers.

ibouncetoo, have fun in Disneyland! I would really like to go next year when they have the 50th anniversary party. But I don't think we'll be able to go. :(

A few months ago, there was a thread about Tacky Weddings on the Community Board.....it was hilarious and if you can find it, you'll really enjoy it....::yes::

That reminds me of some of my Dad's Alabama cousins and other relatives. Some of his first cousins married at age 13-15 and their children followed suit, and some might have married each other.
