Rumor mills are to be used, and once you understand this concept your life will get easier. It sounded like your friends dissed you, but hey, it happens. Most of them aren't as shallow as hey seem right now...I know you will find the right path. and remember, above all else "To thine Own Self Be True" There is another truth I learned. Your parents will love you o matter what. the may spill your secrets, embarass you to all of your friends, well, humiliation nation is a possible picture... BUT they do love you and will probably come to your aid if you present it in the right way to them... You can also ask us either in PM's, E-Mail's, or posts. Sincee really don't know who you are (and it should stay that way) you can be anonomous here. I will caution you not to give out too much info because we are all potential Axe Murderers, but for the most part we are a pretty tame bunch of kiddfos in adult bodies. One other warning, any post stays for a long time, and can be read by anyone. If it is too personal, and someone figures out your true name...well, it could be a not-so-pretty picture.

My parents seemed happy, and I guess I should be too, but it's not my fairy tale ending for my brother yet.... I still have hope!! Hehe!!

You are right teenage years do suck but they can also be great. I'm sure you'll find someone to go to the dance with. If this guy does find out you like him maybe he will ask you. I learned early in high school during my teenage years not to tell secrets to anyone except one person I knew I could trust and get great advice from (it was actually one of my teachers who I got on with really well with. We stayed in touch after I left school, she came to my wedding and we still email each other to this day - I left high school 10 years ago. She is one of only 2 people from high school that I still keep in contact with.) I hope you have a better day tomorrow and am sure you will have a great time at the dance.
