Which leads me to this question.....kadaten refered to Jiko being at "our" resort. Have the DIVAS moved AGAIN.....or is that still a hoping for an AP rate kind of thing??
B]

Got it!

AND, that's a we-got-a-postcard-and-kept-trying-and-finally-got-a-room rate kind of thing! WOO HOO!!!!!!! :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

(Of course, the bargain hunter in us will keep hoping for even better AP rates!
But it got low enough that we were willing to swing it!
I *think* it's about the same as your rate, $130-something?)

Can I tag along to England, when you all leave me?? :teeth: Always wanted to go. ::yes::

Just saying hi waiting for my friend to get here....:teeth: :wave2:

Hey, ya'll can go to England, just bring me too! Trips are always more fun with a teenager, it keeps you young!! (Not that ya'll are old by any means...!!) Okay... I'll stop digging myself in a deep, deep hole!!

Ohanafamily, thanks for calling me a trooper! I feel special!! Hehehehe... but really is was just a sprinkle and then a light shower. It was nothing compared to last year when I was in band and we went to a Teacher Welcome Back dinner thing at a local park. We were going to play the fight song and "The Horse" and it looked like it would storm, but we went anyways... bad choice... They made the band play in this huge field with no trees around us and here we were swinging huge metal instruments to the music with a thunder storm on the way and all of us getting wet so we couldn't read the music!! We all thought that our band director was out to get rid of us or something.... yeah... crazy, I know!! Oh well!

It sounds like ya'll are going to have a blast on your trip! I'm also sending PD to everyone in Florida and in that region of the country. Hopefully that hurricane won't delay my brother's flight home on Monday.....::yes::

Sure DHSsenior007 and TalkisCheap you can come to England too. The more the merrier.

kadaten, I am sorry, I misunderstood about it being a PI night and thought we were just looking for a place to eat. I was suggesting places we could go with big tables where we could talk for hours. BUT, Drunken Debachery sounds good to me... Several Beautiful women, all wanting to drink and dance!!!, I just hope I will be able to keep up!?!

Here is RRBB's list,
1) Jiko
2) Wolfgang Puck’s Café
3) Portabello Yacht Club
4) Bongos
5) Benihana
6) House of Blues

I will say
1) Portabello Yacht Club
2) Jiko
3) Bongos
4) Wolfgang Puck’s Café
5) Benihana
6) House of Blues

RRBB and I are planning on the next Thursday after most of you have gone) for the MNSSHP, unless someone who is bringing kids wants us to join them...

Maybe Monday We can get together in WS for more food and wine?

We are up for anything, but RRBB will be pretty far along so she can't drink, and needs tobe carefull about overdoing it. So I think we might want to meet up for a "Hangover Meal" on Monday too...What do you think?

:bounce:
ohanafamily Thanks for the rankings! I've got you both down. Waiting on Pixie Magic to weigh in and we'll get a destination nailed down ;)

MNSSHP: I KNOW we won't be going. And remember, the KY girls' families aren't so hip with the internet friends thing, so they won't be meeting anyone at events with their families. So I guess that leaves 39CINDERELLA. Anyone else gonna be there that we haven't covered?

As for more meets, well, remember, we're 3 cuttin' loose momma's! So, I think the breakfast and dinner are gonna be it for planned meets for us, but don't let that stop you from meeting up with other folks. We're gonna get in some good "girlfriend" time, enjoy not having a schedule, and come and go as the whim hits us! (As the DH of a pregnant woman, you should be very familiar with feminine whims! ::yes:: Now, times it by 3! :teeth: ) We'd hate to make more plans and then stand folks up 'cause we remembered something else we wanted to see/do, so it's probably better if we don't nail ourselves down to anything else. We *will* be doing the F&W festival (why else DO people go in October?!?) so I'm sure we'll see you around the lagoon! :)

39CINDERELLA We have room! See you at breakfast!

When do our teens get back from the WL? I've just been reading reports that the huricane is now heading for Orlando. WDW seems a pretty scary place to be right now. I hope they are all safe.

Boy its quiet here today! I'm just catching up with news of the weather in WDW from a Diser who is there. All guests have been asked to stay in their rooms away from the windows until further notice! It sure must be scary. I hope MonorailDude and TheBellhop are OK. They sure will have some tales to tell us when they get back.

Wow! That's pretty scary!

My mom has been telling me all these stories of hurricanes in the past (she grew up in New Orleans). My mom being the worrier she is, is afraid that this hurricane is going to do what this hurricane in 1965 did, went up through Florida, and went out east into the Atlantic, but then it turned around backover Florida and straight to New Orleans. That's where a majority of my family is living right now, so she's just worried... I gotta go and watch the Opening Ceremony for the Olympics!! C-ya later!! :wave2:

Editted to Add: I have pics of me and my new car!! I'll post them whenever I can get them up here. If ya'll want them, of course!!

I, speaking for myself, love picturse :teeth:

:( I hope the two hotties(and TOTfreak, who is also there) are all well. This must be the pits...sitting in the hotel room ::yes:: :( I know Kev is staying for 10 or 12 days. Not sure about Ryan or TOT :teeth:

Hi all, just talked to a coysin who works for Seaworld. She said it is still raining, but the scary srorms have past.

TheBellhop & MonorailDude & HuggaBaloo should be fine/

PD to Deadheadbelle's FIL

:bounce:

DHSsenior007, I wanna see Pictures...

oddball27, Nieceosaurus is watching the olympics, but she has AC set to tape this weekend...

:bounce:

OK, just called PixieMagic and told her she gets to vote! Here's her list:

1. Jiko
2. Bongos (this surprised me!)
3. Pucks

she didn't rank any after that, but Benihana would be 6th.

Ohana she for sure would like to do a meal in Germany sometime during the week....her preference being dinner over lunch as they only have sauerbraten (sp?) at dinner.....it doesn't matter to me which one we do. I'm still working on her regarding MNSSHP. I know if I convience her to go, there won't be any costumes involved................well, maybe a tiara!

Kadaten, so you worked an OCTOBER rate with the postcard....that's great! Hopefully the AP may be even better, our Sept rate is $119 plus tax

Did I read it right? Cinderelly and family will be joining us for breakfast! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

PD to Deadheadbelle, her FIL and all those poor people in FL :(

It's late here and I'm really, really nervous about Hurricane Charley. It's supposed to hit the Carolinas tomorrow so we've stocked up on food and water and brought the deck and porch furniture in. When Hurricane Fran hit in 1996, five huge trees landed on my house, one of them landing on a dormer five feet away from Jordan's crib...I still have nightmares.....

My brother and dad left earlier tonight for the beach to move my brother's sailboat. It's too big to put on a trailer and is safer anchored in a nearby river anyway. Before every hurricane, the marina requires the owners to move the boats away from the docks and anchor in a safe portion of the nearby inland waterway. If the boats were left at the dock, the high winds and water would cause them to literally rip the dock and each other apart. :scared: I'm mostly worried for them with the rains and wind and moving the boat in the dark...spooky and dangerous..... but the marina people are very nice and will be taxiing the boat owners from their anchored boats back to the docks all night if they have to. Our big fear is that the anchor will break free and the boats will collide....not good.

Sorry....couldn't sleep and just had to rant a little :(

Goodnight, cadburysmom!

I don't remember what my Dad did with our boat during different hurricanes during the 70s and 80s---we lived on creek, wetland area just minutes away from the Chesapeake Bay. Last year, the house that I grew up in and lived until 1996, was severely damaged last year. My Dad is still happy that he sold it in 2001-just in time. I remember the tall pines trees bending almost in half during Hurricane David (I think it was that or another storm that went up the Bay in the late 70s). I slept through a lot of hurricanes as a kid. We were close to be flooded out in 1986--it might have been Gloria---the one road in had almost too much water over it to let anyone pass at all. It was weird being in a city during a couple hurricane in 1996. In fact, there was one off the FL coast during the week of 7/7/96 (before Fran) when we were honeymooning. It rained more than usual, but nothing like this latest storm. We came back and our family/friends/co-workers laughed when we said "What hurricane?" when asked.

PD to all affected in the hurricane zone. NC Beast has some family in the Tampa area. We are calling his mom in the morning if she heard anything.

I might hold my breath until blue to see if NC Beast wants to go to WDW again this year.;) Just kidding-priorities:rolleyes:

Hope everyone in Florida is staying safe. :( I hope Mickey is staying safe too.

I watched the opening ceremonies of the Olympics. I think they should have them in Greece every time! :teeth:
I love HDTV...

Laura--Hi :D

I know what you mean about techie stuff like HDTV (don't have it yet, but I enjoyed my satellite tonight--I loved my dual receiver DVR. I recorded the ceremonies and also a show on the Travel channel on WDW at the same time. We only have one tv, so this solves some arguments.:teeth:
