Does anyone have any info on the massage services available at the Contemporary? We own points at BLT and are staying there in October for our anniversary and also to run the Wine and Dine Half Marathon. I had planned to get a massage at the Grand Floridian but with that spa closing in mid-September for 18 months thats no longer an option.

I'm sure the massage services are pretty limited at the Contemporary but have any of you (or anyone you know) had a massage there? Was it a good experience?

Hi,
Does anyone know if non-members renting points at the BLT can access TOWL?
We were able to in March 2010, but I read on another board that it was members only now.
I'm wondering if the policy has changed since the last time we were there.

Thanks

I have read various threads saying that from day 1 the policy has only been to allow only DVC Members staying there on points, however not all the Cast Members would check for the blue DVC Membership cards. Besides that I also read when you rent DVC points your Key To The World cards will say DVC Member, but the Cast Members would still need to see the member cards. So I guess you can try going again and see what happens, but don't be surprised if you get turned away.

I've been looking at all the pics of BLT and was wondering if anyone can post their view from a standard 2BR unit (since I can't tell which are standard views). It says it's obstructed but I'm curious about what that really means.

Thanks!

Sarah

Basically the standard views of BLT (any size) are the first and second floors of the building. Depending on where you end up facing (it's could be any side of the building), you could have a low parking lot/Castle view, a pool view blocked by some trees, views of the path towards the CR or lake, etc. The key is being on the first or second floor leads to the not so great view.

Hi,

We've booked!!! Two weeks next August!! We could only afford a wing room so have been doing some research but I can't get any actual facts so thought I'd come straight to the source of all knowledge...

Do any of the wing rooms have balconies? Some sites say NO none of them, others say only a few do... What's the answer? I would love a little balcony to watch the water parade thingy.

Thanks!

I believe if you stay on the first floor you have a patio area but I don't believe the second floor rooms have a balcony? Maybe someone else can answer better?

This is correct. The first floor rooms all have patio's connected to them, but the other floors have a window and even a railing that makes it kinda look like there's a patio, but there is not.

Hi Everyone! Just booked DS's 8th bday trip staying at CR! So excited! I have never stayed there. Just wanted to say hi and share my excitement!!!:goodvibes

I returned a little over a week ago from a two week stay at WL/CL. It was our best vacation ever! I have some CR/Wave breakfast buffet photos I'll post soon.

When I returned form our trip, I got to work on the new WL thread which I just finished yesterday, so now I can get back to posting here:goodvibes

I've not had one at the CR, but the massages are contracted through "Relaxed Yet" Niki Bryan Spas which also serves the WL, where I had a wonderful massage many years ago.

Here is the link and there are often valuable coupons on the site under "A complimentary gift to relax"

That IS exciting! Let us know if you have any questions and congratulations on your first CR stay:goodvibes

We are down to just 2 more days until we arrive at our first ever CR stay. I am so stressed and so excited. I hope excited takes over soon because right now it is mostly stress.

I know exactly how you feel because it's only 2 more days until I check-in at the Boardwalk Inn, but soon you will be in WDW and the stress will go away.

We check-in in about 34 days for our first stay at CR!!! :cool1: Quick question for all you seasoned CR veterans---are there luggage carts to get our bags to the room? This was a big pet peeve of DHs at POR. Quite the trek to haul all of our bags and such from the car to the room. TIA!

Only the Bell Service Cast Members can handle the luggage carts, so you can't take them yourself like at other hotels.

The second you've either landed or gotten into your car to drive, you'll be so excited and you'll stop worrying about all that pre-trip stress.

Have a great vacation!

HI! How much is the CL at the Contemporary Resort at Value Season? Don't they have 2 different levels though? Attrium and something else?

thanks all!
