I agree with CR Resort Fan 4 Life.....the Contemporary Resort is just like its name implies!

Very very modern look and feel throughout the resort. Rooms are fantastic. Pool & outside areas are nice, lots of space and great landscaping.

Plus, you just can't beat looking at the monorail as it glides through the atrium every few minutes!

DW and I are going back in two weeks, for our second stay at the CR. We love it!

Check out the pictures on page 1 of this thread.

Enjoy!

Yes, there's nothing quite like watching the monorail glide through the resort. It doesn't matter how many times I've seen it, it's still exciting.

I hope you have a wonderful 2nd vacation at the CR!

Guess who is staying at the Contemporary? I am! And club level too! I hope it's as fantastic as it sounds! I'm hoping for a Magic Kingdom view room so I will still call every day til it happens, but I will take what I can get for now!

Do the club level rooms face both Bay Lake and MK? I want to an MK view, should I put in a request for that?

Thanks for the reply's!! What you guys are describing is exactly what we are hoping CR will be!

That's great that you were finally able to get a room, Hannah! So did this just happen today when you called? I'm glad your persistence finally paid off:thumbsup2.

If you booked an Atrium Club (12th floor) room then your room view is either a Bay Lake View or a MK View and this is guaranteed at the time of booking and will be listed on your confirmation. If you booked the more expensive Tower Club (14th floor) then you can put in a request for your room view.

Are you saying that you booked an Atrium Club Bay Lake View because MKV was not available?

WDWKOOK Is right because now when you reserve the Atrium Club 12th floor you choose between the Magic Kingdom View or Bay Lake View, so if your saying the Magic Kingdom View is not available then the only thing left is the Bay Lake View.

Now if you reserved the Tower Club 14th floor for those Standard Rooms you need to request the specifc view you want, because they only have a total of 5 Standard Rooms. There are 4 of them on the Magic Kingdom side and 1 on the Bay Lake side. The only rooms up there where you can reserve with the view you want is their various suites.

@WDWKOOK: I called at about 11am CT this morning and they said a standard club level room was available with the PIN. I didn't want to do Club Level, but I needed to be at CR so I took it. lol

So I booked a standard atrium room club level. That means I tell them when I get there that I want a MK view? The lady on the phone just said club level and didn't say which one. I just checked on the Disney World website and it says Atrium Club Level.

A Standard Club Level room on the Atrium Club is the Bay Lake View, however for whatever reason WDW didn't call it that when lisiting it in their room category. If you want the Magic Kingdom View you will need to reserve the Atrium Club - Theme Park View.

Oh ok! I didn't know that! I'm fine with a BLV as long as I'm at CR. :goodvibes

Well you won't need to worry because that's exactly what your getting and you can always see the Magic Kingdom from the lounge.
That's a great point and if you're not afraid of heights you (and Gramma) can even go out onto the lounge balcony during Wishes and hear the music from the lounge speakers. Also, the CL/BLV is slightly less expensive than the CL/TPV so that's good for Gramma;)

I don't know if you noticed this when you stayed there but during Wishes the Atrium Club Level Cast Members put both TV's on channel 19 and turned up the volume so you can also hear the music inside the lounge. So I am going to assume that is for those guests who don't like go out on the balcony if they are afraid of heights.

Good point, I had forgotten about that. I did venture out onto the balcony a couple of times, but it got pretty crowded and after watching a twenty-something guy lean backwards over the railing:scared1:, I had had enough of that and came in and enjoyed the show from the lounge:worship:

I think my gramma is ok with the price. She refused to stay at a non-deluxe resort and said she would treat me. I'm still going to pay my share, but it would be much easier on me knowing that we are going to pay $400+ per night. Her resort of choice was BWI.

I wouldn't mind going to the lounge to watch Wishes! That would be a lot of fun. We have a reservation for the California Grill to watch Wishes one night as my late birthday dinner since I turn 21 the week before we leave.

I'm really excited! This has totally made my day!

Hi There!

I just booked our first visit to WDW with our 3.5 yr old little girl for last week of November/first part of December.

It was important for me to stay at CR with a park view for our daughter. I originally had a 40% PIN, had to change the dates so, I lost the PIN offer so we're paying rack rate now.

Well, I emailed the concierge at the email given on the club level post. I attached my confirmation number and did this on Sunday. I never even got a email that they received this email. This has really disappointed me.

I just resent the email and hopefully I will get some response. When booking they told me that I had a standard room with a guaranteed Park view...what level does this mean we are on?

Glad you asked this, we are in the same room set up. I thought we were getting the MK view. Our documents say STD - Atrium - Club, so I guess we didn't get the MK view. I'm sure it will be great though, and we can watch Wishes from the lounge if we aren't in the park. Has anyone ever gotten upgraded to MK? Not getting my hopes up, just wondering.

Mmm.. that sounds good. I was trying to decide where to eat before leaving for the airport, and I think this sounds like a winner!

So glad that I saw this, I made 2 ADR for breakfast here! We are big breakfast eaters, and I am glad there is another option than Chef Mickey's. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Chef Mickeys, but a quieter breakfast is nice once in awhile :)

Based on the way you wrote this I would say you have a reservaton for a Tower - Theme Park View. If you had a Club Level reservation it would say Atrium Club - Theme Park View, which it does not and based on that you don't have a Club Level reservation.

That is frustrating, isn't it? Is this the email you used?

contemporary.itinerary.planning@disneyworld.com

Sometimes the IPOs don't initiate contact with the guest. You did the right thing by trying to contact them Sunday. You should have received the auto-reply and a personalized response within 24 hours. Since you didn't, please re-send your email to the address above today and let us know what happens. Oh, and congratulations on booking!

Also, here is the phone number and fax for the CR/CL IPO:

(407) 824-1775 - fax (407) 824-3461
