It doesn't make sense to me either and it's bad marketing. All the other resorts' "standard views" are a nice way of saying "parking lot view." The Atrium Club standard view is about as far from a parking lot as you can get. And, didn't the CR's TPV used to be MKV? TPV makes it sound like they're not sure which park view you'll get, but MKV described it perfectly and so would BLV for the Atrium Club instead of standard view.

Also, I have never noticed a Tower Club room/suite show-up online, have any of you? If you didn't know it existed, it would remain a relative mystery club level to most.

On a lighter note, I was able to change our AKL/CL reservation to the CR/BLV today. I did have to change our arrival to two days earlier, but it's for a good cause. So now I think our reservation is perfect: Five nights in the Tower and seven nights at the BC/Deluxe CL room

It's been a long time but in the past I have seen the various suites available online for the 14th floor. Now I can't say how often they are available on there so think of it like getting a pin code e-mailed from WDW, because that's how often anyone can see it online.

Anyway congratulations on being able to stay at the Contemporary and unless something major happens for us, it looks like you will be staying there before me.

I did resend the information and the phone rang not 5 minutes later and it was the concierge at the CR-talk about serivce! She said that they had been having issues with the prodigy account users bouncing back!

CRL4L-after going back and looking, it does say Atrium Club level with MK view. : )

That's great how they got back to you so fast and congrats on staying up there with the Magic Kingdom View.

This discussion made me curious so I picked a random Monday night in May to see if a suite in the Tower would show as available...and it does! Actually, there's a 1 BR and 2 BR available with BLV. Sounds lovely!!!

One thing I forgot to mention before is that for the regular Tower floors it's listed as Tower - Bay Lake View, so that's another example of why it's stupid not list the words Bay Lake View with the rooms on the Atrium Club.

I agree. I was so confused when the CM told me that I was booking club level. I didn't know if I had to request a view or if I was on the 12th or 14th floor, etc.

Well one thing the Cast Members should know is that the Atrium Club is the 12th floor and Tower Club is the 14th floor.

Since today is the last day of the general public room only discount from August 14th - October 1st I decided to break my rule and check one last time if any rooms at the Contemporary on the Atrium Club Level floor became available from August 31st - September 4th which are the days we are staying Club Level at the Beach Club and it's still sold out. Now incase you are wondering would I check for Annual Pass rates if they announce more dates for during that time, well I can't and that's because my Annual Pass has expired and I haven't re-newed it yet. That also means I can't log onto the Annual Pass site to look at the special offers that might come out.

I'd say it's less than a three feet. It looks very shallow from the pictures.

I'm going to try putting my question in here since no one seemed to know in a different thread. If I prebook a taxi van from BLT to DHS, where will the taxi pick us up? In front of the BLT or in front of the Contemporary? Has anyone done this? Thanks in advance.

I am wondering if anyone on here can help me. Contemporary is my dream DW resort. We've only done ASmovies which we are happy with. we are so busy and on the go it's fine. But I REALLY want Contemporary this October if I can snatch up a good deal. This is where I was hoping someone can lend me a hand. I have heard of a deal that came out last July through Orbitz at $150 a night for Tower MK View. Anyone heard of this, and what do I need to know about these types of deals?
I REALLY desire to be around the monorail route, Poly is my 2nd choice, but money does talk. CR is def my #1 pick as I adore the rooms (something I'm not fond of at Poly). I also really don't want to have to walk a distance to get to the monorail.

Last question, refillable mugs are a huge deal to us, where are the stations at the Contemporary? We make stops at least twice in our day, so it does alter our vacation if it's always a distance to get to.

Oh, also, last week of Sept Im finding nothing but a suite. Sep 27-Oct 4th is the best deal in flights right now...but nada at the CR. Will they release more tower rooms?

4th Floor at Contempo Cafe. If you are stopping before or after your monorail ride, you should be fine.

Ok good, that would work out well. I've been reading and looking at the Garden View rooms/wing. Ground floor looks very nice near the lake. So if we were to go with this, how long of a walk is it to the monorail?

Everytime I have seen Taxi's they have always been parked in front of the entrance to the Contemporary and not once have I ever seen them in front of Bay Lake Tower, however I am not sure what happens when you prebook one in advance. So if I had to guess I would say you will still be picked up in front of the Contemporary and from Bay Lake Tower you can either leave through it's main entrance which is a 1 minute walk to the Contemporary main entrance or you can take the skybridge over to the 4th floor of the Contemporary and exit through their lobby.

If you are only seeing suites available for your dates maybe all their other rooms are sold out for convention guests which can happen, however the key is to keep checking a few times each day to see when other rooms become available. You never know when that might happen.

Now if you stayed in their Garden Wing section it's a 5 minute walk or less to the Tower and it's under a covered walkway. The main difference with the Polynesian is that the Contemporary only has 1 Garden Wing section and not several of them, so it's not confusing and etc.

Also here is a tip about the Contempo Cafe mug stations. They have two of them and one of them is shut off at 10:00 PM which is the one closest to Chef Mickey's. Then their other one is shut off at 12:00 AM when they close for the evening, so unlike the Food & Fun Center you can't drinks 24 hours a day and that includes their Coffee, Hot Chocolate and hot water machines.
