We only ate breakfast there once and on another day, we stopped in for some snacks. It was perfectly servicable for coffee and pop refills but we weren't very impressed with the place. It was kind of crowded and institutional feeling. However, it is the only quick serve place on property with the Monorail running overhead.

We really enjoyed the pool and water play area at the CR. It seemed to us that they've added a bunch of trees since we were last there in 2008.

We really enjoyed the CR as we did the last time. I will say our room was not very clean when we checked in. Indeed, it was downright filthy. But one visit to the front desk rectified the situation pretty quickly. They cleaned our room while we were at dinner and the rest of the week, the room was pretty clean. We ended up with really good housekeeping service after that.

It can happen at any hotel, so my suggestion is: if your room isn't clean enough for your satisfaction, pay a polite visit to the front desk. Don't waste your time on the phone.

I remember just before we checked out the 4th floor observation deck had been closed for a few days for some renovations, so it no one could watch Wishes from there. I am just wondering did it re-open while you were there?

I also wanted to say I like those other pictures you posted and they look great.

Well, I did it again!!! This forever the resort changing traveler just grabbed a fantastic AP rate at the CR and switched us out of Pop!!! We arrive on Thursday and stay through Tuesday!!! Once again, trip is a surprise for DS He will get up for school on Thursday but we will have QUITE the surprise for him!!

I just hope my luggage doesn't get lost DME said to hand change the tags from Pop to CR and that when they scan the tag at the airport, it will have the correct hotel in their system...

I can't speak to whether they re-opened the 4th floor observation deck b/c we never tried to go out there. However, to the extent these facts are related, I do know they re-opened the sky bridge to the BLT on the day we checked out b/c we saw people on it as we were getting off the monorail. I think our trips overlapped. We checked out of the CR on the 18th and then were in SoFla for a few days and then stayed at the AKL for a night. Indeed, we just returned from there last week.

We didn't check out of the Contemporary until the 20th so we were there during the same time and I saw when the skybridge to and from Bay Lake Tower was re-opened.

I checked out of the BLT Friday and the 4th floor observation deck was still closed then.

We've stayed at the Contemporary 3 times in years past and we will be staying there this coming weekend for Labor Day. We always stay in the Garden Wing and that is what we booked for this trip. Yesterday I got an email and it looks like we have been upgraded to the Tower, Bay Lake View. I am excited to be in the Tower for the 1st time!

Yesterday I got an email and it looks like we have been upgraded to the Tower, Bay Lake View. I am excited to be in the Tower for the 1st time!

Congrats on the upgrade! You will LOVE being in the tower! We are also going for Labor Day (and just switched to the CR yesterday- I bet it was your upgrade that opened up that GW room for me too!!! )

Not only did we enjoy the Boardwalk but it was even better then we could have thought, so it exceded our expectations.

I don't know if you read my trip reports but we obviously tried to stay Club Level at the Contemporary with the current Bounceback deal, however no matter the dates we tried it was sold out. So we orginally booked a Tower Bay Lake View with the Bounceback rate, then switched to the Boardwalk Standard Club Level Room. I also checked the AP rates along with the other room only deal and the Atrium Club was still sold out.

HI! Just wanted to say how excited I am to be staying @ the CR in Jan. 2011. Started off planning the trip for just DH and I @ the CR but then decided on taking the kids. So I canceled CR and booked 2 rooms POFQ, since my sister is coming along. However I just kept thinking about the CR. So I did a little Disney math Low and behold we are now staying 3 nights @ Pop and the last 3 nights @ CR TPV and the other room BLV I keep seeing the views from other posters and I get more excited! Also the kids do not know they are coming along so it is a surprise for them
