I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to everyone on this fabulous CR thread for posting photos and trip reports - especially WSWKOOK when I asked the refrigerators in the rooms and CR Fan of course!

oops - Obviously I meant "WDWKOOK"! - Can't type today!

We are really excited about an upcoming stay at the Contemporary in November. During our stay, there is a Tower Theme Park View room available, which I booked. Now a Standard Room Atrium Club Level room has come available, but I see in the description it says that these rooms could have views of Magic Kingdom or Bay Lake. (I'm assuming this depends on what side of the building you are assigned.) The TPV is very important as a surprise for our kids.. Wondering if I'd be better off sticking with TPV for the guaranteed view, or is Club Level and 50% chance of MK view worth taking the chance? Thanks for any insight you can provide.:wizard:

Sadly Disney never updated their descriptions. The only TPV Atrium Club room is actually called Atrium Club Magic Kingdom View. The Standard View Atrium Club rooms are of Bay Lake.

It's not just that but I think in their description they claim you need to request a fridge which is not true and maybe some other things. Oh well at least we all know what the real answers are and etc.

I also remember they still list the Atrium Club as not being full Club Level and etc when we know that's 100% not true.

Wow, thanks for the information. That would have been very disappointing to book based on the description and then check in to find I never had a shot at a TPV. It is a shame that Disney can't maintain updated descriptions, especially for something major like that.:sad2:

You're welcome and I agree it is a shame that they don't update their site with the correct information.

DH decided to switch us today to a CL 1 br suite - MK view - for a week. We have not stayed at CL in the CR before. We have been in a standard room overlooking the atrium and have stayed in the Garden Wing (a long time ago). We were set to stay in the garden wing again in the hospitality suite there. I like having more room - he likes a view.

I am always just happy to go to WDW. It's going to be great no matter what! :woohoo:

Congratulations and I hope you have a great time. :thumbsup2

staying at BLT sept 23-29. Does anyone know how old or tall you have to be to go on the waterslide? I was wondering if my 3 and 4 year old will be able to ride, even if they have to go on my lap. Also are they allowed to wear floatation devices in the pools?
I would appreciate any tips you can give me! thanks!

4 yr. old granddaughter used the slide and she did wear her floaties. Not sure of her exact height but she was able to ride Splash Mountain, Test Track (which she loved :lovestruc) and Soarin'. She had soooo much fun. There's also a neat water area at the Contemporary for that age group. The BLT pool was extremely crowded one afternoon and we ventured over to the other pool. Also a slide there that she used. You will LOVE BLT ... awesome resort! Will be posting pictures (2 bedroom) on Resort Photos and Videos sometime in the next couple of days...pool as well as rooms...if you'd like to check back. :tink:

The bags are packed, DS is excited and STUNNED that we are really going! Soon it is time to head to the airport and back to our happy place! :cloud9:

I do not know of any age/height limitations, but I do know that they will have to go alone. Lifeguards will not allow them to go down on your lap, sorry.

And, some of the lifeguards say no floats on the water slide. I have seen others allow them. So, I'm not really sure what the official Disney rule is.

1 week from today we will be checking into our CR Bay Lake View room and we cannot be anymore excited about it. It is going to be so nice to be on the monorail and also in walking distance to the MK. Just wanted to thank everyone who contributed to this thread.....all of the info that I got out of it has really helped us :goodvibes
