Thank you! Yes, I have the MK Tower reserved, just wanted to get a higher room, but I have been too darn busy to call anyone about it.

Will we have to take the luggage to Bell Services or can we leave it in the room? We will be rushing out the door to get to a park, and if its' quicker we can just take it with us. 10 years ago we had them move our stuff from ASMo to BC, and we just left it in the room as ASMo.

Should I note the continuos reservation on the fax I send down?

Thanks a bunch!!! Very excited for my first stay at CR!

You can't leave your luggage in the room unattended, someone must remain with the luggage, at least that's what the bellman have always told us. If you can't wait for the Bellman, bring it downstairs to them yourself.

If you're sending a fax anyway, go ahead and note that you're transferring to BWV and note the res. number.

You're welcome and have a safe trip.

Those pics are great, but it took me a second to realize what the freezer was LOL!
:rotfl::thumbsup2
I felt strange taking and posting the photo, but people have asked so many times about the freezer that I thought it might be helpful to post a photo of it.

We stayed at the CR last week, for the first time. It was great!
We had the biggest surprise, with lots of pixie dust!

Wow! That would be quite a surprise! Lucky you!! :yay:

We are staying in one of these in April. I am looking forward to it. We travel all of the time, and having a lot of space is more important to us than the view. We are always in the parks at night anyway - with teens.

We love visiting Disney and go at least once a year - always staying in a resort hotel. Our last visit (not the first) was in 2006. The only thing that is a little weird is how low the ceilings are! We were hoping that the garden wing has higher ceilings. But, the pictures make it look just like in the main building. That box design is really strange. :confused3

I was afraid to book at BLT, b/c I keep reading reviews on how worn the furniture looks and how it is hard to get good mousekeeping over there. We stopped by and someone at the front desk gave us a tour last November. The room they showed us was nice and really spacious - higher ceilings too. haha But, the reviews made me nervous so we booked ourselves at the CR. We have not stayed in the Garden Wing since 1995 (that is why we can't remember how the ceilings are in those rooms)! I hope the suite will be nice.

Thanks for the new pictures. How high up were you?
You're welcome. We were on the 12th floor and it turns-out we were right next door to CRRF4L and his parents, but I didn't find this out until he recently posted his room number.

If anyone has recently been to the Contempo Cafe or incase you didn't know this I saw that they changed the buns used for their Cheeseburgers. Gone was that disgusting bun with the seeds sticking out and it's been replaced with a whole wheet bun.

They also added a self serve Ice Cream machine with Chocolate, Vanilla, and Swril flavors and it costs $2.29 + tax and I have a picture of it which is one of the many I will be posting tomorrow.

Well, it definitely pays to keep checking for the room type you want :)

I had wanted to book the Standard View room (i.e. la cheapest room), as our room view was down the list of things we were willing to pay more for. This was for mid-May 2011, so I was pretty surprised when I called in April 2010 and those rooms were already sold out. Even the CM on the phone said she was shocked :rolleyes1 I called a few more times over the summer and got the same answer, and when they released rooms for online booking, again...no Standard Views. So I went ahead and just booked the next available room type.

But then I read the wonderful tips on here to keep checking for rooms due to conventions pulling rooms, etc. I expected it to be the first part of 2011 before this might happen (if I was lucky), but I still checked every day. And voila, today there was the room we wanted. Saved a nice chunk o' change...not that those savings won't still get spent at WDW. ;)

So Dis peeps, thanks for the heads up!

WDWKOOK,
All of your photos look great so thanks for posting them.
You're welcome. Still can't believe we were neighbors. I never saw anyone going in or out of any of the rooms near ours while we were there:confused3

I hope the channel 20 music wasn't too loud:rolleyes1. I absolutely love the jazzy, instrumental Disney songs they play on the CR channels. I asked the concierge where I could buy it and they told me to call WDW Shopping. I did, and they said each resort has their own "soundtrack" and they aren't available to the public:sad1:

I'll have to check iTunes to see if they're available by the individual artist, whomever that may be...

I know because it would have been gret to meet you in person and no the music was not to loud.

I also noticed that your pictures from the lounge were dated Aug 12, 2010 and I happened to be in the lounge just after 5:00 PM that day, however I needed to get over to the Magic Kingdom because I was meeting some friends and we had an ADR ar Tony's Town Square. So we were that close to seeing each other, although would either of us had know that?

Here are my most recent Contemporary photos.

While I was walking around the Contemporary boat dock I noticed that the boat to Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness now starts 10 minutes later at 6:55 AM. While it might not seem like a big deal I just thought you should know.

CRRF4L:

Thanks for posting more photos.

I can't believe we both have photos of the same lounge appetizers, presumably from the same day. We must have crossed paths at some point and didn't even know it.

You're welcome and I actually took those pictures in the lounge of those appetizers the following Thursday. Also if you noticed the fridge has the Contemporary logo because it was not on the picture you took. I remember seeing it one morning without it and later that day it was added on, so I guess it was Disney magic.
