~*~The After-Twilight Bookclub!!!~*~

Clockwork Angel comes out today!!! It is the prequel to the Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. I can't wait to read this!!!

Also, Unravaled comes out today by Gena Showalter. It is the 2nd book to her YA series Intertwined. It is about a boy who has 4 different souls living inside of him. I really liked the 1st one and I love Gena Showalter so I am hoping this one is good!

For those who like the Black Dagger Brotherhood, and Lords of the Underworld series, you must try the Demonica series by Larrissa Ione. They are fantastic! The latest book, Sin Undone just came out last week and it was GREAT! She is also working on a spin off series about the four horseman of the apocalypse.

Right now I am almost finished with Kresley Cole's 10th book from her Immortals After Dark series, Demon from the Dark. I love this book, it is so good I can't put it down. It's another series for lovers of adult paranormal romance, like Lords of the Underworld.

I am out of the loop when it comes to the Hunger Games books. I tried reading the 1st one and couldn't get into it. My sister and DD loved the series. DD is now reading Mocking Jay. my sister read it and wasn't too happy with the ending.

AreyleysAdriana, keep reading the Mortal Instruments series!!! Everyone felt the same way you do after that 1st book! Trust me it is so worth it to continue reading, you will be very happy!

I will continue to power through, don't worry. I got the whole box set from Amazon, so I feel financially obligated to read them all whether I like them or not.

I finally got Mockingjay today though, so I'm taking a break from CoG to read it.

It will pay off in the end.

Enjoy Mockingjay!!

I agree about the Demonica series. I love it and forgot that the new one was due out. I may have to run out and get myself a present.

I really liked Iron King, I need to get Iron Daughter.

The Iron Daughter is even better! Also in between the books is a short story called Winter's Passage. I googled Winter's passage PDF and was able to read it online. It's really good!

I finished Mockingjay last night. I have mixed emotions about it. I think it's probably the weakest of the three books. The ending was kinda lame to me and anti-climactic for some reason. I really wanted her to end up with Peeta but the way it played out was not satisfying to me. Overall not too bad. I would have liked a little more romance in it!

I bought Iron Daughter yesterday. I bought it and Spy Glass, which is the third book of a trilogy by Maria V Snyder. I love her series that started with Poison Study. I love the male lead. I am reading White Cat by Holly Black, a book that my daughter the major Mortal Instruments fan wanted because Jace is in it. I guess from what Kody says Holly Black is a fan of Cassandra Clare and it was homage. Any way as soon as I finish Black Cat I am gonna read Spy Glass and then Iron Daughter.

I thought there could have been another 100 pages added to Mockingjay. I felt it was rushed. I understand that Suzanne Collins is probably tired of writing this series but I wish that the ending could have been more complete.

For a different genre, then you don't have to compare to the last series you just read. Try the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich. It will have you laughing so hard in some parts people will be looking at you funny and want to know what is going on. It starts with One For The Money. Book 17 comes out next June. The only similarity is there is also a love triangle but you don't really see that till you get to book 5. But the tention is always there. So instead of choosing between Jacob and Edward, or Werewolf and Vampire, you can choose between a hot Italian cop named Joe Morelli and a hot bounty hunter/security specialst named Ranger who doesn't alway seem quite human. Then there is Stephanies side kick. Lula. Think Lucy and Ethal. It is a great read. I betcha can't read just one.

I just read a book this week called Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta. This is one of the best books I've read in a while! It starts out slow and a bit confusing but if you stick with it you will be greatly rewarded!

I have read most of them. I started reading them in 2000 when my dad died. My teenage daughters are hooked now. They are fun but I just started getting tired of them. I decided to read 16 because my girls thought it was so good. I think I started getting bored with them after I met Janet Evanovich at a book signing and just was not impressed.

My favorite author is Tamora Pierce she has a set of series set in the world of Tortall with Lady Knights. She writes books about strong woman. They are YA books so there isn't the overwhelming romance and such. I love her work and I have read and reread her books.

Kresley Cole always pops up online as like the Queen of paranormal romance. I read the first of her books (can't even remember the name, main character named Lachlain who kept trying to rape the vampire heroine.) Anyway, I HATED it! Do the books get better? Because I've loved the Demonica books, Black Dagger Brotherhood, Lords of the Underworld, but that first Kresly Cole one just totally turned me off.

The Fever Books by Karen Moning are awesome. She has fantastic cliffhangers! I loved The Poison Study, and can't wait to continue that series.

Right now I'm on book three of Jeanine Frost's Night Huntress Series. Bones will completely make you think: Edward Who? OMG, he's hot, sultry, sarcastic! I think he even beats out all the Brothers as my favorite literary vampire! LOL! Second book, chapter 32, that's all I have to say about that!;):cool2:

BTW, has anyone else joined Goodreads . com? I love being able rate and review books and seeing what my friends are reading.

Sorry I can offer nothing on the vampire book front, I am of the odd variety I cannot get into them at all. I am not sure why.....

But, I do have a dilemma. I want to read something that scares me but doesn't gross me out. Any thoughts?

But, I can offer some fun books. They are the Jaz Parks books by Jennifer Rardin. The first one is called Once Bitten, Twice Shy. She is a vampire hunter that is paired with a sexy male vampire.

I just finished "Clockwork Angel". It was soooo goood!!! I have no idea how I'll be able to wait until next September for the next book!

I believe the 4th book in the Mortal Instruments is out in April though if that helps.

April 5th to be exact. It's in my wish list over at amazon. Im not too excited about it though, the story focuses on Simon and not Jace and Clary.

I on the other hand loved Simon, this should be fun.

I finished Clockwork Angel last night. It was AMAZING! Damn I hate cliff-hangers! D:

Spoilers in white:

I'm Team Will/Jem, Jem/Will, Willjem, I can't pick.
