:woohoo: Yay, FTC and Cut-out-Guy!! :woohoo: 'So glad to hear from you again!

I'm looking forward to the upcoming CMO-related stuff, Patrick! I'm also glad to hear you're feeling a bit better. (Ouch! )

Hi Everyone!

Glad to hear from you son. Would it hurt you to call your mother every once in awhile? ;)

FTC, good to hear from you too......so happy you're checking in and not forgetting us! No worries about the shushing..... :ssst:

Hi there 3guys! :yay:

Doombuggy......it's nice to hear from you....can't wait to see what you've cooked up! :stir:

Hi to all the regulars too! :lovestruc

So, no takers for Skinny Minnie? She's feeling very unwanted and sad. If no one wants her she might just have to come with Alyssa and me to New York next week! Remember that? I'm taking Ally to the city for her 12th birthday and we leave next week. Yikes that was fast. So, if you want a visit from Minnie just let me know....otherwise I might have to take her on another journey. Think airport security will let her through?

Great to hear from you, FTC!

Hey Patrick - I'm totally looking forward to seeing what you've been up to!

Mrs. Fleagle I vote for Minnie to have the fun of a trip to New York - Little Cheese meets Big Apple!

I definitely want to have a skinny visit me here but my life has taken one of those really out of control turns for right now. One of my other cats is now in the hospital with neurologic signs that started last evening just as I had sat down to try to rest after a long sad day that started with the death of my friend Sandahbeth. She had a long complicated illness and had been placed on life support a few weeks ago. Her medical team met with her husband on Saturday and told him there was no longer a chance that she could recover, so he called a small number of us and had us come to the hospital yesterday morning to be with them as she passed away. She is singing in the Angel Band now and I know it is best for her, but I will miss her terribly. The other piece of this moment (Cathie you already knows this part) is that I am also in a pitched battle with clothing moths that have invaded my apartment so there is a seemingly endless amount to do before things settle down again.
My kitty is having some tests right now with the neurologist and hopefully has a treatable if chronic and slightly degenerative problem. I told him under no circumstances does he have permission to go sing with the Angel Band or attend the after party that everyone seems in such a big hurry to get to as losing Emma and my friends Utah, Jim and Sandahbeth seems like quite enough for the moment to me.
In this momentous time I want to reiterate that I'm really grateful for all the sweet people here. I value your kindness, humor, energy and creativity enormously.  to everyone.

Wow......sadness! I am so sorry you are going through so much right now, some seriously big hugs coming your way!

So, what is it with all the bad luck? I went to the studio tonight for our Company Auditions and guess what? Someone broke into the studio and stole my stereo equipment! Lovely. Just what I needed. Seriously, Fleagle luck sucks. Could someone give me a clue as to when to quit and just give up? Errrr!

Oh no!! Here are hugs right back at you - I'm so sorry! It's not like the stuff can't be replaced, but it's a hassle and expense you just don't need.

My kitty Simon is home from the hospital - we just got back. He definitely has a thing that will be chronic with some pattern of deterioration that we will know more about as it unfolds. I'm going to look into acupuncture as well as the medications and supplements we'll start when all the tests are back in. He's happy to be back and weathered an MRI, spinal tap and some other neurologic testing really well. He's pretty wobbly, but very determined.

CircusGirl and mom..... I hope that things start looking up soon!

I'll take Skinny Minnie if nobody has claimed her yet! I have Pluto and Mickey so I could take some group shots also!

Thanks, Cat!
Skydiving looking great. You're so brave!

Good stuff coming in the next few weeks (CMO related believe it or not) I was shooting for last week, but a returning ulcer knocked me out for a little longer then I had expected. I was in so much pain I couldn't concentrate on working on anything. Feeling MUCH better now though (thank goodness)

I'll post here as soon as my little project is done and ready for you guys.

Glad to see the thread still going...slowed down or not!

Patrick
Cut-Out-Guy

I'm really sorry to hear about your pains but so glad you are feeling better now! And I really can't wait to see the CMO video shoot.:cool1:

Gosh, there is a lot going on right now...I'm sorry for you that your friend has moved on and really sorry to hear about your cat. My blond kitty (12yo) has thyroid issues and has lost a ton of weight. We give her medication 2x day and if this doesn't work, the doc said our next step is radiation treatments -- meaning he gets zapped and then we can't see him until the geiger counter says its OK. Not only will it be $$$$$ but I really don't want to put him through that. So we're really hoping the meds will start to work.

It's amazing what vets can do for our beloved family members! He (and his brother) are "my" first cats ... and I can't imagine life without them. We had many cats growing up but these are the first for me as an adult. It's really sad to think about his unknown future.

So, many   to you and yours!

Mrs. F -- sooo sorry to head about the theft!

My update:

We are plugging away at potty training...it's going v-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y. My DD told me she rather just P&P in her diaper or pull-up. :faint: So we are giving her one more week and then going commando -- straight to underwear.

Our dining room furniture arrived and ARGH!!! there were scratches in the glass and wood. So now we are fighting with, oops, I mean working with the customer service department. They said they can repair the wood -- I say, I didn't purchase brand new furniture in order to have it "repaired". It's an uphill battle...

And YAY FOR ME! I've moved on to 3 injections a day (the next step in the IVF process). Now we're just trying to figure out the right doses of meds while my body grows the eggs. So we're moving along nicely.

Oh, Cat -- can't wait to see the sky-dive!!

Hey Marshay!

After reading your post - and all the other DIS-ers recently - I'm thinking it's a good thing I do all my major living in my cat-toons. I wouldn't have the stamina to do what you all do!

By the way - it's a little rough - but I made it to the ground!!!!

Marshay - Please feel free to pm me about your kitty's thyroid thing.
One of my former kitties had the I-131 and it was great. She hated taking meds so it worked much better for us and she was just a well kitty right away. The treatment is just an injection and doesn't have any side effects unless their kidney function isn't good going into the therapy. And thanks for the understanding!
Good luck with the potty training!!!

Cat - Congratulations on the successful jump! :woohoo: :woohoo:

Circusgirl - I'm sorry to hear about your cat's illness. We haven't had any cats since my DD was very young due to her being allergic to them. We do however have a Mini Schnauzer (Rex) that is very special to our family. DW and kids are very close to him and he thinks that he is one of us. I know we would all be very devistated if anything ever happened to him.

Marshay - I'm sorry to hear about your cat as well. I hope the treatments work and everything turns out OK.

My DW has finished some more scrapbook pages. I'll try to post some pictures of them this weekend. She would really like to have a way to better organize her stuff. Right now it is scattered all over the table in our living room. We have a small room off the garage that I study in. There might be enough room for her to move into there. Do you have any suggestions on organizing and storing her stuff?

It's good to hear that the IVF process is going good so far!

GOOD LUCK with the furniture and the potty training! Just be consistant with DD an she'll get the hang of it. The best thing is to not push her and to let her do it on her own.

Mrs.F. - It seems this bad luck seems to be spreading. To bad I'm allergic to that stuff though! :goodvibes

Depending on how much money you want to spend ... you can find all kinds of great storage solutions for crafting.

I didn't want to spend a lot of money so I went to Wal-mart and bought various Sterlite containers.

I have two 3 drawers that I stacked on top of each other (about 4-5' tall). I have one 7 drawer and on top of that is a small 3 drawer and 2 very small 3 drawers stacked to 6' tall.

This is a sample:

Then I have various rubbermaid and other brand containers to stack my extras in.

For my stickers, I just have 3 binders and put the stickers in plastic sleeves in the binders.

For brads and eyelets, etc, I bought some craft containers at Michael's that have adjustable slats so I can change the size of the rows/columns to fit my needs.

My loose ribbons are just stored in a large food container that I cleaned out.

For my scissors, tapes, glue, markers, punches, crop-o-dile, eyelet tools, etc (things I regularly use), I put them in these on my desk.

For all the paper, I have 9 of these on a side desk.

The rest (yes there is more!), is lying around in piles waiting to be stored away. It seems I'm better at getting it out then putting it back!

We had converted a bedroom into a home office when I worked from home. Then when I quit my job to be SAHM full-time, we switched to a "junk" room. Then I took it over for scrapbooking!

Good luck!
