When the ex-husband and i stayed at the Poly the first time, years ago, they still had actual key locks on the safes.
Our first day getting there. First time ever there for me after years of dreaming. Was spent, Waiting on someone to come cut off the lock so i could retirieve the key which was in the safe. ugh. :headache:
The silver lining is that we were upgraded to concierge and had a castle view.
So i could look at it, but i couldn't get to it! lol:lmao:
I really wanted to run over there and "see" the castle and have the husband wait for the dude, but he was having none of it. :sad2:
He did take the blame for locking the key in the safe tho....:rolleyes1

:lmao::lmao: That's hiliarious, Kim!! I'm so glad I wasn't the only who has had some seriously "idiot moments" at WDW. I swear though, this trip seemed to have so many of them!! There's another one coming up that involves yet more mis-placed items.... UGH!! They must have a note on my customer profile for "most brainless guest". :lmao:

I hope you feel better! I am trying to deny i have the flu. Been working with it. ugh.

Stupid thing is i am soooo tired but cannot sleep. so i sit and..:surfweb:

I am a teensy bit better although my headache rages and my fever is back I fear. Time to take some more pain reliever, I guess.

The back pain is just a chronic thing that is either bad or worse. I am hoping that when I get serious about my running again, it will get somewhat better. :confused3 I totally get the not sleeping thing!! I hope you feel better very soon, Kim!! It's just not fun to feel crappy and have to function when you do.

You sure you shouldn't be seen? I don't like my friend being sick.

Boy, I missed a lot in the few months that I have been gone. I am catching up now.

I can't even imagine what the Yoplait was like after being in the hot car so long. Yikes!!

:rotfl2: to the mug story. That is too funny! :rotfl2:

I actually think its pretty cool that the CM gave you a replacement mug. That is good to know. And FWIW - I would have completely panicked if I lost my mug. I mean, seriously, who would want to pay twice for a mug, yet in a way, its a necessity.

My DH always buys tons of yogurt when we are anywhere on vacation and he never finishes it. There is always that moment of "what should I do with all this yogurt?" I just think its a boring food when there are a million choices around. Sorry yours met its destruction in the Florida sun.

Maroo, never underestimate the power of Disney magic when you're wearing funky shirts. My little clan got picked on at Monsters, Inc once because we were all in our matching tie dye glory. :lmao It was a lot of fun, I'm glad Baker got that special experience.

Liesa, I have to laugh about the mug thing because it really sounds like something I would do. Again, I attribute it to the children sucking my brain power. I know you know what I mean.

Oh brother! :sad2: How hard can it be to keep up with a simple little mug??? :confused3 It's not like it is something tiny or colorless that won't draw your attention, like say a bluetooth or a set of keys or something like that!!! :rolleyes1

J/K you Liesa! I can't tell you the number of things I have put "UP" so I would know just where to find them when needed, only to go crazy looking when the time came! Then some time later I pull out a bag or something and go "what is this?" and when I pull it out I immediately remember the brilliance of putting it there when I originally did it. There is a Game Boy somewhere in our house that I took as punishment a few years ago, that we STILL haven't found! And don't EVEN ask me where that bluetooth is!!! :guilty:

You know what they say about the first thing to go; and if I remember what it is, I'll tell you in a future post........ ;)

Maroo, I loved the Monsters Inc. story. I'm so happy that Baker's family trip has been so magical in just a short time. I even watched the video twice! :)

Liesa, Liesa, Liesa. :sad2: I can't believe anyone would misplace important stuff like that! (Let's see....me and Marlene's headphones in '09, me and my sunglasses in '10,.....)

Maybe. And if so, I guess before we lose our health insurance next month. :confused3

Welcome back, Sophia!! It HAS been a long, long time! Everything ok in your world?? And just think I'm not even close to our Meet yet! :lmao:

Yeah, that Yoplait could have been the next Disney night time spectacular had it been "set off". :lmao:

I know!!! They are a necessity! I honestly don't know if they'll do it for everyone- I mean let's face it, there may be some folks who would love to try to get a free mug- but I had my receipt and I guess I have an innocent looking demeanor. :lmao: It was like a raving lunacy hissy when I coudln't find it!

One can never have too much yogurt, nor get rid of it fast enough when the time comes. Which is ALWAYS sooner than you think it's going to be. :lmao:

Yes, that's it!! Brain loss! ::yes::

Hi Liesa,

Things are okay in my world. Recovering from surgery which gives me time to DIS and to catch up!

I can't wait to read more...........

I know, I know!!! A large-ish mug with not so subtle colors... sheesh!

Ha, I totally lol when I saw that you do the same thing with game boys. We lost one once for about a year in Kazland. Honestly, I wasn't sorry to see it go. The amount of chores that get done when they are told to do them increases about 1,000%.

I guess I felt the worst about actually thinking I should ask for a new one rather than just pay for my mistake. :headache:

Liesa, Liesa, Liesa. :sad2: I can't believe anyone would misplace important stuff like that! (Let's see....me and Marlene's headphones in '09, me and my sunglasses in '10,.....)

I knew you'd understand.... :rolleyes1

You're so honest Liesa! Nobody should flame you about the mug because you even made the effort to return the replacement. Good on you! That was very nice of them to give you a replacement after all. I'm sure they saw the halo over your head  Hope all is going well with you. I wish I could hang around here more often.... sigh.:upsidedow

See, I'm actually impressed you went to the concierge! I could have done that in 09 (for Kendall) and August for Taylor and it never occurred to me to try that. It was more like "too bad for you"

LOL

Even funnier that you really had it. I don't think it has anything do vacation or kids and brain loss. I think it's really brain overload, there just is only so much room up there and things leak out/slide out. I just bought another giant Costco pack of shredded Tillamook cheddar (not cheap) and a 6 pack of mixed bell peppers (not cheap either). I had BOTH at home. I hate it when I do that!

I hear you on the yogurt, we always get some for the kids and GG sells them in packs or individual. Packs are a better deal, except we only end up using half of them!

I almost didn't post my little laundry list, but I knew you'd jump all over it.

Ahhh, the friend who knows me well... :lmao:

I wish you could hang out more too. In fact, I wish you lived closer- it'd be fun to hang out in real life! Our PNW Meet is coming up FIRST WEEKEND OF APRIL. Wanna trade out Vegas for Salem. (We have oodles of casinos as well, and a great big canyon as well. ;))

I did try, and another situation nearly identical comes up later. I guess when I've learned one idiot trick, I can apply the skill to other things.

Thanks! Things are going pretty well! Mike got an interview for the job he really wants with the State Forestry Dept. We are really hoping he gets it!!!

I do believe we DID lose one in our 2008 trip; same thing- "too bad". Had we not had another we could share, I'd have probably gotten another.

It was funny, and as I was talking to Mary just a bit ago, she says I got the story just a bit off. I hope she'll correct it, because the way she remembers it, it was 10 times funnier. Mary, give your version...!!!!

I hate that too!! Good news is that both cheese and peppers freeze great! Cut the pepper, shred the cheese, baggie them up and there ya go! :thumbsup2 The peppers you'll only be able to use in cooking, but it works.

I've told my husband (many times :sad2:) that they have his picture on file warning CMs of his temper. This played out in my favor last year - he had been battling Beach Club over dryers that wouldn't dry, and DVD players with remotes that wouldn't run them. We were headed to the lobby to thank the manager who finally got things fixed. As we were walking across the lobby, looking for a manager we had never met, she saw us and said "Oh you must be Danny" I laughed and told him that she recognized him from the picture they keep backstage!
