Sounds nice... For me the sound of rural living is a train. We live at the end of the street and have some pasture/wooded area just past us. Somewhere past that are some train tracks - the way the sounds echo around in the little hills and valleys, and off the trees sometimes it sounds like it's coming through the side of the house, and other times it sounds miles and miles away :confused3 I told you I have never lived more than 12 miles from where I started,....well, the town I live in now is population about 300, the one I grew up in was 500. So you living in the 'Stans, or those DISers who live in the cities - both are pretty foreign concepts for me. :rolleyes1

I tried to reply to both your's AND norybell's a couple nights ago, but was foiled by crappy rural internet. Which will be the story of my life. I guess I'll have to combine grocery shopping trips with posting forays.

Anywhooooo.... YeS!! we have the train too. The one that buzzes and whistles down alongside I-5. I LOVE how it sounds off in the distance.

I also forgot one more sound that will take some getting used to: the sound of hunting rifles. Lots of that here too. Here ducky, ducky, ducky.

That sounds truly lovely. I'm sick of city life!

But just think of how close you are to oodles of entertainment options, grocery shopping, and libraries!!!! I will definitely miss all of that!

Forgot your toothbrush?! Bummer. I not only remembered my toothbrush, but I packed an extra one. It was by accident though, I had bought a travel toothbrush set, with floss, mini toothpaste, mouthwash and brush the whole nine yards, I had bought it months before my trip and packed it...months before my trip, then the day of my departure I completely forgot about my nifty new toothbrush set and packed my everyday toothbrush. But no worries, my forgetfulness came in handy as Lo had forgotten her toothbrush and I saved her fifty some odd dollars by giving her my old one....Just kidding!!! LOL! I gave her the new one.

I love my kooky pens, my Mom bought me, Mickey, Donald and Goofy, I use them at work and color coordinate them with my outfit.

I have learned from you to carry my journal with me in the parks and write when needed. I usually just journal at the end of the night but I know great stuff gets left out, even now I look back at my TR and realize I have left out important stuff from day 1. So on my next trip the journal becomes part of me.

And last but not least, I am going to try the Shrimp Lo mein. It looks tasty.

HAHA!! That'd been funny! :lmao: Giving her the old one... :rotfl2:

You color coodinate them with your clothes?!! :worship:

I think as my trip went on, I got lazier and lazier with my journaling- only doing it at night- so the longer this TR lasts, the more fictional it will get. ;)

And last but not least, If you like a heaping plate of noodles- that's the dish for you!

Well I see everyone enjoyed my naked Bus Man !!!:rotfl2:Tomorrow I meet up with Jen, Bubba and Yuki!!!:banana:I have my outfit all picked out !!:lmao:Hopefully by Monday pix

Oooh, oooh, oooh!! I will have to check that out tomorrow morning!!!

Actually, we've only gotten a few inches here in Central PA. CT and MA have gotten hammered. But they are calling for snow on the 22nd! :scared1:

I mentioned the free dining deal but said we should probably not spend the money because there is work we want to do to the house and he said just book it! I almost fainted!

So glad Mike has a job offer but CA -yikes! I keep hoping/praying life will settle down for you guys. Though you are right about the DLR AP!

Glad you are alive and that you found the internet stick! I would love to see pics of your new digs! Sounds peaceful and relaxing - just what you guys need!

Glad you didn't get completely buried!! We'll see what kind of nasty weather you all get over the next few weeks- you've all certainly had more than your fair share.

WOW!! I think I'd faint too!! That's so amazing! I guess miracles really do happen!

Mike has another interview on Thursday for a job nearer- we shall see what HIS plans are... Meantime, a healthy dose of patience is needed!

I will call my FIL in the AM and see if he can bring that camera of his! Although, I would be so embarrassed to show pictures of the house and it's utter shambles right now!

I hope I can start sleeping better soon- New house+ too much work= not much quality OR quantity sleep.

New place sounds really nice!!

Thanks, Mary!! So far, I really like it- just not emotionally prepared to really become attached to it yet.

Now here's something interesting!!!!! NEWSFLASH!!

Oh Liesa!:grouphug: Prayers that all will work out as it should.

The major downfall of two stories. That and the sound of plumbing...
Wind in the trees....:cloud9:

Ugh! I hope you can steal away for some quiet time.

It was quite an unexpected turn of events! I sincerely hope we are not uprooted again!!

I know it will! It will likely take longer than any of us thought it might, though.

It's been pretty windy here lately- lots of cold coming through the Gorge that brought some nasty freezing rain last week. I can do without that!

There is a Trappist monestary not too far from here- I am thinking of going on a 3 day quitetude retreat soon- just for some complete quiet.

Do you guys all hate me?!?!?!

I am sooooooo sorry I have been MIA from this here TR!

I have had a small crisis in the TR department...which will be the subject of my C post...which will be up tomorrow rain or shine! No matter what! I am trying to include a couple of pictures...and such...and tomorrow will be my first night off in a week.

I can say that I am now typing on a new computer...and leave it at that for now. :rolleyes1

NEVER! We are excited for whatever you can post when you can- we know you are so busy with all your jobs and stuff!! We'll all be here waiting when you can :)

So.... pix of your new computer??!! :woohoo:

Liesa... beautiful pictures from the Studios! I like the guy down on one knee taking your picture!

Did you even ride on ride or was being a Diva too much fun? :lmao::lmao:

He was a very devoted "employee" of mine! Willing to bend over backwards almost as far as the CM at the bus stop- you just never know what Stardom will do for a person! :lmao:

I can say that being a Diva for a day had its advantages! I can fill you in on just what some of those were in the next installment! ;)

::yes:: In my top ten of all time. Maybe top five.

Ah, so that's the "ditch" you have been referring to on your PTR:idea:

That is too awesome for words. :scared1:

Oh wow. Well, just remember He has a plan! So stressfull, I know.

Wait, wait, I think I hear it! Ah, yes. VERY relaxing.:goodvibes

I"m simply too tired to multi-quote tonight...

PB (which does NOT stand for peanut butter) is a GREAT flick!! Who wouldn't love it??!

The Ditch is a must visit place! But more on that later.

I know- I need to be reminded of that every day- practically every minute- so THANKS!

Sure you don't want to venture out this way in march or April for the PNW DISMeet?? ;);):confused3

Love that you can see "your photographer" in the window - he's really getting into it too - getting down low to frame the shot just right!

Only the best for us Divas!! And that is only the tip of the iceberg!

Hey that looked like my "Hot Italian" in that movie truck!!!!:lmao::lmao:

Sho nuff might have been, Rosie!

They are always ready with a sexy, alluring smile.

LiesaDay1084-1.jpg
That reminds me of Jen's picture of Bubba riding Space Mountain!!! :rotfl2:
Every star needs a sleek and expensive set of wheels, and I quickly chose this one to show off my nice hot pink Crocs before finding the most exclusive place to stay at for a short time.
Oh those are Crocs??? I thought you just got carried away with the pink nail polish!!! :rolleyes1
Hey that looked like my "Hot Italian" in that movie truck!!!!:lmao::lmao:
Doesn't look like the guy I took pictures of for you Rosie. Could there be more than ONE of them???!!! :confused3

I love that your papparazo was able to get such wonderful shots, including some of himself! I can't wait to see your wardrobe, and how you enjoyed your accommodations!:goodvibes

Do you guys all hate me?!?!?!

I can say that I am now typing on a new computer...and leave it at that for now. :rolleyes1

We could never hate you! That stinks about needing a new computer! It is much better when those purchases are for fun and not because something crashed and burned!

Liesa - your update is awesome! What a clever way to tour/write about DHS! Some of the photos made my go - wait that's there! Shows how fast we fly by things to get an FP or whatever and miss the details. You are a diva for sure and after this move you deserve more diva treatment!

Good luck to Mike on Thursday and good luck unpacking!

Whatever turns you on Dan!!!! :thumbsup2 (but I prefer you had kept that little tidbit of info to yourself!)

I'm betting there were a few people in the front of the bus at Fort Wilderness that said that very same thing when the headlights caught you running across the road to the shower in your skivvies!!!

So...

For the past few months I have been organizing my photographs, writing small segments of the future Trip Report and basically getting my ducks in a row so that when Liesa started the Disney part of our journey, I would at least be a little ready.....

This last couple of weeks have been filled with the holidays, a hospital stay for Rachel, an ice storm and a Medicare audit at work...so I have been so busy! But Thursday night I had the evening set aside to work on getting my pictures sent over to Liesa so she could get her Photopass pics so she can use them for her TR portion...

I went to turn my computer on and it was dead...
No problems..I will just plug it in....

Then I saw this...

photo-93-1.jpg

Oh crap!! That cord is severed.... My computer is DEAD.

And my thoughts went like this...

My pictures!!!!

My trip notes?!?!?!

Oh crap!!!!

:scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1:

Leisa is going to KILL me!

:rotfl2:

I purchased this computer for Lauren (they paid for it, but I picked it out)...and she really likes it.

photo-86.jpg

So does her cat.

And I use a Mac at church, too (as part of the technical ministry, putting the words of the songs the screen)...so I decided I would get one, too!

So I am now the proud owner of my first Mac.

But...that puts me behind...I am so, so, so thankful to the wish families that shared their stories - including a few that lost their pictures - that encouraged me to back mine up! I recommend it to everyone! It saved me a bunch of money and a bunch of heartache!

My trip notes were in iTunes...so I still have those! And my pictures are safe and sound, too!! :) So...back to writing...D is next!

Sorry for the loss of your computer.....but congrats on the Mac! We've been a Mac household since the early 90s. I'm sure you'll like it

Liesa-loved the Hollywood Star update!!! I can't wait to hear all about your hotel stay. ;) You look fabulous! in your Mickey tye-dye and pink crocs! Work it!

I didn't realize you were in fact MOVED! I can't keep up! And your DH might have a job in Cali? Would you move again?

:rotfl2:

:lmao: I love your progression of thoughts! Hilarious! I'm so glad to hear you backed up your stuff - that is so wise. We've never lost anything, and always MEAN to back-up stuff right away, but we are usually a few months behind. Your story encourages me to do it more often!
