that is soooo tempting! But, I don't think I could pull if off...stupid
football.:headache: Mt. Hood is gorgeous..my uncle and aunt recently moved up there where she manages a resort hotel.

I'm going to add Wives and daughters to my netflix...it sounds like something I'd love!

Ah nutz! I know- all these activities and great, but they sure cut into sponteneity!!

they don't manage Timberline Lodge, do they?? :scared1:

I think you'd LOVE it! I'm pretty sure we've talked about period flicks before, and how much we all have the secret Elizabeth Bennet complex.

Have a great time camping! Hopefully your TR will stay fairly quiet since you will be away for the weekend and I can catch up on some other ones.

Ok my dishes are done. Now if we can just not eat until 3:30. :lmao:

The Daily Slog must be awful. My DH tried to take the bus or Max train whenever he could when we lived here, and it really worked well- esp. as we only had one car. We'll have to see what needs to happen once he gets a job. Guess it will depend on how far away that job ends up being. Regardless, unless he works in Washington State, there won't be any 70 MPH in his future. :upsidedow
It was in NY especially in the winter when the sun was down weeellllll before I got home from work and snow, yuck!!!! Here it's not so bad I can actually run home for lunch if I wanted, but I usually sit at my desk DISing. :rotfl:
We have nooo problems with any car situation. DH rebuilds them as a hobby so we usually have at a minimum 15.

Oh, that's the worst!! coming home in the dark really stinks!! Seems like you get home and your day is over. Work, eat and sleep, winter is. Blech!

My DH is pretty good with mechanical things and would take his car in as a last resort. He'd rather get greasy than spend any money.

I don't remember the name of it..but I don't think so. It's one of the smaller hotels.

Yes....I have a serious Elizabeth Bennet complex:rotfl2:

I think the only thing that I have going on different is my red hair and no puffy dress. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I figured it's only fair that I duck in here and check out your story. :goodvibes

And it looks amazing! I haven't read all of it yet, but I am very impressed. You are a terrific writer. And I have a great deal of admiration for the work you, your family and friends do/did.

Well!!! Looky here!!! A new victim to hara.... er, I mean welcome into the fold! Here's your token :welcome: , and here's your REAL

WELCOME!!!

It's a pleasure to have you here- you've now entered a riveting tale of outhouses, wheelchairs, and horse wieners. Of course, there's a whole lotta big fun here too.

Now, one caveat- we're going camping this weekend, and I need to get my own hiney off this chair and back to getting ready. BUT I promise I WILL hit your TR right away when I get back. (I DID just read about missing a chance that Disney had at yanking $72 right out of your ADR making fist- too bad about that wind. ) Just need to make it official and post...

And with that, I'm back to getting the tuna, Cheerios and steaks into the car.

Have a great weekend camping! Glad you are going to be gone for the DIS for a few days.... I have more catching up to do! :rotfl2:

Tim knows me from the DIS Dad's club. So yes, my reputation as a complete idiot precedes me. :joker:

And yes, I need to see this picture!

Not ALL dad's are complete idiots. ;)

The picture in question is on the last page of my TR if you want to see it (Tim is on the steps!).

Well, I should just get it out of the way and post it here too...

This was my prize from winning one of Liesa's contests way back in 2009....

It was a whip... not just any whip, a whip from Kazakhstan. Of course I had to try it out.. LOL

Now 'said picture will be delete in 36 hours.. so get a good look people!!!!!!

Camille, I am sorry!! I hadn't realized that you were the first to guess the right answer!! :flower3:

No! No! Don't be :hug:....I was just being a smart donkey about it and trying to be funny. It appears I failed miserably. :rotfl:

Oh my goodness!!!!!!!! I had to re-read your first few sentences because when you said he came in with an AK47 and shot around I immediately assumed there were deaths. PRAISE THE LORD that no one died! That is TRULY a miracle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How incredibly sad about that young man though. What a tragedy. How tortured in life he must have been to go to that extent. And his poor family and friends.

Many hugs to you in this difficult time. It's so hard to let go and out of your control. I don't look forward to those days! :hug:

It truly is a miracle!! And thank you for your sweet encouragement and kind words. I can say with confidence...I'm over it, I won't allow the enemy to keep ahold of me any longer than I can get away with. Fear is not what God has made us of, he gives us a spirit of power, love and a sound mind! :thumbsup2 When fear strikes we have to do what it takes to make sure it doesn't stay, I did that with Liesa by calling and having her pray over and for me. It's amazing what the power of prayer will do, and many believe that's exactly why this gunman wasn't sucessful. There are a great many who stand against with prayer over this city. It makes me mad I was even in fear about this to begin with, but at least it showed me where a weakness is and now I know what needs to be worked on. I'm greatful for that, it hate what it took to get me there, but greatful none the less.

I spend 0% of my day in a car. ;) I LOVE WALKING AND THE SUBWAY!!!! I don't miss that running around in the car here and there...ugh.

And just when you think you completed all your errands you realize you need one more thing at Target. :headache::headache::headache: Of course, that happens here too, but it's so much easier - anytime I go out I pass by the stores I need, so I can pick-it up easily anytime. Ahhhhh, I love it.

I'll get off my day dreaming now...! :laughing:

I'm seriously jealous!! I bet it's great for controlling weight too. I often drive down the main road out of our subdivision and wished we had more sidewalks and bike paths, we could walk more and bike more to places if we did. In Calif. where I lived in Irvine they have just that, walking/bike paths EVERYWHERE. I don't miss living in southern Calif. but I do miss all the great amenities of living there.

She didn't say if she wore her costume or not. She tweeted this morning that she is at GKTW.

As excited as she was when I talked with her yesterday I'm sure she did. :laughing:

Have a great time camping (something I've not done since I was 11 and won't do again :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:). Don't you hate when those alarms "don't go off."

Safe travels.

Ditto on both accounts! Have a great trip and it's not something I will ever do again if I don't have to. :laughing: I did this growing up in Colorado and I don't miss it one single bit! I do miss Colorado though :cloud9:, that's some serious God country for ya! I miss hiking there, I miss seeing the Mountains. :sad1:

I would love to live in a place where everything I needed is truly within walking distance.

Amen! Sounds like heaven to me. My daughter gets mad because I want to do a few things when out and about, I have to remind her I can't waste gas to do just one thing, it's just not smart.

I think you'd LOVE it! I'm pretty sure we've talked about period flicks before, and how much we all have the secret Elizabeth Bennet complex.

::yes:: To both. :)

Your's too! John loves to work on just about anything.

Ahem.

So many jokes could be said about that whip.

:rotfl::lmao::rotfl::lmao:

And I'm sure MANY have been said!

::yes:: Oh yeah.
