I only found it with looking for "mad tea party wdw sign wait times" on google pictures... and then it was on the second or third page. It was one of those things that are difficult to find on the web. And while I understand if you can't see it exactly the same way, isn't it great that some things are still elusive to internet research?? :goodvibes

Kinda funny (but maybe not in a good way) that you post that on the same day that I see a headline saying that 20 German cities are now on Street View.

:lmao:
I guess I was inspired by the fact that Katharina and I just spent the morning emailing us about what our houses looked like on Street View - which btw was incredibly criticized here in Germany.

What a day! Glad your FIL is okay...my dad's had his fair share of heart issues, so I know how scary it can be. And sorry to hear about the job, though it sounds like it might be for the best.

I hope you get some time to relax this weekend, to recuperate from such a stressful day!

Major bummer on the job! And I am so sorry for your bad day yesterday. I am so glad your FIL is ok!

Tell your DH Happy belated Birthday!

I miss you guys over here. Life has been crazy...but looks like it might settle down for a day or so. :) So maybe I can jump back on here again soon!

Glad your FIL is doing OK. I'm not sure I would of been too happy with him driving himself with a heart problem. He took you out to dinner tonight too? :scared1:

Once again I whiffed on the letter P. I guess I am just not cut out for this game. Maybe I just don't pay enough attention, which is totally possible when you are constantly keeping your eyes on a 4year old. :goodvibes

That's what I thought when he called us!! I mean what if he had had a full blown attack on the way there?? I'm just glad we live close enough to be with him in an hour or so if we need to be!!! IN fact, he may be a lot closer in the near future. We may be moving in with him within the next month or two.

That is entirely possible- she's too precious NOT to watch carefully!! I think dumb luck will get you point or two, though on the game.

Liesa, sounds like a crazy time for you! I know that you trust God to bring His will into everything. I'm sure the right position will come along for you.

Be diligent with the heart flutter. My grandma had that going on - they did lots of tests and never could figure it out - she died suddenly of a stroke.

18 yrs later, my dad has the same thing going on - lots of tests - yada yada He had as stroke! Guess what? If your heart is fast and slow, it can create clots and strokes. He has a pacemaker now and is on blood thinners. I can't help but think that Grandma could have lived alot longer - she was a spry 76 had someone been able to recognize what was going on.

Oh Shoot! I actually knew this one, but when I looked up the attraction sign, the font was different! Very sneaky, Ma'am!

Yikes!! I wonder if I should mention that? He will see a cardiologist next week- so that's some good followup.

I really am seriously thinking of going back to school to do some nurses training. It's always interested me, and it's good money. We'll see.

I am a little sneaky.... tee hee.

:jumping1:

Had to do a little celebratory dance! But to be honest, it was really pure luck that I got this letter. I think just as quite a few other people I discarded the Mad Tea Party after having found this picture of its sign:

tea1.jpg

But then I saw someone using the sign, which Liesa used, as their avatar... Still I am very happy for my point, thanks Liesa!

Luck is a totally OK way to score a point. If it were always based on research or inside knowledge or some other factor it wouldn't be as fun or fair. I like to try to mix it up sometimes so that I even the playing field a bit.

Congrats!!!

Good to hear that you have bit more clarity on how your live will move forward in the foreseeable future. And I can understand that this might not be the best time to have a new job besides all your entertaining and such. While I understand that people like to shop on Sundays, I think it is sad that you did not get the job because you had less flexibility with Sundays than others. Here in Germany shops are generally closed on Sundays and I think it is a good thing to give the people working there the chance to have one day totally off!

No, in hindsight, it really isn't a good time to have to devote time to working. THere is a lot going on right now, and I really should focus on the move, the kids, keeping groceries in the house, which I admit has not happened well around here lately.
:sad2:
I am actually surprised this place IS open on Sundays. It is a small neighborhood toy store. BUT, I guess our infatuation with stuff and consumerism won out... buy, buy, buy. :sad2: I actually had told her I was willing to work on Sundays, so I'm skeptical it was really for the reason she gave?? :confused3

Well, congrats to the smarties who got the letter "P". Your clues that weren't clues didn't throw me off, I knew pretty quickly that they didn't point to the answer, but I still couldn't find it. Even now, researching "Mad Tea Party sign" I can't find that particular sign. So, that's the way it goes...you live by web, you die by the web.

Sorry to hear about your father-in-law's trip to the ER, but glad he's doing better. And sorry about the job, but it's probably better to part ways now than to have issues over Sunday work later.

I knew you wouldn't be thrown off by those dummy clues. Not that you're a dummy- didn't mean to imply that at all. I knew you'd go asearchin'!! Alas, Magdalene lucked out with that avatar of someone else's. That's pure-de-luck.

You're right- Sundays ARE pretty important- especially since we are still having to visit various Bible Studies, churches and home groups on that day to give slide shows/ updates.

Liesa, you'll be in my prayers.

Thanks, TK!!! Sounds like he's fine- but is now telling us that he's had this before, and that if he just gave his chest a little "thump" it went away. :scared1:

I'm trying to get caught up, but wanted to say sorry to hear about your FIL's trip to the emergency room. Hope everything turns out to be okay.

I'm sure it will be fine- but then again, he is 80. I know lots of people live well beyond that, but with mom dying 10 months ago, it's been a rough year for him. Thanks for keeping him in your thoughts, Crissy!!

Hey, Liesa. I'm sorry to hear about your FIL's troubles (and by extension, yours), and I'm glad he's ok now. And sorry about the job, too, but maybe that'll be a blessing in disguise.

party:party:

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

:cool1::cool1::cool1:

I don't suck anymore! Or at least marginally less!

Yes, I imagine that is true... "All good things work for the best..."

I think our family will start to spend more and more time in Salem now. It's just seeming like the natural course that needs to be followed. The drawback, no regular internet out there. :scared1: I may have to hang out in Starbucks for the Wi-Fi. :rolleyes1

YES!!!! You did it!! WHich makes you have more points in my game than I can seem to muster in yours. Which really stinks. I"m going to start finding random quotes that COULD be movies quotes. :surfweb:

Liesa, I am so sorry to hear about all the drama you had yesterday. Glad your FIL is okay (the friend who lets us use his condo has been having heart problems and they did that exact same thing on him last Friday). How are the kids with the missing teeth doing?

Sorry you didn't get the job...but I know you weren't too disappointed about it.

Moving by the end of this year????

It was excessive drama. But dealable with. Hearts are funny organs. Fickle things, they are!

Kids are doing ok; making Zach's school lunch became an issue this morning when I couldn't find anything soft for him to take. :headache: I ended up cutting the crust off the ciabata bread and smearing PB and jelly on it. The go-gurt oughtta work great, but I'm not sure aobut he granola bar. It says its chewy, but with 2 open sockets, well... maybe not soft enough.

Nah, really it is fine. I"m acutally a bit relieved.

Yes, gradually now over the next few weeks I think.

Liesa,
Yikes! How much can one person take in the span of a day! I truly hope FIL is okay. I can't believe he actually took you guys out to dinner. That's one strong individual!

Sorry about the job, but I'm glad you're okay with it. Her loss, in my opinion.

It was a rather crummy day. In general. But Dad's fine (for now), and we ended the day at his favorite Chinese place, scored a window table with a GREAT view overlooking a city fountain/ waterfall, phenomenal food and free dessert becuase there was a funky piece of plastic in my eggroll. Like the plastic top of a spice bottle or something. I'm glad I didn't break my tooth!!

His doctor in the ER was from the Ivory Coast with a thick accent, and Dad LOVED him. He was so nice, and seemed to be really efficient and a good doctor. Dad has been to Togo twice, and they yacked it up some about West Africa. Fun in the ER.

Eventually it will be the right time for me to work, but now is clearly not it. I am a very patient person...

I was actually looking some more yesterday and I think I saw the Mad Tea Party sign you used for the "P" but the picture was at an angle and rather small, so I couldn't be sure. I was thinking "that P looks an awful lot like what I remember" and I started to change my answer, but I didn't go back and look at the one in your TR again to see for sure, and the clue that wasn't a clue helped talk me out of changing it. :sad2: I had seen the older version of the sign early on too when I originally ruled out the Mad Tea Party as a possibility. I guess that just means I'll be more determined when you finally post all those missing letters from earlier in the report...... :rolleyes1

Wow, so much going on!!!:scared1: Can't wait to hear all the details as everything unfolds. I'm guessing an extra 50 pages and 2 months added to the eventual length of your TR before you're done...... :rotfl2:

I remember that Germans were pretty in general against this sort of privacy invasion. To be honest, I"m not so excited about this either. Seems rather invasionary to me. :confused3 Maybe they'll catch me streaking by a window one day. :scared1: With the arm flab a waggin', they'll be sorry!!!!

I seriously thought that when the call came while we were on the freeway on the way down that they were going to tell us he had had a heart attack. Really with heart stuff, it can go either way so quickly!! THis time they had called to tell us that his shock thing worked like a charm. We were pleased- this time.

This weekend- hmmm...

Tonight, English Country Dancing

Tomorrow, hosting Bible study at our house.

Saturday, kid's Tae Kwon Do Belt tests and baking OR TKD tests then to Salem for Sat/Sun. to start decorating.

Sunday, sleep in and evening service.

Major bummer on the job! And I am so sorry for your bad day yesterday. I am so glad your FIL is ok!

I was wondering what in the world happened to you!!!! I was in fact, going to call to find out if everything was ok! I"m glad Dad is ok too; for Mike to lose BOTH parents in one year would be just too much!!

He got some new sheepskin slippers from us- he's a happy guy. :thumbsup2 The old ones were literally falling apart and he was threatening to duct tape them. :sad2: Seriously, duct tape??!!

I hope you get some rest!!! Can you tell us what Lisa decided about Lauren and surgery?? We want to know how to pray for her (and you!).

It was the Mad Tea Party?!?! :headache: Very sneaky, Liesa!

Ha!! When I posted it, I didn't even realize that it wasn't the "main" Tea Party sign! :rotfl2: And that you would all have such a wicked hard time with it! :lmao:

Well, well well. Looky who's here!!

I just told Tinkgurl that I hadn't even realized that it wasn't the REAL MHTP sign. :lmao: That's what tripped everyone up!! I really should be more careful with my clues - well, or non-clues, as the case may be.

Yes, I have Q ready to go, and may add another one from the missing files for ya'll to ruminate on.

Could even work itself into an extra thread. PTR went an almost full 3! I really thought this one might go one full one before I got to Disney.

I'm trying to come up with ideas about what I can do for my TR when the time comes. I was thinking about pictures of spoons in different locations in honor of Rosie, or possibly obscure out-of-the-way items/hidden Mickeys that people might recognize from earlier travels. Or maybe different Christmas trees/decorations that people have to guess where they are???? Hopefully I will think of something interesting before we go so I can make sure I get plenty of pictures.....:confused3

I'll try not to be as evil with it as some people though...... :rolleyes1

Ooohh, l likey the Christmas tree idea!! You will see soon that I took MANY hidden Mickey pix. I may actually do ok at that one! ANd I have Steve's book. :cool2:

as for spoons, you don't think security might have a hay day with them?? Just sayin'.....

Is that Baw-ston??
No, BAH-stun! :rotfl:

No, if they were going to have a HAY day, I would have to take pictures of FORKS instead........ :rolleyes1

You know, we would even read your TR without a contest!! :goodvibes But it really seems to be the theme of the season at the moment.

If You Had Wings had a bit of a quiz with the decorated trees in AK on her last year's December trip report. There are trees decorated for different characters and she had us guess which character's tree it was. That was fun!

But I think it would be funny if you would travel with a wooden spoon! You could even make a contest on your PTR for us to give it a name!! But then, what would your family say if you would start carrying a wooden spoon around with you and take pictures of it??? :rotfl:

Yes, privacy is a hot topic here, because it has been violated quite a lot in recent German history, not only by the Nazis, but also by the East German government which was spying on its citizens in a huge way!

Arm flab is WAYYYY too common these days. I think the dead giveaway would be if you've shaved your feet recently..... :lmao:
You know, we would even read your TR without a contest!! :goodvibes
I'm hoping in this case, all the pictures of decorations and Christmas trees will be enough to bring in the readers. :goodvibes

Probably nothing. They knew I was a nut looonnngggg before you guys ever figured it out!!! :rotfl2:

I'd love to stay and play some more, but the starving children are protesting once again. If they are not careful, I will serve fish eyeballs and worm guts.

The shopping deal is somewhat sweetened with a latte at Starbucks... Back later....

Ok, then PLEASE take a spoon - with a santa hat or mickey ears!!

Like others have flat people travelling with them!!
