REALLY!!?? 10K in 1;15? That is SO fast!! I imagine it'd take me about 1 hour and 35 to 40 minutes.

Unfortunately it is pretty slow in athletic standards and for some reason, here in Germany running a 10k is something mainly only true athletes do. So I expect to arrive as one of the last 50 of the 3000 people running... :confused3

I think for my running I"m going to have to start back at W 4 or so with the C25K Program. It'd been THAT long.

You will be surprised how easy it is to take up running again, once you "learned" how to do it! :thumbsup2

Here's the plan:

Zumba in Mondays
Lap swimming on Wednesdays
Track Running on Friday or Saturdays.

As with all things exercise related... we'll see...

Great plan! Zumba and swimming ought be really good cross training for your imagined arm-flab-issue ;)

See! THat' me. We''re trying to LEAVE people!! I guess w/o that stamp they assume you've been living illegally? It is so strange to me, even still, that you would have to even "register" when you arrive to a city, and then again if you move.

We have this register system as well (but only for real residents, not for visitors). It can be very useful, especially from a law-enforcement point of view.

I just called our best friends this morning, but my skype line was so bad, I could barely hold a conversation!! IT was VERY frustrating! We need to find a better solution, so I can hear them!

That's a shame, I hope you can find something better, soon! Perhaps there are calling cards that offer good rates?

Meantime, I just found out that a 2008 ROTC graduate of Western Kentucky UNiv. where my son is going, and is ALSO in ROTC, was killed in action in Afghanistan yesterday. It will be a VERY sobering reminder of the gravity of his decision to contract with the army as he and his cadre gives his fellow soldier a memorial service on Wednesday.

How sad. It must be hard for these young men to be aware of the danger they are in on a daily basis once they get out of university. I am not sure I could deal with that.

My DMIL taught me everything I know about canning- and I miss her beside me already! We'd do up peaches and pears by the dozens every year; and besides that she guided me through baking bread, sewing, and gardening! She was amazing!! Now it's my turn to teach my girls, and I'm loving every minute. Even little Anara got her turn and cranking the food mill for the apples yesterday. It's just something l love to do, but know that not everyone loves to be in the kitchen. I don't LOVE to be in the garden; I'll leave that to those who have green thumbs! :thumbsup2

It was VERY fun texting with you and Glenn, Cynthia and Marv!! I should go back someday, when I have more time, and see the responses to our live updates!!

You'll have to show me some time, maybe next year I can come out and you can show me the canning process. Your life really took a turn for the busier! I'm impressed by your ability to just jump in and start up where you left off (so to speak) AND THEN SOME! :thumbsup2
I considered doing a Zumba class after hearing about it from Cythia in her PTR, then I watched the videos of people doing it :scared: and decided I would skip it and get a video to do at home.....there comes a point in one's life when you start realizing there are only so many embarassing moments your willing to live out, for me this was not one of them! This isn't to say that it's silly to see others doing it, just me!

Mary! Buster is so cute!! :lovestruc
More importantly Lauren is beyond beautiful!! I think she gets prettier every time I see pictures of her! :goodvibes
That little kitten knew exactly who to connect with in order to stay in the house. I think it's pretty amazing to see how truly attatched this little kitty is to her.
Sorry I didn't get a chance to call you Monday evening, after dropping Mackie off I ended up at the Asian market to get a few things for Jordy and then on to Costco to get a few things for us. Mackie hates to shop so I try and get it done when she's not with me so I don't have to endure hearing about how much someone wants to go home during the entire process. It didn't leave much time for me to call you during our normal talk time. :)

:rotfl: You know I just thought of something.....Mackenzie hates to go shopping when at home, but you can't keep this child out of the stores in WDW! How funny is that?!? The place she should be staying out of the stores because of the amazing entertainment to be had and all she wants to do is shop. Go figure!

Hi Liesa! We just got home last night. I see that I have a LOT of catching up to do on your TR!

It was nice meeting you at Epcot!!

Even me?????? :woohoo:
Uh, you mean I'm not supposed to play to win when my kids are in the car with me? :confused3

Of course! Even you!

I always try to win against most any child I play...except I would probably let Lauren win...but she can't ride Toy Story, it's too jerky.

Good Morning All !Loved the video of Lauren and Buster !!!!!!Kyle FOUND a puppy and brought it home we had to find a home for her as she went into heat and we have 2 male dogs:scared1::scared1:

Gee I know someone else who was in the Dog house !!!Who could that have been !!!:lmao::lmao::lmao:NOT a Doghouse Marv ..in it !!!!:rotfl2:

Marv is in the dog house? I am missing some good drama somewhere......:rolleyes1

I will try to get some more video this afternoon. :) Yeah...I really hope we don't end up with MORE kittens...Lisa will go over the edge.

Oh my gosh is Buster cute! What a fun kitten, I love how he is trying to write/follow her pencil :goodvibes absolutely adorable! And wow does Lauren write fast!

Isn't he/she cute! I guess it is a he??

Lauren DOES write fast...the strange thing is she had never tried it before and one day this summer needed to do something and got frustrated waiting for her Dad to come help her write and just started writing and was already pretty fast. Like God just gifted her with the skill she needed to do it.

It is even legible! I told her she needs to give the doctor I work for some lessons. :rolleyes1

Maroo, Buster is adorable!! It is amazing how animals can bond with us. Our dog Ace has a very special bond with Bill, my cerebral palsy man. I am so sorry to hear that Lauren is having health issues . If you ever need someone to talk to please pm me.

Aw! We are doing fairly well! Each "issue" just creates a new problem to solve...but so far we have been able to solve most of them.

I am having an issue with her English teacher - who thinks after being at school all day, Lauren still has the energy to read 10 chapters in a book and answer 30 questions about it. Lauren is not coming close to finishing...but other than that, Lauren is doing well. Her little brother is still having a lot of issues - but hopefully those are finally being addressed too. Just crazy at their house. :sad2:

Wow - once in awhile we get a reality check. I'm so sorry to hear about Andrew's classmate. It was quite a wake up for me on 09/11 when my son who went into the Air Guard for college money had just returned from boot camp - hubby was made Active Duty, and BIL was working at the Pentagon - the world is suddenly upside down during war. :sad2: God has kept all the military members in our family safe - I'm sure he will protect Andrew too.

Wow...That is heavy stuff!!! I am so sorry and so glad that everyone has remained safe. Hopefully things are getting better for you guys.

Maroo, Lauren is so beautiful! Looks like she is coping well - love her strong attitude - and of course Buster is a cutie - guess Lauren needed a new friend!

She really copes the best of all of us! We could all learn a few things from her.
Lauren definitely needed this sweet kitten. Muffin used to sleep with her and sit beside her and such, but Muffin was usually with me - so that didn't work as well. Now she has her own little shadow. :)

I actually had no time to talk last night. I am spending the week with Rachel and her Mom, so we have been going out to eat and playing games at night and I have not had much down time (but it has all been great "up" time). :)

Lauren is beautiful! princess:

One more thing....

Lisa said I need to warn "ALL of my friends" that her anxiety and fury over the past couple of days has now resulted in a TROPICAL STORM bearing her name....

And that ALL people - on EVERY land mass should be on alert and purchasing extra food, batteries and gas. EVERYONE - she said - should be on the lookout. :lmao:

She said if she gets anywhere near land that EVERYONE should promptly evacuate. And that if they want to come stay with her at their house that they must bring their own food. :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

Oh...and if a college student wants to move in and help her take care of her house and family - she would pay their room and board. (That part, I don't think she was kidding about....)

She was cracking me up this morning.

Oh my...another story that made me teary....sigh...Lauren is beautiful and truly amazing the way she writes with her mouth! Buster is precious and I am so glad s/he found a wonderful home - looks like this was meant to be. :goodvibes

Leisa, I am very sorry to read of the death of the young man. Have they offered counseling at school? Many schools have grief counselors on hand when something like this happens.

My thoughts and heartfelt prayer are with his family and friends. Nothing can soften the shock and pain of the death of ones child except time...and that only softens the reality.

Super! The classy has shown up, and is ready to roll!! Thanks for being here, TK!

Dude! I'm classy? Wait until I tell my husband. :lmao:

Maroo, I know she's upset, but man is that kitten super cute. :goodvibes

You are so sweet. :) Lauren is a beautiful girl and 99% of the time is perfectly happy with life the way it is for her, which makes taking care of her so enjoyable. She is a great person to be around and is quite a trooper!

Dude! I'm classy? Wait until I tell my husband. :lmao:

Maroo, I know she's upset, but man is that kitten super cute. :goodvibes

Girl! You tell him that we know you are both classy and famous! :thumbsup2

Lisa really is fine with the cat now. I think she was just so mad at her husband for bringing it home. :rolleyes1 But she likes the cat and loves the way it makes Lauren smile. :cloud9:

Leisa, I have NO idea what you are talking about with cliffhangers. :rotfl2:

Maroo, that Buster is ADORABLE! I have an orange kitty myself so I'm a sucker for them. :lovestruc

Liesa - love the photos you added to your last update and love the Sound of Music reference!

Maroo - That Buster is about the cutest thing ever!!! Poor Muffin getting dethroned! Lauren and her family always amaze me with their strength in the face of adversity.

Mary- That video of lauren is amazing. That little puffball chasing the pencil is too funny!

I'm not a cat lover but that little guy is cute.

Love the new TR title! B is for Buster!! Lol

Girl! You tell him that we know you are both classy and famous! :thumbsup2

I'll be sure to do that. :rotfl2:

I'm so glad. :goodvibes The kitten looks so sweet with Lauren.

See, I knew I wouldn't be able to keep up!

Oh my goodness the cliffhanger! I hope everything worked out! That must have been super scary!

Maroo, the kitten is too cute and I love the video of him batting at Lauren's Pencil! So cute! I'm glad he found a good home!

Liesa -- Wow. Leaving Kazakhstan after so many years must have been unfathomably intense. My fingers are crossed that the missing stamp didn't cause too much hassle!

Mary -- That picture of Lauren sleeping with the kitten is beautiful! (Though personally, I could never turn down a dog who wanted to snuggle for a cat -- no matter how cute the cat was!)

Lauren and Buster make the perfect pair. I don't think anyone could have told them no.

WOOHOO!

I MADE IT IN ON PAGE 19 BABY!

Now that's what I'm talking about!

:woohoo:

Welcome Home Liesa!

I can't wait to hear all about your trip! Of course that goes without saying I suppose. Otherwise, I wouldn't log into a Disney World Discussion Forum and comment on a Trip Report. I've wandered. Ah, yes, the TR. Excellent start so far. Love the cliffhanger.

Caught some of the banter and it’s as entertaining as always.

Oh and Hi Maroo! Good to see you your installments too. Love the dual perspective thing. Sorry to hear your trip began stressfully, but happy to learn that it earned a coveted “Best Ever” award.

Well, settling in and ready to enjoy the show.

wow you have been busy here over the weekend, hope im excited for the next chapter to see what happens with the stamp
:yay:
