All caught up, Sad isn't it I know which restaurant you were giving examples from Raglan Road !!!!:rotfl2:.I keep meaning to try the Bangers and Mash , but something else always catches my eye !!

Good Morning My Peeples,

A couple of days of lecture, but hoping to get re-caught up again this afternoon. Starting Friday morning, I'll be going MIA until Wednesday Morning again. You know the drill..... A LOT of heavy stuff on this exam, reading irregular rhythms on an EKG strip, cardiac meds, the role of the RN in the ED, aneurysms.... fooooooocus Dudette.

:tinker: Here's some study, focus and test pixie dest!

Wow! Your thread took off since I read the update on my phone yesterday! I do so much reading from my phone but hate to comment when I'm on it, and then I get behind.

Artist Point sounds great! That's where I have chosen to celebrate my birthday this year, so I completely approve.

I think your fuzzy Disney math works out great for a "party of 3". We often do the same thing. Like just last week at Disneyland we got the Chicken Dinner at Plaza Inn, I ate the Chicken Thigh, she had the Chicken Breast, we took the drumstick home and we split the mashed potatoes, biscuit and green beans. I got a slice of Red Velvet cake and we were almost perfectly full, but stopped for ice cream on Main Street before going home. Shoot! I just gave away my update three updates from now on that thread! Oh well, there'll be pictures when I get around to posting that one.

It's not sad. I knew exactly which restaurant she was talking about too. OK, maybe we're both sad. :lmao:

Sorry for you DHS diehard fans, but the park just lacks any semblance of cohesiveness now and they've stripped most of what I loved there. And some I hadn't ever seen yet.

I'm thinking that until Star Wars and Toy Story Lands open, it's pretty much a half-day park. DHS was always troublesome just because they didn't have much for the entire family to do together. It was largely shows recapping movies you've already seen or thrill rides the smaller kids can't ride. Hopefully the new areas will address that.

6:30 will be Mommy and Daddy's hard-stop since we have a couples only date planned for the evening.

Ooh, hope it's someplace nice and fancy. Casey's Corner, perhaps?

I'm just getting going! Which reminds me of Vizzini.

Just remember: especially in AK, don't get involved in any land wars in Asia.

For some reason I had it in my head there were going to be 5 of you not 3. So with that, then yes, I think $150 a day would be good with no buffets tagged in and eating light breakfasts. I don't eat much either (had gastric bypass surgery 4 years ago) so DH and I always share with the kids for breakfast. We get 2 breakfast platters and we just eat what they don't. Works well that way. We actually don't usually stop for lunch... we just do a "snack" for lunch and then have a larger dinner but around 4-5ish instead of later. 2 meals a day works well for us.

It is nice that they have put these in place with the increasing need to use MDE in the parks. I bought a portable charger for our last trip, and it did work well, my only mistake is that I only bought 1. Having 2 smart phones and both DH and I on them to check wait times and fast passes, we were running out of juice quickly. 1 of us (aka: me because waiting in line for stuff with DH and no phone would have been misery) would have to forgo the charging and let our phone die because only 1 could be hooked up at a time. It was VERY nice to not be stuck at a charging station though!

So sorry it's taken a few days! I studying like a mad woman... because the heart can do so MANY weird things, and I need to know what that looks like on a wiggly line. :P

Anyhoooo..... The MDE thing will be very very new to me. It'll be interesting to see how that works out for us on the trip. LOL, I completely understand about no phone. But I also hear there are new fun things to do in many of the queues. I'm looking forward to seeing some of that. I assume it's a standard USB that we bring ourselves...?

Good luck with the studies and exam! May the focus be with you!:ewok:

Thanks! I am doing my best!

Oh if I change, the Bison meat has to be there in some way. He's gotten used to that idea and think it will be neat to text his bros and be like guess what I am eating?? BISON!!!!!

I'm starting to like mine as well. I need Ann to settle on a flight of Tuesday or Wednesday so I know what days to switch. I want to do our darker side trek while they aren't there yet or when she's doing the expo, so I don't miss time with her. Louisiana to Washington isn't an easy jump to visit!

The link is in my signature.. my phone just hates me to copy and paste! Oh technology.

Good luck on the upcoming week!

LOL! That's hilarious about the bison. It is standard fare here in the PNW, and is often on sale on Fridays at our local Safeway. But I do understand the novelty too.

Getting plans more nailed down is thrilling! And fun to see your itinerary gel too! I think nailing flights down is a GIGANTIC leap forward, and makes a lot feel so much more "for sure" when you plunk down the money.

I will try my best to get there as soon as possible. There is a TON of memorizing on this next test, so I need to really focus there, but promise, will get there soon.
I'll take 2 of those shifts :rotfl2:

Alright you 2 Smart Aleks. AM TO PM. Sheesh. ;)

Nope, just shows that you obsess over menus just like the rest of us. It's sad that I have pretty much "planned" out some meals 9 months ahead a trip to Florida. :lmao:

:tinker: Here's some study, focus and test pixie dest!

Thanks, I am sure going to need it! :faint:

I know! And just when I need to go dark for a bit. pixiedust: But I LOVE that everyone feels welcome to use this place as a Happy Playground while I pop in and out. Gives me fun little mini-breaks for long, massive study days. :teacher:

Artist Point sounds great! That's where I have chosen to celebrate my birthday this year, so I completely approve.

 It's a beautiful place, and I'm excited to try it finally! You have chosen WELL!!!!

As far as I know, Disney has not cut back on their obscene portion sizes. (Except Skippers Canteen- where portions are coming up FAR too short, I hear) Great for splitting- I mean...whatcha gonna do, haul a leftover dinner around the park all day? Nope, best to order just enough and finish it all. (And don't worry about the spoiler! I am still going to do my very best to read it in all its glory when you publish it!)

It's not sad. I knew exactly which restaurant she was talking about too. OK, maybe we're both sad. :lmao:

Then we make a fine threesome! :lmao:

I 100% agree! It was pretty geared towards the older set, which was fine- we just avoided it. I hope they solve the problem, and it sounds like they will, and get back to the business of an enjoyable park for everyone. Until then, nah.

Ooh, hope it's someplace nice and fancy. Casey's Corner, perhaps?

Fancy schmancy or hot doggy, it's all good to me. I mean afterall, it IS in a Disney Park. How much more dreamy is there?

Just remember: especially in AK, don't get involved in any land wars in Asia.

:rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

Yeah, we totally skipped DHS on our last trip. My only regret is that means I still haven't seen Fantasmic or ridden Toy Story Mania. But those two weren't worth adding a day of tickets or hoppers, not when we were also doing Universal! On our first trip we managed to spend most of a day there by watching Jedi Training about 4 times! (Ds got picked the second time, but then he wanted to watch again! )

Trying to get caught up a little around here during a snow/sleet/ice day................

So many great comments and fun discussion points! Hopefully during a study break tomorrow I can hop on here and reply- and give a warm and proper welcome to @Chrystmasangel !

Today I have to work- and am dedicating this shift to a special surprise "something" on my bucket list for the trip.

Guesses????????

GO!!
That's an issue one................meeting the infamous Marv!!! :rolleyes1

Nap, then replies. Worked from 1:15- 1:30. And I'm sleepy.
What 15 minutes of work and you're tired? :rolleyes1
Beat me to it............lol

Hopefully, I won't be changing any diapers during our trip either. However, lately I am feeling my age. I never know what's going to happen anymore when I sneeze.
TMI.........TMI!!!

Congrats on all the fine nursing work, and all the successful test scores! :yay::teeth:

Finally caught up again! Stupid work expecting me to do work! oh well, 46 days until vacation!

You're so right; 2 rides is definitely not worth adding PHs for. I adore Art Deco and like to see that style done right, but yeah.... Not a lot to see.

Last trip we rode TSMM 6 times in a row. It was a blast! We had the Volunteer Passes- the only thing that made it doable.

Trying to get caught up a little around here during a snow/sleet/ice day...

Stay safe, Friend!!! May your Doritos last and fire burn bright.

I hope it's not an issue!!

:P

I know. Work- silly expectations. LOL!!

Good morning! How exciting that you have a celebrity connection for F&W. Hope it works out for you!

I have always felt DHS was a half day park, too. Mostly because the organization or lack thereof makes me weary. But the last two trips we have had a great time there with Ryan so I have a new attitude. It stinks that they have the tier system on the FP there. Getting RNRC and TSMM at the same time ain't happenin. Trying to get TSMM at RD is still a stampede, but the line moves slowly. We did FP for that at 10 or so and hustled over to RNRC and TOT at RD.
I guess one of these days I will actually get to that day in my TR. Flu season at work and hiring and training 4 out of 6 in the past couple of months has left me too tired to address it. Hopefully things are settling down. We have big news so I need to get over there and share!

And he looks down at my arm" And there is blood...GUSHING down my arm onto the floor in the middle of a crowded subway train...gah!!

I scream "NOOOOO, don't make me be the cause of a subway delay...I will be ok until the next stop!!!"

Making a puddle og blood and you worry about a train delay....:rotfl2:

I did have blood taken once and found myself at my car with blood running down my arm because I was quick on the pressure and just didn't wait.

I am so sure a pregnant woman with a gushing arm would cause medic to be called- I would call just to be safe. I am glad it was nothing really but that can be scary.

Liesa- I will say a 1/2 day at DHs sounds about right and to save the FP+ for later is probably a good move.
AP or CG ... I have done CG and enjoyed itbut I can see AP as well.

Hope date night and your cardiac chapter now go well. You got the beat ....:rotfl2:
