Hi: I want to try the 7 dwarfs mine ride, but i am prone to motion sickness. Anyone else prone to motion sickness have any problems with this ride. Thunder mountain made me very sick.

Deb.

If BTMRR made you sick it is "possible" SDMT could make you feel a "touch" sick.

I agree. I actually think 7DMT has a drop or two that has a more intense, swooping feeling than BTMRR, so I would skip it. That being said, I rode it with people who get motion sickness on simulators such as Star Tours, and they were fine.

I find it quite a bit smoother than Thunder Mountain, so I would think motion sickness would be not as bad. But still a possibility, because you are still rising and falling a lot.

I can ride RNR and EE, but BTMRR does me in. I ride 7DMT one time an I take Bonine. It's the quick turns that make me sick. The tamer the coaster, the more trouble I have because those seem to have a lot of turns rather than drops, loops, etc.

I suffer from motion sickness and skipped space on this trip as it is too bumpy but i found the mine train to be very smooth.

I think you may be fine on 7DMT. It is much smoother than Big Thunder, and I don't think it goes as fast either. It also has some slower parts and some faster parts, so you aren't whipping around the whole time.

The ride is really fast, but it's also short. I don't remember any big drops or anything too jerky.

I get motion sick but not severely. Star Tours makes me sick but Big Thunder doesn't. The very first time I rode 7DMT, I felt fleetingly motion sick. After that, knowing what to expect, I rode it multiple times with no motion issues whatsoever. FWIW, the cars in the front of the train swing less than those in the back.

The cars swinging while it moves along the track can create problems for some and did for a few in our party. We only rode it once and several said that they were glad not to have another FP+ for the ride as it made them queasy.

I get sick on splash, but mine train was a blast! I do better on it in daylight versus nighttime, but can handle it at night, too. Give it a try!

My dad ended up with vertigo. But he is 70 and usually does not ride any thing even remotely thrilling. He takes bonine just for the plane ride. Im not sure where is sat, i want to say in the middle.

Just an experience but when I ride in the back I'm fine not in the front tho

I really don't get motion sickness and as the previous posters pointed out, this is a very subjected topic. I know I feel a little off after riding aggressively spiny rides, so I take meclizine, you can get otc, o think one of the brand names is bonnie. I cut the 12.5mg pill in half and can tolerate those rides. Just a thought

I have horrible motion sickness and didn't experience any problems on 7DMT. I do get a little sick on BTMRR because it is a little jerky and the less smooth drops, but 7DMT is so smooth it didn't cause any sickness for me.

I experience motion sickness quite a bit; in fact, I can get sick in a pool! I always take a bonine in the morning when we go to any theme park. Big Thunder and 7DMT are similar in scope. I love BTMRR, and although it doesn't make me motion sick, I always have a moment of oogieness when I first get off the ride, but it passes quickly (like by the time I've walked back out by the entrance). I'd never ride twice in a row, though- no sense in tempting fate! When I rode 7DMT, I thought I was going to be fine. The ride was almost over, and we were stopped outside the Dwarve's Cottage. Suddenly, I was overwhelmed with vertigo and nausea. It was awful! I barely made it off the ride, and had to stop while exiting to regain my perspective. My DD found a place for me to sit, and I bet it took a good 20 minutes until I felt well enough to walk around again. Even then, I skipped our next attraction (Pooh) because I still didn't feel 100% :tilt: (and remember, that's with having taken 1 Bonine every morning for 3 days). The only ride I find worse than 7DMT is the Barnstormer- that ate me alive! (and NO, I have never tried the Tea Cups. :crazy2: Let's not be silly here!)

I can get seasick in our pool. I did okay the one time I rode SDMT. I felt a bit off, but was mostly fine. I later learned that the back car is the roughest ride, and that's what we were in. I'd try to sit closer to the front.

A few dips might make you queasy for a second, but my 4 year old is prone to motion sickness. My 7 year old can get motion sick a bit too, but she thought Barnstormer was worse. 7DMT is a fun ride if you decide to do it.

There was one spot that I think would have made me queasy if not for the Dramamine. Much better for me than BTMR. I tak a low drowsiness Dramamine and I'm good to go!
