Would anyone be able to tell me what the YC Club level promos are?? Would they be available for the last week in August (8/29-9/7) - we're currently booked in a standard at the YC.

Thanks!

35%off club level rooms. If you go to the Disney world website, just click on special offers.

We booked with a pin in May at BC standard view for our trip on 10/24. We wanted YC b/c we stayed in 2006 and loved it but it was not available at the time. I called again today b/c I saw on this thread that the refurb will be done by our visit and I suspected more rooms opened up. They did and now I don't know what to do!

My dilemma is that a full balcony is a TOP priority for us. YC seems to have more of these than BC. On the other hand, it doesn't appear as though the resorts will be very full for our dates so my request for a full balcony at BC could very well be granted. Booking a water view exceeds our budget so we are sticking with a standard view and I've read on here that both resorts have equally good/bad standard views.

What should we do? We know we enjoyed YC and we got lucky with an upgrade to a quiet pool view last time after we requested a room change. Our room was one of those with a shared "balcony" that is actually just a giant roof. But maybe we'd fall in love with BC and get our request for a full balcony.

I'm rambling now - sorry. Thanks for any advice you may have!!

hmmm...seems like a "bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush" scenario to me...:confused3 You wanted YC, but settled for BC...now YC is available and has the guarenteed full balcony that you want....seem pretty obvious to me what the "right" answer is.....is there a reason why you are waffling?

I know, I know. My hesitation is the possibility that we would get our requested full balcony and end up really liking the BC. Seems silly really since they are essentially the same resort but so many people on here seem to love BC. I think this is just a classic case of overthinking it. Thanks for the grounded response.

I haven't seen too much posted about it here, but BC CL is closed for renovations. We were moved to BWI Innkeeper's Club last week because of the renovations at BC CL.

Does anyone know what the typical hours for SAB in January are like? I'm waffling betwen Poly and BC for our winter trip, and since we do swim even in January (I have really cute pics from last year's trip of my kids swimming at WL in front of lifeguards in hats & gloves!) the pool is a big factor.

Also, how common is a first floor request? It seems like I see a lot of people post about requesting a high floor; am I likely to get a request for the ground floor simply because most people don't want those rooms? We had a ground floor room near the pool at WL and it was fabulous. I'd love to have the same on our next trip, but just because of the layout of the resorts, it seems like it might be easier to get a first floor request filled at Poly.

I never seem to have a problem with a 1st floor room request. I did request and get that at BC and it was a great location, steps from the door leading out to the quiet pool and the closest wing to Epcot. It was confusing on the inside to find our way back to the lobby though with all of the hallways we needed to go down. That's not a complaint though, just letting you know. I loved our location :)

We were on the fourth floor on the Epcot end on our stay there, and had the same issue with all the hallways! :rotfl: I would love to be exactly where we were before, right near the quiet pool, but on the ground floor.

We are coming in next Friday 8/28 :banana::banana:

Can anyone post Aug and Sept schedule?

Many thanks!

Anyone know if the business center is open on Sundays? If so, what are the hours? We need to pop in on the Sunday to do our online checkin and print our boarding passes for our return flight...

Not sure if it is open on sunday but the concierge did it for us last year.

We're not staying club level...will they print boarding passes at the main guest services as well? It's our first time staying at BC, so I'm unfamiliar with who does what there...

We didn't stay club level either - you can just walk up to the concierge & ask. They seem to do it all the time and don't mind at all. So helpful & friendly :)

Just wanted to say thank you for this thread, I haven't read all the posts but the ones I have read are very informative.

We've just booked two nights at the Yacht Club for the end of December as a special treat. I am so excited, we will be able to see in New Year at Epcot and walk back to our room!

Also, it will be our first-ever stay on Disney property! :yay:

That was funny to read :rotfl: We stayed at WL last year in December and swam one evening while the lifeguards were all bundled up. Made me feel almost as though we were back home in MN

Just returned from an awesome 3 nt stay at YC. Had booked std room and requested a refurbed room. We were upgraded to a waterview room (looked out on SAB and the lake!) and got the refurbed room as well! The new rooms are lovely. New carpet, new bedding, daybed has a different cover and pillows. Loved it all.:flower3:

I hope we get to be that lucky, when we booked there was only standard views left, I would hate to be looking out on a roof for 14 days.

We're Michigan born & bred. Cold in FL isn't cold by our standards! :rotfl: My youngest is the worst; right now it is 68* and windy as heck, and she spent the morning in her baby pool!

Of course the flip side of that is that warm in FL is miserably hot to us, at least to DH, our oldest, and our youngest. We had a couple days in the low 90s here and it made me glad we postponed our trip from Sept to Jan because the baby was just miserable and crabby all day in the heat. I'm pretty sure January weather will be more to her liking.
