Well, this is my last night before the trip. :banana:I probably will not sleep. The board has been so helpful, and I wanted to say thanks. I cant wait to meet you Teena :) you make magic :wizard: for so many of us:goodvibes.

You guy's are all so responsive to my q's. I had posted some stuff on the disney restaurant board but did not get any replies.:surfweb: At this point it really does not matter but I am probably not going to sleep much tonight and will be needing something to check.:rotfl2:

1-has anyone eaten at Spoodles for dinner since the buffet?
2- does the Liberty Tree Tavern serve Birch Beer during lunch? (I know they have it at dinner)

thanks:)

You arrive Tuesday, right? I'll be working and can't wait to meet you!! Have a safe trip here!
Haven't eaten lately in Spoodles.
And sorry, don't know about the Birch Beer for lunch at Liberty Tree.

we are going to get there some time late monday afternoon. My DD is going to check-in in the morning before we get there. She is staying at Patterson so its a long trip on the bus but she is determined to arrive ASAP. Anyway, If we miss you tomorrow afternoon, we will see you on tuesday. We will be there until Sunday.

Thanks so much for the info. Makes me feel much better. May have 3 or 4(they will be 18 by then) girls traveleing to help celebrate just wanted to make sure of the room set up. Looks like we will have extra adutls staying in each room since they will be adults by then.:jumping1:

You can request adjoining rooms but they are not guaranteed. It usually helps if you make a reservation for two rooms under the same reservation and put "adjoining rooms" as your request versus making two separate reservations, one for each room.

Thanks for the advice will make a note of this info to remind me when i make the ressies.:thumbsup2 I usually call my resevations in so hopefully all will go well whenever we book.

Are any of the Epcot facing Studio and 1 Bedroom units adjoining on the 4th or 5th floors on BCV?

The diagram at Parkinfotogo.com appears to suggest that there are indeed Epcot facing 1 Bedroom units which connect with Studios on both the 4th and 5th floors. However, when I went to place my reservation I was told that these units are reserved for 2 Bdrms.

Really? Cause a 1 Bdrm unit adjoining with a Studio is not, in my mind, a 2Bdrm unit.

I could see if they ran out of 2 Bdrms, but in the normal course is it true that they only give out the adjoining Studios and 1 Bdrm units as 2 Bdrms?:confused3

Bear in mind, I am viewing with much skepticism this agent's accuracy. First off, when I mentioned my request of Epcot facing, I was informed that there was no view of Epcot as any view was "entirely blocked" by the "globe". Really? You mean Spaceship Earth? Cause if I was able to see that I really doubt I would be straining to catch the view of the trams behind it loading people on at the end of the night...LOL! Of course I didn't let on that I had already seen the views from a number of rooms from the Parkinfotogo site!;)

The BCV is very small and yes, most of the studios next to one bedroom units are connected to make a two bedroom. There just aren't that many dedicated two bedroom units. You can certainly make a reservation for a one bedroom and a studio and ask that they be close together. Doubtful you will get them with a door connecting them though as those are sold as two bedroom units. You could just reserve a two bedroom unit and when you book the reservation, you can ask for one of those units (one bedroom connected to a studio) versus a dedicated two bedroom.

As far as Epcot views, my favorites are from the fourth and fifth floor and some you can see Spaceship Earth but have the huge back of the building which is Soarin in your view too. Then there are other rooms where you can see parts of Epcot but the views are indeed blocked some by trees and other buildings.

Captain's Grille has made some exciting menu changes for dinner - see below. Additionally, small changes were also made to breakfast and lunch menus.

Alaskan Snow Crab legs have been added to the menu!!
They also added a "Prix Fixe" menu offering. With this offering a Guest may order an appetizer, entrée, and dessert from a selected list of Chef's favorites for $27.99. WOW!
And their Market Fish is Rainbow Trout served with Ancient Grains and garnished with an Olive Tapanade.
I understand they also have exciting new dessert offerings.

We ate at Captain's Grille 3 times on our last trip. there was never a wait to eat and the food & service was EXCELLENT

Have you guys had breakfast there?

We will be arriving on Sunday for our first stay at the Beach Club. We have previously stayed only at AKL, so we are excited about the BC and it's location, as well as the pool.

Can my dd12 bring her own water noodle for use in the pool? We'll rent a tube if we need to, but she would like to bring her noodle.

Thanks!:)

We've had breakfast at Captain's Grille a number of times. We enjoy it. It's nice to have the option of a la carte or a buffet (non character).

cdotla, to DVC a one BR connecting to a studio is indeed a 2 bedroom villa. In DVC speak it is a 2 BR lockoff.

Yes you can bring your own pool noodel. The rest of your vacations will be ruined....comparing them to your Beach Club experience.

The buffet and character meals start to really get expensive, we are going to try the B&C breakfast too! Does anyone know if it inside or just the take out portion of the restaraunt?

We are now within our 10 day window for online checkin :woohoo:, but I am still wrestling with whether to do it or not. Does anyone have any experience with this at the Beach Club? Specifically, room requests and online checkin. Do they seem to acknowledge them if you do online checkin? Thanks so much for your help.

I will be doing the Online Check in later this week. From what I understand it speeds things up for you when you arrive. I don't think you can make any room requests when you do online check in.

Hi! We have our 1st stay at beach club (or any deluxe) coming up and I had a question... are the doors magnetic like the ones at the mods and are we allowed to put magnets on them? We arrive on the 28th of this month and my son turns 5 this thurs so we will be celebrating his birthday while we are there. we will also be celebrating DH's birthday as his birthday was on 7/6. I thought if I put some sort of happy birthday magnet on the door it would make it easier for the kids to recognize our room. Is this OK to do?
I am so excited about staying at BC as staying at an EPcot resort has always been my dream!!! I know my kids will be psyched too when I show them the pics, especially of SAB as this is still a surprise and havent told them yet. OH MY 2 WEEKS UNTIL I GET TO BEACH CLUB :yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:

thinking of changing resssie to the Yacht Club, does anyone know if the rooms will be completed with refurbs by Nov 8th. I know the Beach Club has refurbed rooms, so if they are not complete I would think aobut staying there.:)
