Only 18 more days :cool1:

Looking forward to getting out of here :cold: even if we end up with the 60'
s there it will be a lot better! Now to just get the family healthy

DH and I were just talking about this same thing this morning. Come on July.:hyper: Most likely the kids will be off tomorrow. In our area anyway. We always seem to get hit hard. Boy I can't wait for the summer time to get here. I don't like the snow.

Our school district has already closed for tomorrow! Back to the grocery store - that's done. I'm living vicariously through this thread and the YC/BC picture thread.

After staring at the map on Disney Zone, LOL, I am wondering if the 6th room isn't 4691. Same size as 3691 but with a standing balcony; the 6th unknown room would have only a standing balcony from the "3 have full, 2 have standing and 1 patio" info posted elsewhere in this thread. (Can you say "obsessed"?)

We just stayed in 4691 at the beach club - had access to the 5th floor lounge. I dont know how to post pics but if someone wants to pm me I'll email them. We had 4 views - 2 doors with step out balconies and 2 windows. It was great! Lots of space!!

Oh WOW, I was right about the room number of the elusive 6th deluxe room! :-) Sounds so lovely and light-filled that lack of full balcony wouldn't matter. I would love to see the pics, PMing you.

I just checked our school district and nothing yet. We will get the 5:30 am phone call. DH already went to the store so that's all done. Boy, now I really can't wait until July. Come on come on already.

Here on Long Island we just got a phone call a while ago about schools being closed tomorrow....I really can't wait until May. Hoping everyone stays safe with this nasty weather on the way and keep warm ;)

Our schools are closed, too. I went to the store and bought all sorts of fun food - mini hot dogs, slice n bake cookies, cheese fondue. I'm happy that I don't have to be at work tomorrow so I can have a fun snow day!

But I'd rather be in Florida!!!

Amanda

My daughter's school is closed but the college I attend is still open:confused3
I think it is one of the only schools in the state that isn't closed. Only a little over an hour for them to change their minds.

It's only suppose to be a high of 58 today here at WDW if that makes you all feel better. We're heading in to have breakfast at Cat Cora's. I've been hearing every day from guests that the pancake over there is to die for. So, I'm checking it out.

Sounds yummy! Enjoy!

Can't wait to hear how Cat Cora's is for breakfast. We have an ADR there for one of our mornings in July. July, July - those words sound so good! We're expecting blizzard winds this afternoon so 58 is sounding pretty balmy about now! Teena - you remember those winters in PA right?

Have fun!

We just returned from a trip to BCV. We had a wonderful trip! We are now stuck at home with all of this snow. One good thing - my DD only missed 1 day of school last week during our trip.

Teena - I really enjoyed meeting and talking with you (1/30 and 1/31). I was the one that talked with you on Sat. morning when we were checking into our 2 bedroom villa. I also saw you on Sat. afternoon with my 2 sleeping DS after the day at HS. Thank you so much for your hospitality!! We have stayed at many resorts (WL, Poly, OKW, and Cont), but my husband, children, and I agree we have finally found our home at the Beach Club! I will download the picture that I took of you and my DD soon.
Thank you again for everything!

Even though we had a wonderful trip to Disney, things went downhill on our trip home. My mother fell at a rest area about 30-40 minutes north of Disney, and she broke her hip. She had surgery the next day, and today she is supposed to be released from the hospital and check - in to a rehabilitation center. She will be there for a couple of weeks. To top it off - my father was driving to do laundry for them and had a car wreck last night!! Thankfully he is fine, but their new car had to be towed. So, my parents are having an extended trip to central Florida! All my mother keeps saying is - She is so glad that her fall happened at the end of our wonderful trip to Disney!

jennybell, sorry to hear about your mom and the car accident as well. What a bad string of luck.:sad1: I hope she mends quickly. :wizard:

So glad you've found your favorite resort.:cloud9: Isn't BCV great? What view did you have and which floor were you on?

TeenaS, add me to the list eagerly awaiting your review of Cat Cora's breakfast. See you real soon!

DisneyMomx7, you're on the ball. I haven't made any dining reservations for the second week of our upcoming trip nor for May. :scared1: You already have July set!:surfweb: Way to go.:thumbsup2

Yes, I had all my ducks in a row until a few minutes ago!

We were doing a standard (maybe waterview) room with deluxe dining. Now the new summer rate discount just came out on the WDW website. 35% off- room only extended until August 4.

Right now we are paying $340 for a standard room. We can switch to the deluxe club room (DH's all time favorite room) and give up the dining plan. The rate for the deluxe club room is only $304.

Decisions, decisions. We haven't gone without a dining plan in years, but I'm seriously considering it now. Plus I love the pictures of the new BC lounge. I had myself all set, and thought I would book BC CL for our October trip. Now I don't know what to do.

Teena - any suggestions?

Of course if the AP rates come out that hopefully are as good I would definitely go with the BC deluxe room and add on the regular DDP.

I've never found the dining plans to be a good deal for our family. It always seems like too much food. Of course we have the Table in Wonderland card (20% off table service meals), and that works well for us.

Personally, I would book the BC CL and then wait for an AP rate to add on the dining plan. If rates don't come out, you still have the BC CL (lower cost) and will probably come out ahead paying for food out of pocket.

...never heard of it -My head must be in the clouds - do tell more, please!

Cat Cora is a celebrity chef who opened a restaurant in the space previously occupied by Spoodle's on the Boardwalk. From my understanding the food has a greek flair. I could be wrong, however.

So excited, just had to post. :dance3::dance3: We just received the 40% off pin from Disney which i added to our reservation in Sept at BC and saved almost $1100.:banana: Now we just have to wait 7 months to get there. :)

I sure do remember those winters in PA and even though it was only around 53 today here, the sun is out and it's beautiful! The pancake was wonderful. Bob wants to go back once a week for it!
