Yippee - Skippee! We decided to change to the BC Deluxe CL room since the discount rates were extended. Guess what - when I called I had a 40% pin code! I always say I NEVER get a pin code and here was one just sitting there!

Yay! That's awesome, Robyn!! :goodvibes

So we booked a room only to get the discount. I gave up the Deluxe Dining Plan to get the deluxe room! We'll have the TIW card so that will help. Half the time my girls order from the kids menu anyway!

I'm so EXCITED!!!!! We loved the deluxe room and the BC CL lounge looks so nice since it was renovated. I think it was calling to me after I saw the pictures on all ears.

Now I'm going to hope that we get the same room we had last year. Which is really funny since we were disappointed when we originally got the ground floor deluxe room (fear of snakes). It was so convenient though - right next to the quiet pool and a hop, skip and a jump to EPCOT.

Now I can dream about our room and forget about the snow!

I"ll do the :woohoo::yay::banana::dance3: for you. That's wonderful. Getting that 40% pin code is fabulous isn't it.:flower3:

Well I guess everyone knows how much we loved the BC Deluxe CL room last year! I feel like we won the lottery! We've never gotten a code so this was really a surprise. The regular price of the room is $540 a night for our time frame and we got is for $324!

I asked DH which would you rather do - BC standard room with deluxe dining or BC Deluxe CL room with no dining and paying oop for our meals. He didn't even hesitate - he said book the Deluxe Room now before they are all gone!

Actually I think it will all even out with dining anyway. We have the TIW card, and since the girls are now 11 and 12 we had to get them the adult meals on the dining plan. The majority of the time they order off the kids menu anyway. So we're keeping all our ts dinners - just doing a few breakfasts - and mostly cs lunches.

I'm like that commercial - I'm too excited to sleep and it's still 5 months away!

We are hoping to book a studio villa. We have 2 little boys and the most important thing to us is to be close to the SAG pool. Which villa(s) is the closest??? After a long day in the parks our 2 year old will not want to "hike" to the pool and restaurants!
Thanks...

I am SO happy for you Robyn. I've never rec'd a pin either. I thought it was because we were so good at getting discounts on our own;) I'm wondering if I should call & check too. I'm using a ton of DVC points this trip.

Call - I couldn't believe it - never got an email pin, never got a postcard pin. The funny thing is my 82 year old mother, who came with us 2 years ago for our Grand Gathering has received about 6 pin codes since then!

Are you going in the summer because the extended discoumts are pretty good too!

Thanks to Teena and all of you who responded about RAC. It figures we have flown Jet Blue for the past 4 years, but decided to give SW a whirl because the airport is literally 5 miles from our house and we can park there for free. So instead of paying the car service $120 each way to take us to and from JFK we are saving that money by flying SW. Oh well, we will just pack light...maybe just carry ons :confused3 so we don't have to stand in that horribly long line to check luggage at MCO on the return flight. Now to just convince DD not to bring every pair of flip flops and sandals she owns....:lmao:

For some reason we have always been unable to use RAC, even though we've been flying JetBlue. Something about the apostrophe in our names or something, so we haven't even tried the last few times.

We spent an hour at the RAC at BC in 2007, trying to check in. The person tried a number of times, picked up the phone and put it down a couple of times like she can't decide to call someone, called JetBlue, got told to try again, still didn't work, so finally we just parked our luggage at the BC and came back to get it. We did finally get to see Art during our delay though after missing him all week, so it worked out :)

Got to MCO, and they said we were already checked in, and had 3 bags each...we had 2 total.

Tried at SSR in 2008, same problems, although they took our bags anyways and they did make it back :) But they were expecting us to hand over bags at the counter, so that scared me a bit.

We gave up. :) Unfortunately, MCO is a DISASTER at the JetBlue checkin counters now.

I fly from Orlando to Vegas to visit my daughter about every six weeks and I always fly Southwest because I take two large suitcases plus my carry-on. I take loads of stuff out to the kids every trip. Yes, the lines are normally long but they move so fast. I've never been in the line longer than 20 minutes. To be able to check two large bags for free is so worth it and you'll be at the airport real early anyway because the DME bus picks you up about 3 hours before the flight. You'll be there at the airport anyway waiting to get on the plane, you might as well stand in the line. Even when I come home, sometimes the line in Vegas at Southwest is wrapped half way around the airport and it really really moves fast.

Oh decisions. They have 35% off on deluxe right on the web site. BWI deluxe concierge is $450. I'm using 58 points per night to stay on the villa side. So I have to decide whether I want us all in 1 room with concierge or the 2 brm & use the points.

Sorry to go OT everyone. I know this is the BC thread but I feel more at home here:lovestruc

K&C, we almost always use the stairs at YC or BC. Only oddity is that the BC stairs often come out in weird places (like on a lawn instead of a walkway). But you can use them to get to the ground floor. It can be fun to explore (and wonder what the architect was thinking when placing the stairwells).

The "worst" BC standard views are of the entrance, but even those aren't so bad. I can't think of a view where you'd be looking at backstage trash areas. (Maybe we've been super lucky to never have that view.) There's a ton of standard view rooms facing Epcot, which mostly amounts to a woods view. You can also go back to the desk and ask for another room if you do not like the view -- and if they have open rooms, they will switch you. (As Teena always says, they want you to be happy!)

Unfortunately, adjoining rooms is not a given. We've always been granted that request, but I know some others have not. Have you considered a 1-Bdr at the BC Villas?

Thanks for the reassurance. I did look into the BC villas but they are full for our dates according to Disney UK. I could book them through the US system but then we would not get free dining and the special ticket prices that is on offer in the UK.
So I will just stick with 2 rooms at the BC and hope we get ground floor rooms.

One of my favorite Dissers,Java, stayed at BWI Deluxe CL room the last two summers and she loved it! Hope that helps. The deluxe rooms are pretty big. I know we love the deluxe room at BC - and CL really comes in handy!

I have little kids so I like the privacy of more than one room. But I've never stayed in deluxe concierge so maybe I'm really missing out! ;)

Thank you Robyn. We have stayed in the BWI Deluxe cl before. I asked DH last night if he wanted to change the ressie and his first question was "all six of us in one room?" when I told him yes we decided to stick with the 2 BRM. My 4 children are all teens now so we kind of like to spread out & get away from eachother when we get back from the parks;)

I just wanted to tell anyone who was thinking of staying at BC or YC CL what a super IPO staff they have. Last year they were super. I just got off the phone with one of the nicest cms from IPO. I actually had made most of our ADRs myself before we switched to the deluxe CL room. I just needed some spa appointments and some kids club ADRs. She was so friendly and sweet.

I had told her how much we loved our room last year and "requested" the same room for this trip. Of course we know a request is just that - a request, but she was super nice about it saying how she would note the request and put a little note in there about how we were returning guests and had stayed in the room last year.

I just felt really glad we decided to go back to CL - super friendly cms at the BC and YC and super friendly and helpful IPO cms.

Hi - We are a family of four who just returned from the Poly CL Lagoon view and had a great stay. Next time we want to try a different resort and since our kids are 12 and 8 we will probably spend more time at Epcot. My question is what is the difference between BC/Cl and Deluxe? What are the views? And is it a long walk to the lounge from the Deluxe rooms which are not on the 5th floor. Any information is helpful. We really do not mind to walk but just curious and also my kids are at that age when we can send them up for a drink, cookie, etc by themselves. Thanks again!

Just an FYI, BWI shares the same IPO as YC/BC so if you are staying at BWI, you will get the same great group!! they are FANTASTIC...

I didn't know they shared the same IPO - no wonder I heard great things about BWI IPO too!

BC has three different groups of CL rooms - GV CL, Deluxe CL, and LV CL.
GV and LV CL are both on the fifth floor. LV view are obviously of the lagoon, gv views can be anything from a beautiful courtyard to a view of the roof. There are 6 deluxe CL rooms. Deluxe CL rooms are not on the 5th floor but have access to the 5th floor lounge. They are about 150 ft. larger than a regular room. 4 of the deluxe rooms (1557, 2557, 3557 and 4557) have a view of the quiet pool. Some also have a window facing Crescent Lake. 1557 is a patio, 2557 and 4557 have extra large balconies, and 3557 has a standing room only balcony. 3691 has both a large balcony and a standing room only balcony with views of Crescent Lake. I belive 4691 has standing room only balconies with a view of Crescent Lake.

If you need to know anything else (or if I got any of this wrong) Teena will definitely know the answers. She is the awesome greeter at BC and is not only a wealth of knowledge about everything BC, she is extremely helping in giving information and helping to find out anything we need to know!

Thanks so much. The rooms that have the standing room balcony is there just one or more than one. How far away to the lounge? Epcot? Thanks again.

I can't help you with how many standing room balconies there are.

It was a pretty decent walk to the lounge. What we did was get ready in the morning then head up to the lounge and left for the parks from there. In the afternoon the kids would want to go up and get some cookies and drinks before we went to the pool. Some nights we would have appetizers before a later dinner reservations and some nights we would come up for dessert if we had an early dinner reservation.

The rooms 1557 through 4557 are really close to the IG at EPCOT. Not sure about the other two.

Teena - looks like we need your expertise!
