We had a great BC CL gardenview room. It overlooked a courtyard near the volleyball nets. I know what Teena means though - we post what a nice gv room we had and then lots of people who read the boards get the dreaded "parking lot/roof" gv rooms and throw a fit.

It would be nice if the resorts would categorize - standard, gv. pool view, lagoon view etc. I imagine the cms would appreciate it too!

You said it. We would love it if you could book different categories like that and add on king bed too. It would be awesome to be able to book and pay for what you want. It's very difficult the way it is now.

Can someone tell me what is the difference between the Yacht Club and the Beach Club because the Yacht Club is £518 more than the Beach club. So I have booked 14 nights in August with the deluxe dining plan. BTW what is the EARmails service? Also why are the only options mr, mrs and ms? I really don't like being addressed as ms its miss PaulaSB12 not ms.

I mentioned this in another recent thread, but I wish you could book a full balcony category. I'd pay a little more to make sure I didn't get a standing balcony. I don't think it's much different than the bunkbeds at AKL and WL which used to be by request only and now are bookable.

I booked a Lagoon View Club Level at the BC today. Does that mean I will definitely be on the 5th floor, or could I be on another floor? Just wondering if the 5th floor is something I need to request. TIA.

You'll be on the fifth floor.

Teena S. my sister and I will be staying in a Deluxe CL room at BC for the first time the first of Dec, we are really excited, my question is I have been reading where there are only six Deluxe CL rooms at BC is this correct? If so what floors and views do they have and do they have full balcony's? I am sorry if this has been asked before, I just like to have all my ducks in a row for my request for a room, and with this being a new resort I have no idea what to expect. Thank you so much for the help.

ok, I am really having a hard time deciding which resort to go to...
I'm trying to gather as much info as I can! So forgive me if I start to drive you all crazy with one question after another! :scared:

Here's what we are hoping for:
CL- view is not a big concern
Kid-friendly with fun theming
Proximity to parks is KEY! We will most likely spend alot of time at MK and Epcot

We are leaning towards BC or Poly :thumbsup2

I love the fact that Poly has the monorail, but I'm hearing alot of reports about the rooms being rundown. BC looks very nice, but I'm concerned about proximity to MK.

Could someone please tell me how easy it is to get to the MK, and any other reasons why I should choose BC over Poly?

Thanks! :)

Hi Teena. Thank you for all of your help in answering my previous questions, but I do have another one, which is important. We are arriving in Orlando at 9:45 am on Saturday 5/22, and I know check in is not until 3:00 or 4:00 in the afternoon. However, DD wants to play in SAB even though we can't get into our room. How does that work? I thought you need room keys to gain access to SAB and since we probably won't have them at that time what should we do so we can enjoy SAB for the day? As always thanks in advance for your reply:)

I'm not Teena but I'll try to help you. We stayed in a BC Deluxe CL room last summer and loved it! Here's what I learned from trying to research it before we left. As I understand it there are 6 Deluxe CL rooms. 1557 (the room we had), 2557, 3557, 4557, 3691 and one other one that I'm not sure of the room number. 1557 obviously had a patio. We loved this room. Steps away from the quiet pool and IG and lots of windows. One window faced Crescent Lake others were foliage and quiet pool. 2557 - right above with extra large balcony, 3557 - standing room only balcony, 4557 - extra large balcony, 3691 I believe has one extra large balcony and one standing room only balcony.

HTH!

Could you tell me a bit about the lounge offerings? Is there a menu anywhere on this site I can check out? Also, what sort of adult beverages did they offer?

Thanks!

I'm not Teena, but I think I can help you. When you check in they should give you your KTTW card (room keys). They will not be active to get into your room if your room is not ready, but you will be able to use them to enter SAB. Just bring a change of clothes in a smaller bag to make things easier. HTH. Have a great trip.

You'll be on the fifth floor.

Thanks Teena. We've stayed at the BC a ton of times, but this is only our second time at the CL. Hope to meet you on our trip 5/27/10 for 3 nights.

You can check in at anytime. You do not have to wait for the 3:00 pm check-in time ... that is just the time when your room should be ready by.

Get there, check in, get your keys, enjoy the pool. They can text or call your cell phone when the room is ready.

Thanks UKwildcat and Mickey&Minnie Mom you have given me the answer I was hoping for :woohoo:

Here's what they had in July:

Breakfast: croissants, bagels, muffins, cut up fruit, strawberries, cereal, coffee, juice

Afternoon snacks: cookies (chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, and mickey shaped sugar cookies) gummy worms, homemade chips with dip, soda, lemonade, water

Appetizers: crab ragoons, bacon wrapped scallops, chicken on stick, mini eggrolls, potstickers, cheese and crackers, veg. and dip, hummus and small pita breads, soda, lemonade, etc.

Late offerings: lots of mini desserts (such as mini key lime pie, mini cheese cakes, mini chocolate mousse), cookies

Adults offerings: beer, wine and cordials.

I may have forgotten a few things but those are what I remember.

HTH.

After staring at the map on Disney Zone, LOL, I am wondering if the 6th room isn't 4691. Same size as 3691 but with a standing balcony; the 6th unknown room would have only a standing balcony from the "3 have full, 2 have standing and 1 patio" info posted elsewhere in this thread. (Can you say "obsessed"?)

Thank you so much that helps alot, I know you said that 1557 was your room and you really liked it, but if you could request one of these rooms which would you choose? I am torn between 2nd, 3rd, & 4th floors, I was going to make a request for a room on one of these floors but not sure which one. And can I ask a dumb question? What does HTH mean?

I have added 12 pictures to the following Flickr account. I don't want to post them on the thread, since they take up so much room, but they are available for public viewing at:

If the website address gets distorted, the title is "Disney's Beach Club Concierge Lounge" and the id is 30822357@N08/?saved=1

Hope this works!

Please note that the photos are from July, before the remodel to the BC concierge lounge.

Unfortunately, we were never around in the early evening for appetizer offerings so I don't have any pictures of those, but from what I have read, they sound SPECTACULAR! Ignore the first photo- that is the scallop dish from Le Cellier.

We had the dining plan, and spent most of our time in the parks, but we found the breakfast in the lounge particularly helpful- since there are limited counter service options near the Beach Club, it was great to sit and have some fruit, cereal, pastries, juice and COFFEE to start our day.

There were also a couple of times that we brought a lunch back from one of the EPCOT restaurants or Hurricane Hannahs and it was nice putting the food on real plates, and adding beverages or a sweet treat from the lounge.

My husband and I are not really drinkers, but we did enjoy taking a glass of Amaretto back to our room one evening- we went out on our balcony overlooking the lobby entrance during an amazing lightning storm.
