Great, will check out that website!

I've done the pricing on the assumption the 40% PIN-code I've received will work for the one-bedroom. If not, it's an easy decision of course. ;)

I would call & ask. I do not think they are allowing the 40% off pin for the suites.

You sure are op top of things, really appreciate it! Have you got any experience with the pullout they use at the BCV? Even through CRO it's over $1200,- less than 2 standard view rooms. With that difference, maybe it's worth reconsidering decoration??

Our family of 5 stayed in a 1 bedroom last year. My 2 DS's slept on the pullout and were very comfortable. You could put together a grocery delivery for drinks & snacks in the villa

Sounds good. Guess tonight mom and me will be do some serious talking and pictures looking and making some decisions.

Van anybody tell me about the lay out of the one-bedroom CL at BC? I've been searching all over for a map or pics, but no succes yet.

The reason I'm asking; I just found out my mom has decided to join me for this trip. OK, nice, but now need to look at the sleeping arrangements. Both of us find it important to have our own sleepingspace since both of us have got quite different sleeping routines (mom turns in early, me late. Mom gets up early, me late).

Option 1; get 2 standard view rooms. Plus; 2 bathrooms, both have our own space. Would come to a total of $3618 for both rooms for the week.

Option 2; get a one-bedroom CL. This would give us both our own sleepingspace and enough room to live. Plus; CL access. My energy is limited, so it would be a nice little extra to have the lounge handy for some snacks and drinks, not having to go out in the more busy places. The room would come to a total of $3118.80.

We could do nice things with the $500,- option 2 could save. However, there are a couple of things I'm not sure about yet.

Am I correct that the one-bedrooms at BC come with a fold out in the living area? How comfortable is this fold out? I'm a bit apprehensive about this as both mom and me need a proper sleep. I'll be needing one with a roll in shower, but doubt this will make a real difference as the standard room with roll in shower also comes with 2 queen beds like non-HA rooms.

Where are the one-bedrooms within the BC? Are they scattered around or all on the fifth floor?

Which option would you pick and why?

(PS; I know I could rent points for a stay at the BCV, but neither like the decoration of BCV, so decided it will be the BC)

The one bedroom suite has a room with a king bed, then a tiny little sitting room off of that with a daybed (I personally wouldn't want to sleep on it for a week but it's fine for a kid) and a normal room size bathroom right next to the sitting room and then a hallway with a walk-in closet. The rooms are like our deluxe rooms ... scattered over the resort and all on the first, second, third and fourth floors. Also like the deluxe rooms, all have nice views and a variety as far as patio, standing balcony and full balcony. You get key access to the lounge on the fifth floor. None of the one bedroom suites have handicap bathrooms.

If it were my Mom and me and I definitely wanted club level lounge access and concierge services and I wanted a little more room, I'd go with the deluxe room (two queens and a daybed) or two standard view club level rooms on the fifth floor (but beware your view could be a roof or parking lot). It would be nice to each have your own bathroom for sure. But at least with the deluxe room, both of you would have a good bed to sleep in.

If money wasn't an option, I'd go with two water view CL rooms.

Remember, plenty of people would probably disagree with my opinion ... this is just that, it's my opinion. Only you and your mom can decide what works for you. I traveled with my mom before she passed away and we always shared one hotel room. It wasn't ever a problem because we never spent much time in the room ... only to sleep and shower. We were out and about all the time.

Teena- This is WAY off topic, but did Santa bring you a digital camera for Christmas? I think you know how I feel about photo memories

On my last trip, the person who had "around 1800" in the "How many raw photos will Dee snap on her Disney trip" was the winner. Hope to break my record in July!

Can't wait to say hello to you!

No Santa did not. I guess I wasn't a very good girl. Maybe next year. BUT I DID GET THE DISNEY DOONEY BOURKE BAG!!!!!

I have some pics:

We are an RCI exchange, so we'll probably get the 1 Q, 1 sofa in the second bedroom. Our other 2-br unit will have my brother, his wife and their 5 yo DS, and then one adult couple. Sounds like my parents are better off staying with them, as there will be a free bedroom anyway. I was only thinking about this so hard because it is likely that my parents will stay with us the first night, as the other unit has a check-in date the day after ours, and I was thinking it might be easier not to move them. But for the long haul I think they'd be better off in the other unit. My cousin and DH can fit there as well - they can sleep on either living room sofa bed without going over the max unit number - but if they sleep in the other unit, then there will be 3 different families vying for the 2 bathrooms, whereas in our unit there will just be two. Maybe my cousin will float between the 2 - a couple of nights with us and a couple of nights in the other unit, so that none of us has to share our living room space for the whole trip.

Perhaps your parents could take the master bedroom. You'd have a separate bathroom for your family. Then you would be able to put the children to sleep in the 2nd BR and have the living room available for adults.

We will be at BCV in Feb. and I was wondering if anyone knows how the pool area works. Does everyone in your room need a bracelet or is it just the kids. I have read on here that some check for bracelets and some don't. We will have others kids coming with us and one of them hates to wear anything around his wrist.

When we have stayed at BC everyone (including the children) had to show they rooms key and wear a bracelet.

In our experience, when they are using the bracelets everyone needs them as jjohnson said. So if the child just doesn't care for things around his wrist, I would just tell him that's the price of swimming at SAB.

However, if the child truly can't stand it you might be able to talk to the guard about it. I'm thinking a child on the autism spectrum or that kind of thing. Some kids really have tactile issues and WDW is great about understanding special needs.

Of course, you would still need to present his room key to get into SAB.

We will be arriving at BC in mid July. It will be me, DH, DS 18, DS's15 (twins). In 2007 we stayed in the Fort Wilderness Cabins where sleeping arrangements and space was not an issue. We don't plan to spend a great deal of time in the room, we also have free DDP so I have opted for a standard room rather than CL. Can anyone give me some advise on where the biggest standard rooms are located (if there are any) and whether my DS18 will get a decent night's sleep on the day bed.
Thanks.

There are two daybeds at the BC. If you get a room with one of the new daybeds in it, he will be absolutely fine. If you get one with the old daybed in it, he will not sleep well at all! Since the rack (what the front desk looks at when they pull up a specific room) does not say whether the room has one of the old ones or a new one in it, there is no way of telling you ahead of time that you have a room with that daybed in it. Even if you request a room with one of the new daybeds in it, there is no way for the room assignor to know which room has which in it. Worse case scenario would be to call the front desk after you get into the room and if it's an old daybed, ask for a rollaway to be sent up to the room. They stand straight up when not in use so therefore don't take up alot of room when not in use and they would sleep an adult fine. Some rooms are larger than others but in mid-July, requesting a certain room number isn't going to help you ... the chances of those few rooms being vacant on the day you check in is a super long shot. Also, I don't know if they have the new or old daybeds in them. You'd be better off in a smaller room with the new daybed in it than a larger one with an old daybed in it.

We decided to gow with the deluxe room advice. Saves some money, yet more room in the room and a lounge to retreat to. We do tend to spend quite some time at the resort and in the room, me taking regular breaks to rest. So being able to get some own room would be nice for the both of us. The BCV one bedroom went out of the window, due to the fold out.

Just called to see if I could chance the reservation, but unfortunately. No deluxe HA room available. Wasn't totally clear if those room(s?? know there are very little of these rooms to begin with, let alone the HA ones) is/was simply booked or no HA deluxe rooms to begin with. Guess I'll keep checking back on it in some time and if not; back to the drawing board.

Thanks for the advise Teena, that makes a great deal of sense and is exactly what I shall do. Just one more thing- what is the difference between the old and the new daybed? This might sound like a silly question, but how will I know which one I have?

The one new looks more like a sofa to me and your son will easily fit on it. The old one has a wooden frame with a thin cushion on it and your son will not fit on it. If anybody has pictures, maybe they can post them. I believe all the rooms on the fifth floor (club level) have the new ones in it so if you see a picture of a newly renovated room on the fifth floor, that's the new one.
