Archuletta is just so cute ya wanna squeeze him 'til he stops breathing. Am I the only one finding him extremely annoying?
Does American Idol have a Juniors competition?
And for cryin' out loud, Fox must have one sorry list of songs to choose from. Neil Sedaka?!?! Moon River?!?!
And the Aussie's gonna be known as a one trick pony if he keeps singing "Light My Fire."

I was pretty shocked with Moon River! There were some great songs in the 60's! Weird song choices last night mostly...

My votes last night went to Michael Johns, Jason Castro, David Cook and Robbie.

I guess David Archuletta is cute for a kid, but I dont do cute.
The one thing about him that bugs me is he is so breathy when he sings and speaks. I kept hearing a wheezing noise when he took his breathes (singing and talking).
Since he is not my favorite-I am sure he will go far. That always happens to me.

When Danny N. was on, my husband (who doesnt watch the show) said "Why is Jessica Alba on American Idol?"
My kids thought he was too emo and kinda creepy looking.
For me, the Leif Garrett look-a-like really scared me

My kids walked in at seperate times when the Leif look-a-like was on and both said "I thought it was boys only tonight"

I found him to be incredibly immature. It really isn't a good idea to spew your attitude toward Simon on the first night. Even if he had the best voice ever, the attitude would do him in. Can't stand him.

I hope we see better from the women tonight because overall I am not impressed by the men. Last year's group was so much better.

I'm really surprised that VFTW is sponsoring Danny. I thought that Garrett CLEARLY did the worst last night. I see him as another Sanjaya, where week after week we keep wondering when the heck he's going home because he can't live up to the other performances. I cannot believe he made it to the top 24.

I didn't understand why the judges were so hard on Colton. I thought he did a great job.

And Jason Castro...loved his song but those dreadlocks gross me out.

Overall, I thought the guys picked bad songs.

Jennasis, I agree about Amy. Every time I saw her she looked bored. I can see her getting old REAL fast.

I liked Michael Johns the most, but my mind just might be clouded by the fact that he's gorgeous. I then liked "dreads" and then I guess David A., I'm not sure I totally get all the hype about him though. There isn't anyone in the group that I hope goes home, but my bets are that Chacheesie and Garrett will be on the unemployment line on Friday.

Did anyone else notice Nurse AMy looking moody, sullen, bored and disinterested all night? At one point everybpdy stood to clap during a song and she looked at them, sighed and then stood up and half-heartedly tapped her hands together with the beat. I don't think I saw her smile all night.

I noticed that too but I wonder if she wasn't just uncomfortable. Didn't she say she had several broken ribs from the car accident? I can't imagine sitting there for all that time with that type of injury. OUCH!

PS - Yeah, I am SO ready for Little Miss Diva to be GONE. I;ve found that usually the biggest stars can have the most down-to-earth attitudes. I think with Miss Danny it's a case of "little talent and big ego". Someone hand me an aspirin and some earplugs...

I wish we could vote Randy off...He is SO annoying. I wish he would stop talking with his freakin' hands, it's rediculous. Man, YEEEuh, Yeeuh, man you worked it out, man yeeuh. Dude, it was a little pitchy for ME, but you rocked, man yeeuh. Good lookin out good lookin out.

And Paula must have someone speaking for her in an earpeace...She can't form a complete sentence, she kind of stops like she's looking for the right word and it's hardly ever coherent. Her and Randy need to grow up and just let Simon talk. Haven't they learned that it's rude to interrupt??

Must Ryan stress that 'THIS...is AmERican Idol'? It seems like it hurts him to say it with that much emphasis.

That has been driving me crazy for the past few seasons. Simon doesn't interrupt their comments...he may roll his eyes, but he doesn't interrupt. I get so angry at Paula...she will step all over Simon's comments if she doesn't agree with them (as if she had anything coherent to say!).

I agree with a lot of you guys! Here's my thoughts on last night's show:

David Cook - I can't get past the fact that he reminds me of Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Chikizie - just ridiculous.

Luke Menard - too bad the music drowned him out. I actually love the theme from Midnight Cowboy. He looked cute though.

Jason Castro - he does look like Vinnie Barbarino, only with turds on his head.

Michael Johns - I thought he was ok, but I agree w/ Simon that he has star quality.

David Archuleta - I love that he was so giddy, like he truly appreciates being there right now. I hope this kid wins it.

I watched the performances on Rickey.org, and I don't feel bad anymore, I didn't miss much! What was with all the nasty songs? I thought until the top 12, they could pick what they wanted to sing. I can't imagine that they all wanted to pick such old, boring songs. And some of them were butchered pretty badly. Tomorrow has to be better!

And, I'm already getting sick of the "most talented season yet'. Really, do they have to say that every show, multiple times?

And, am I the only one who keeps thinking of Chris Harrison and "the most dramatic rose ceremony yet" every time I hear it. It wasn't bad enough on The Bachelor, now the curse of the over-dramatic cliche line has to contaminate AI?

Exactly...He disagrees with them alot, but he waits until his turn to speak to say it. They don't interrupt when he's saying something good, only when he has critisicm. I like hearing what Simon has to say, he could be nicer about it sometimes, but at least he's honest.
