The 2008 American Idol Thread.....

Do you give nicknames to the contestants? My boys watch and kept telling me about Cruella and Dead-dreds so I watched last night to figure out who they mean. Granted I haven't heard them sing much but whoa, those are some good nicknames. I usually get more interested when they're down to about 8 of them - then I can remember their names.

BTW, someone mentioned they don't sing with their hair and I have to say that's a really good thing because - YIKES!!

Aww, Happy BD to David! I really like him. His voice mooooves me. It's funny that people have commented on his facial expressions. To me it's just him really getting into the song. So many of the kids just don't have a clue of what they're singing about. As in *cough* Carrie *cough* Underwood *cough*

I've still got David A as my number 1 but David H is close behind.

I was pretty pleased with the results. I knew Jason Y would be going. I was kind of surprised at Robbie, but glad Luke will be back at least one more week because he is easy on the eyes

I am not surprised at all that Alexandrea was booted out. I am glad Amanda will be there at least one more week. I think she could do good at 80s week if she picks the right song and tones down the hair.

Poor Alaina --- she is just a KID and it really showed last night. I felt bad for her though. She does seem sweet enough but she just never really proved any real good talent.

I really wish Kady would have been shown the door before Alaina though. She is such a SNOT! I can not stand eye rolling and she seems to do that all the time. It drives me nuts. Hopefully next week she will be given the boot.

I think we will see a showdown with the men this year. I think the last two standing will be David A and Michael Johns. David A because he is good and the tweens just love him and Michael Johns because he is HOT and SEXY.

Tonights vote offs were pretty good- only way it could have been better is if that sleezy david cook was gone- hopefully next week!!!

This guy gives me the creeps, like I wouldn't want my DD alone in a room with him creeps.

I TOTALLY AGREE. She has a nice voice but she also has a BAD ATTITUDE. Her mom is just as bad too. Hope she goes next week!

Totally OT: The other problem with working Thursday nights is that I miss the best show on tv in Lost. Gotta catch up with it online on Fridays. This season has been great so far...the best yet, I think.

Yet another thing that we totally agree on. It kills me because no one I know watches it. I have no one to discuss it with in person so on Fridays I feel like I'm going to burst.

OT: Totally with you on Lost... this season is AWESOME. I DVR it every week and my son is putting this season on a DVD for me WITHOUT commls!! Man, it's great to be 15 and know how to do those kind of things!
