We drove and pulled in a day earlier than we expected. We were able to walk in and get a room for that night. We simply didn't unpack our car until the next day when we were able to get into our regular room.

Did you pack rack rate or did you get a discount on the room?

In order to avoid paying luggage fees we just going to pack for carry-on.

In order to avoid all the small 3oz bottles of creams and toothpaste what does POFQ provide:confused:

I have had good luck ordering from www.minimus.biz They specialize in travel size items. They have all sorts of food items too like a huge selection of single serve cereals. They have free shipping for an order over $20 so I just ship right to the resort. They are on the west coast so if your ticker is correct you would have to order soon.

The selection at the gift ship at POFQ will be limited and expensive.

Hi!

Can anyone tell me what is available for breakfast at the food court besides beignets? I looked on allears and it has lunch and dinner items and the beignets but does not say if you can get bagels, fruit, waffles, etc. I know we can walk over to Riverside but I am still wanting to know. Thanks.

Oh my...you can get pretty much anything! Waffles, omelets, bacon, sausage, breakfast sandwiches, croissants, fruit, scrambled eggs, ....I can't remember it all, lol!!

I'm almost afraid to ask this.... but is my family the only one that doesn't like the beignets? We actually threw ours away. :duck:

Oh, good! I could personally eat the begneits (sp) every day, but not the rest of my family.

I was checking Garden Grocer's website- does anyone know of any grocery delivery sites that deliver alcohol? It doesn't look like they do.

I was wondering about this to so I call GardenGrocer.com @ 866-855-4350.

They said they would be more the happy to pick up our spirits if we made a minimum purchace of $40 (+12 Fee). All we had to do was to send Fax/Email our ID with an existing order #, delivery time, and your spirit wish list. They would contact you with the cost and confirmation.

They have everything available for breakfast, dont' worry.

I like the beignets, but I can only have them once per stay.

What time do the entertainers in Scat Cats play? We won't be there until pretty late and are wondering if they will still be in the club when we get there?

Are they supposed to be tough and chewey? Ours had a texture similar to jerky. I was expecting something more Krispy Kreme like. :confused3

I totally agree. Ours were tough and chewy and gross. We all had a bite. Not worth the extra calories.

They are NOT supposed to be tough and chewy. Sounds like the grease they were cooked in was not hot enough.

Or they did not eat them fresh...you can't "keep" beignets for later. The longer they sit, the tougher they get. We found this out the hard way when we thought we'd save ourselves a few minutes extra sleep in the morning by getting an order of beignets late one night to save for breakfast the next day. Bad choice (we did eat most of them anyway, tough as shoe leather!...totally addicted, obviously!:rotfl: )

We're staying at POP in September (starting Labor Day weekend) to celebrate my birthday (splurge trip courtesy of Free Dining & price of Value resort.) I'm really looking forward to going to Dis a 2nd time this year (never done that before!) but a part of me has this dream that we get there to check in and they offer us a free upgrade to POFQ...I'm wishing for pixie dust!

look how man days for me but I have to add 2 days driving and 2 days Universal Studios, so I will be checking in in 11 days. see you there

Hi Reidtgang, we'll be there in 10 days too! 5 teenage girls, me, my sis and the Disney Granny...that would be my mom who lives in Orlando. We've been to Disney a lot. We haven't stayed at POFQ in a while. Mostly remember the short walks to everything at the resort!! Getting excited. Keep ckecking plans we've made and second-guessing myself!
