just had toe surgury. will be healed quite well, but still have foot issues. which location at the resort would be best for me? i like quiet pools and closeness to the laundry too. dont mind a stroll to the food, but what about busses. are they close enough by>?

any helpfull hints welcome.

also, what is your fav at the food courts or the restaurant?

Ask for Building 5, as near to the laundry as possible. It's also a quick walk to the food court and buses.

The chicken quesadilla at the food court is my favorite.

This September will be our 6th stay at the POFQ, and certainly won't be our last. We love it there

We'll be at FQ 7/13 thru 7/17. Decided to spend some time at Disney while we visit DisneyGranny(my kids have called my mom this since they were little!) in Orlando. Haven't stayed at FQ in a while. Anyone know what buildings used to be smoking? Have a DD with bad allergies and we don't want to take chances with old smoke odors. Thanks!

By the time of your stay, it'll be just over 13 months that the resorts went smoke-free. On top of that, all the former smoking rooms got deep cleanings just after the change-over.

We haven't read any reports of lingering smoke odors this late in the game.

I stayed at POFQ 2 years ago and for the life of me can't remember what kind of coffee filters I would need. I think they are 4 cup coffee makers but are they round or cone shaped filters? Also are the laundry machines free or coin type? I know they are free at OKW but are they free at POFQ? 46 days and counting down. Thanks

The laundry machines are not free. They are around $1.75(maybe $2.00) per load I think. Not sure about the coffee filters.

If no pictures pop up before we go in August, I'll make sure to take LOTS of them and post when we get back. That will still give you a litte time before you're trip..

Thanks a bunch fsmith2845! I would just love to see a bit of everything such as the pool, the lamposts, the outside of the buildings lit up, the pathways, maybe the reflection on the river, etc. I don't think I've seen any nighttime pics anywhere of POFQ...plenty of POR, but not what I'm looking for. Any pics you can take would be great, thanks again for offering. I can't wait to go in October and knowing you will be taking lots of pics will keep me going until my trip

my pleasure.... I'll see what I can do. We just bought a new camera so we'll try it out with the nighttime settings and stuff.. anxious to see how it turns out. if you think of anything specific semd me a PM and i'll see what i can do..

One tip, no matter how good your camera is, always use a tripod for night-time shots. Early morning is great too, as there are less ripples on the water if you want good reflections. I'll try to get some POFQ night photos in August too, then we can compare notes afterwards.

We're staying at POR, from 19th August for two weeks.

I certainly hope to meet up with some online forum folks during my stay, and given the amount of fellow Brits (mostly from another board) who are staying at the same time, I think I could probably just throw a feather in the air in the food court and it would, as likely as not, land on one.

It depends on where people are staying on your bus. When I went in 06 the ME bus didn't stop at OKW because no one was staying there. We did stop at SSR and dropped off a couple of people, then we got off. Most people were getting off at POR.
