Is their a place where my dad can get a six pack? he likes to have a few beers at night but dosent want to sit in the lounge. Do they have beer to go? On the other hand my DH and I would like to sit in the lounge and have a drink or 2 or 5:lmao:How is the lounge?

I liked the lounge. It is small and the bar is far enough away from the tables and the entertainment that I saw some families enjoying the music with their kids. The bartenders are friendly and the jazz singer I heard was awesome. Have a great time!

I'm sure you can get it in the gift shop, if not I'm sure Cassabella will correct. Not being beer drinker I'm not 100% certain. I know they have milk.

Yes, you can buy 6-packs in the gift shop, it's $12.70 for one of Budweiser, Bud Light, Miller Light or Coors Light, and $16.09 for Corona or Heineken. They also sell them by single cans, although they are $4 each, so the 6-pack is a much better deal.

I knew you'd know. It's so cool to have someone on the inside. ;)

Can anyone update me on the hot tub situation? I know that at one time there was a hot tub at POFQ and I also heard that it was closed or removed.
My FIL will be traveling with us in Sept and he has Rheumatoid Arthritis. We plan on making him use an electric scooter, but he is stubborn and proud and will try to weasel out of it. It would be nice to know if there is a nice hot tub that he can relax in after a long day at the parks....

We just got back yesterday and the hot tub was open our entire stay. We didn't try it out but it always seemed to be full. It looked nice from just walking by it.

just wanted to say that I'm leaving for POFQ in 35 days and have never stayed there before! I'm so excited! and I'm also getting married on that trip and have a lot of friends and family coming to stay at POFQ so I hope they all love it as well.

I chose this resort BECAUSE it's smaller and my father and soon to be mother in law have bad backs and can't do a lot of walking (I think we need to rent them a wheelchair or scooter either way though) and I heard it's one of the more romantic moderate resorts (my fiance and I are going to take a carriage ride the night before our wedding, but he doesn't know it yet! ;) )

yay! I can't wait!!! :yay:  :thumbsup2 :dance3:

What a perfect thing to do the night before your wedding. Congratulations.

Can anyone tell me about the pool bar at POFQ? What you've had there in the way of food/drinks (alcoholic or not) that was yummy or not? Also, does anyone know if they accept Disney Giftcards at the pool bar or is it a cash only kind of place? Thanks!

I work at the gift shop, and we sell a few kinds of wine, the cheapest is about $18. No sparkling juice though.

Hey! Bowling Green!! Some good friends of mine went there for college.

Going to be at POFQ 8/18-8/23, hopefully we'll see you there!!

Can anyone tell me if they have any washing lines at POFQ? :laundy: We will probably use the laundry room to wash our clothes, but I am a bit reluctant to put one or two of our things in the tumble dryer in case they shrink! Obviously with the air con, it will take ages to dry things, but just wondered if anyone can tell me a good place to hang items that can't go in the dryer :)

Normally, I just drape those items over the back of the chair in the hotel room, then sit the chair where the A/C blows on it. Doesn't take that long to dry that way.

Over the bath tub is a pull line that you can stretch from one wall to the other. We've hung bathing suits and towels there. Its not long enough or strong enough to hold a lot, but certainly enough to hold the one or two things you don't want to put in the dryer.

No food at Mardi Grogs that I can recall. Pretty standard bar drinks, plus at least one pre-made frozen drink machine. They take room charge, which also means they take Disney gift cards. As a general rule, every place in the theme parks and WDW resorts is hooked up to take room charge/gift cards/credit and debit cards. The only exception I can think of is roving vendors that sell the junk in front of and behind parades.

Could someone tell me please which building/s used to be smoking? Thanks so much. This is a great thread with lots of great pics. Just when I think I have it all figured out, I find another resort that I'm interested in :)

how i get the mugs where in the Port Orleans French Quarter.

If I understand your question correctly, you are asking where to purchase refillable POFQ mugs at the resort.

Refillable mugs can be purchased at Sassagoula Floatworks (the food court), but they do not say "Port Orleans" as they used to. The refillable mugs are now the same as the ones sold at all the other resorts, in the theme of the Year of a Million Dreams.
