Thanks!

The last two times she has received towel animals. In December there was a swan on top of the tv along with toothbrush holders, soap holders, a couple other little holders.

:goodvibes I love POFQ!!!

Thanks for all the replies about the hairdryer and coffee maker. (I'll remember to pack my Dunkin donuts coffee and filters :teeth: ) and Yippee...don't have to pack the hairdryer. My TA has requested the room preference for us. Hope we get it...but if not-Hey..we're still in Disney!

As of right now, my family is booked for a return stay at POFQ after a great stay last August (05)! I'll admit we were looking to try out POR this trip, but right now we are totally satisfied with POFQ. Both resorts compliment eachother so no matter which one we stay at, we will be happy. August 17th to the 23rd are out dates, free dining should be great. We paid for it last year and even then it was WELL worth the cost. I am hoping to get a better view this year, last year was of a courtyard and parking lot, still was a great spot.

If you happen to forget you DD coffee, the coffee in the rooms is actually a french roast and not that Nescafe stuff, it is actually pretty good, and they even had coffee mate in the packages not whitener (chalk) as some places have. :sunny:

Hello! General Question here...
DBF and I will be at POFQ towards the end of September. We are planning on our flight arriving at MCO about 10:30. Taking Magical Expres...that puts us at POFQ about 12 or 12:30 ish. Check-in time I see is 3pm. Can we check in early, even if our room is not ready yet? TIA!

hiya - you'll have a great time, my DBF and i stayed at POFQ a few weeks ago and it was so romantic and perfect, we loved it! you can check in before check in time, and you may even be able to go to your room if it is ready. if it isn't ready yet, the front desk can take your luggage if you want to head to the parks or the pool. there's also a gift shop & bar where you could kill some time at the resort - or go to Downtown disney, there's a ferry that runs from POFQ to DTD, it's great!

We are planning a trip for next April. There are going to be 7 adults and 3 kids, ages 8, 6 and 2. Based on all of the books I've read, and this website, we have decided on POFQ. I just have one quick question: Is it possible to get 3 adjoining rooms? It will be so much easier if our kids can run between the rooms instead of having to go out in the hall.

TIA!
Amanda

annasmomma, you cannot get 3 connecting rooms. We tried and we got 2 connecting and 1 adjoining. Guess they do not have 3 rooms. It worked out ok. Just ask for 3 and they will give you the 2 with 1 adjoining. Have fun~!!!

We will be at POFQ Aug 13th, and I was wondering something about the pool. Do they care if two people go down the slide together? (Silly ?) My Grandson (4) may not ever try it, unless his Grandpa goes with him. Then we may not get him off of it!

They will not let two people go down at the same time. You can have one person walk him up there and the other at the bottom of the slide to catch him. We did this with my son, and while he was nervous, after the first time he loved it.

They are pretty strict with the slide. They also insist that everyone ride sitting on their bottom. When we were there they would not allow kids to slide while someone was still in the pool in the slide area but they did encourage kids who weren't confident to wear life jackets they supplied. My daughter (6 but a very strong swimmer) was a bit nervous that it was going to be "too fast" but after watching a few kids go she was ready and had a great time.

What about arm floaties? Will they allow kids to wear them in the pool?

Thanks.

We were there last week and I saw 1 or 2 kids with arm floaties. BTW, they have complimentary life vests available as well.

We are going to POFQ 10/22-10/29, it will be DH's birthday during this trip!
Everything looks so great and sounds amazing about this resort! We stayed at POP last year and loved it, so I am sure we will love POP! Can't wait for the beignets...my aunt from Texas used to bring us the Cafe Du Monde (???could be wrong about the name, sorry New Orleans people!) beignet mix when she visited us in Chicago (she traveled to New Orleans all the time) and I loved it!!!
The theme looks wonderful. I love gardening, so I am excited to see the landscaping. :yay:

Is this a new rule or possibly one they only enforce during busy times? When we stayed at POFQ in OCt. of 2002 they let me go down the slide with my 3 year old son in my lap. He loved the slide so we rode it over and over every day until I wanted to scream ;) They were several people doing this but we may have gotten away with it because there weren't many people in the pool.

I don't know how new the rule is. We went in Jan. so it wasn't crowded at all. It may be something that is new to a lot of pool slides. We have a really neat slide in our neighborhood pool. We just got a letter a couple of weeks ago saying that per the law, children cannot go down on someone's lap. Ours even has height requirement now too. So maybe it is just something that is changing across the board.

There must have been a lot of injuries to cause a new law. I'm just glad my kids are old enough to go by themselves now :thumbsup2 . It is such a fun pool that I would hate for them to miss out.
